Motorhead's Michael 'Wurzel' Burston died while pouring a pint of Guinness, the band have announced.
The guitarist, who joined Motorhead in 1984 before leaving in 1995, died on July 9. He was 61.
In a statement, his former bandmates said: “We are greatly saddened to confirm that our long-time friend and comrade Würzel died Saturday at his home.
“Würz was pouring a Guinness and cracking a joke when he succumbed to a heart attack; at least we know he went with a smile.”
They added: “It is a cliche to say that words cannot describe how we feel, and in this case, other than ones such as 'shit' and 'awful' and 'very very sad' it is true, they really can't.”
As previously reported on Gigwise, Motorhead paid tribute to Wurzel during their performance at the Sonisphere festival on Sunday (July 10).
Although he left in 1995, Wurzel rejoined the group in recent years to play festivals.

So, i just watched Live in Paris. You would have to think the post production work was done by a disgruntled employee or something. It is so terrible I can't begin to explain. Has anyone else thought the same thing? The guy needs to have 'less is more' explained to him.
Homemade youtube productions look better.
I had to turn my TV off and just listen to the audio, which is great, naturally. Just glad the dude who was handling the post visual special effects didn't have anything to do with the audio. Imagine how crap that would have been?

Happy Birthday Joe!
Hi Everyone!
Just letting you know I'm doing good and hanging in there with my work and running, and doing some karaoke. I ran a 3-Miler race last Saturday and got my best time for this year. I've also put in some 5K runs at least once a week for now, as part of my speed workouts. I have two races coming up this Saturday.
Al Surfer: That's great that you and your son got to see Joe. Priceless hands down.
Talk to you soon peeps, and Joe, hope it went well for you, at your show in Hammond, Indiana. Happy Birthday!
Grant

How can you keep making such epic music?
All i know is, your the best guitarist alive.
Please dont give up, keep going 'till you're 245
People everywhere love your music
You rock man!
Brilliant music, so emotional
Interesting melodies, but they fit in perfectly.
Rocking out is what you do.
Trying to please, and succeeding every time
Haters should just go and jump down a large hole
Damn them, their opinion doesn't count anyway
Album after album, there's always something new
You are a genius, and no one can stop you.
Joe Satriani, Happy birthday to you.
OMG! Live in Paris had some horrible video FX
Everyone wishes you a very happy birthday
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOE SATRIANI!
