Joe/Jon, please keep this website and forum going...I'm an "oldie" who doesn't like figuring out new things and this still works for those who want to be here. I have no idear how google+ or whatever works. And have met some wunnerful peoples here from around the world.
Maybe instead of taking the site down, there's a way to re-vamp and re-vitalize it!
Pretty please with sugar on top :)

How to Survive the Holidays -- Inner Peace
I'm passing this on because it worked for me today..... A Dr. on TV said in order to have inner peace, we should finish things we started & we all could use more calm in our lives.
I looked around my house to find things I'd started & hadn't finished, so I finished off a bottle of Merlot, a bottle of Chardonnay, a bodle of Baileys, a butle of wum, tha mainder of Valiuminun scriptins, an a box a chocletz. Yu haf no idr how fablus I feel rite now. Sned this to all who need inner piss. An telum u luvum....

lmao! I say we get an #occupyt2j movement going on Twitter, but it gotta be @chickenfootjoe @yamboy
Good one Deb! Great inner peace post too. I'm almost at that point. My mum went back into the hospital yesterday (was in nursing home for rehab), and things just aren't looking to sweet for ol' Vivi. Taking one day at a time, and thanking Jesus for every one of them.
js black dog, hi 5! It seems these days the minority pretty much takes the piss out of everything, and the majority gets screwed. If one post on an internet forum can get somebody trippin balls like that, maybe the internet isn't the best place for them. I'm just sayin'. I have no beef with him, and to each his own.
Skippy, I bought a nice bottle of Yellowtail Chardonnay for our party tomorrow night. Hope I get a nip of it before it's all gone. lol!

Michelle - nice drop that Yellowtail. Enjoy several I say.
Jon - thanks for your message. I completely understand that Joe would only want to fund and support social media channels that maximise his market and keep people informed and engaged as much as possible. It's been great of Joe to fund this T2J "stream of consciousness" for such a long time and I enjoy it every day.
As a "Joe-consumer" I think a fan forum is an important channel that can't be replicated by Facebook, Google+ etc. If Joe decides to continue to fund T2J I do believe it needs to be upgraded into an easier to use format, so that topics can be easily identified and contributed to by those who want, and where forum members can message and chat.
The key ingredient though, is if Joe can spare the time to contribute to it. Understandably, he is probably flat out all the time either working, or promoting his work, or taking care of business. Facebook, Twitter, tumblr and any other social media sites do the job in terms of pushing information to the consumer. A forum, however, is where topics of discussion can be separated (which you can't do very well on Facebook) and threads easily read, and he can interact with members directly and exchange thoughts, feedback and comments. And that's what cements the relationship with fans and keeps them sticky.
Surprisingly, for someone so verbose and eloquent, Joe's written communications in social media are incredibly brief. I think the longest post I saw from him was about his fellow Squares band member who passed away. So I see the possible reluctance here for Joe to become more active in a forum when he may not feel comfortable with the written stuff, and he is probably starved for time.
Even if Joe can't contribute much in the way of posts, a forum still makes a big contribution to growing his brand. For example, I really like the Satriani-fr.com forum which is in both French and English. We chat about all things Joe and share information in a nano-second as soon as it's posted to FB, Twitter etc. and then dissect it to death :-)
Anyway, that's my $0.02.
Merry Christmas to all!
Skippy

Viewing postcount this is anybody but Joe's forum. Put this little incrowd out of its Web 0.0 misery. It's an embarrassment for a musician who releases a 3D-concertfilm.

Excuse me, I don't mean to be rude in anyway, but I was wondering if by any chance anybody personally knows Joe on this site? I'm curious because I have a proposition for him that I'd love to consider. I'm sure alot of you play guitar on here (As do I) and I was curious as to if Joe would take me on as his pupil. I'm sure there's a lot of people out there who would pay top dollar to learn from him and why wouldn't they; all I'm asking is to talk to him. I'm sure he's busy with his latest tour but if I could just get the chance I'm willing to devote my life to his teaching.
If anybody actually read all that, I appreciate your time and patience. Thank you:]

Maybe if Joe read this:P
Thanks!!!

Merry Christmas!
It's just turned 25th December here. Kids are asleep, presents are out, milk is drunk, cookies is eaten, carrot is munched. Not much snow around though... Lol!
I vote 1 to t2j and to google. Minus forty billion for farcebook.
Do you guys know Facebook is suing Mark Zuckerburg? I think the only thing more sad than that is some guy actually
changing his name to "Mark Zuckerburg" just to piss off Mark Zuckerburg. Hahaha
Have a great Christmas all!

Mr. Satriani, in your best interests I believe you need to bring G3 or yourself through the major cities in Canada! I know you are a busy man with everyone on your shoulders. I would be glad to see you perform, especially in Edmonton, Alberta! I'm an avid listener of your musical stylings. Missed your last tour in 2010! Thanks for your time.
Regards,
The Sig
