Any idea what happened to the tour dates for Joe's last solo tour? They aren't listed in the road archives. I'm trying to date a couple of shows I attended.
Thanks.

So who is going to Portland and who is going to Lake Tahoe???
Trying to make up my mind about which show to attend here.... I'm leaning toward Portland because it's 26 minutes and 48 miles closer (according to google maps). But, I like Tahoe because I HATE driving through Oregon and I could probably make up that time by not having to worry about the cops over there, lol.
So, who is going where????
Ian
EDIT- Not to mention, I could see the boys two days in a row if I can afford the tickets if I went to Tahoe.... Hmmm.. I imagine you Oregonians already have your minds made up, yes? Or does the thought of a double-header tempt you enough to make that drive?

Ian....I'd do both shows in Tahoe AND the one in Portland if I could afford it. Things are very tight now, so I'm not even sure I can do one show. It's breakin' my heart too, Joe is our only vacation anymore.
Both locations have pros and cons for me. My CF fan club membership expired though, so to get the seated venue in Portland would prolly mean sucky seats, cuz I'd be late to buy tix with no pre-sale codes. Sigh.....
You need to slow DOWN young man!! LOL!!!

The tahoe shows sound like a trip to the past for me. It my 21st wedding anniverysary and my wife's 3rd year in her new memories. lol. The portland show is only 30-40 minutes away compared to 12-14 hour drive. Maybe uncle Sam will leave us some folding money.

Hi Joe,
Big Vivid Fan from Claremont, North Carolina.
Have listened to your music for years. Truly Great.
But enough boot licking and butt kissing.
The reason I am writing is that it came to my attention, while listening to some of my 15 year old neices music in the house, that an erie similarity between NICKI MINAJ song "RIGHT THRU" and your song "ALWAYS WITH ME, ALWAYS WITH YOU" the intro sounds TOO close. Being an unpublished poet it would tick me off to have other persons twist and distort my art. Thought I would bring it to your attention to check it out.
Your loyal fan,
Barry

Hey Skippy, Fatape is going, but we'll be sitting separately. My girl has shouted me for my Birthday. She's not going, apparently they don't sound like the Black Eyed Peas, so she is giving it a miss. lol

Joe,
I write this with the hopes that this personally and directly finds you. All following will sound crazy and understand that it does because I have personally witnessed what celebrity infatuation can be. I was a bodyguard for Gavin De Becker INC. in 2001 in Los Angeles. I write this to you now because I desperately seek direction. I have been a guitar player for over twenty years and in the law enforcement field for almost the same. I have worked assignments ranging from SWAT to ultimately narcotics that changed my life forever. I am an avid Christian and that is also why I write this. I have been listening to your music for over twenty years as a source of healing. Songs like I Believe changed me as a teenager. Made of Tears gives me SO much healing and am listening to God is Crying now as I write this.
I write this because I believe in Christ Jesus and saw you wearing a shirt in guitar player magazine, thought and prayed about this email. I met you at the rear of the Granada Theater in Dallas, Texas on January 18th, 2011. That night also changed my life forever. You have been my musical idol for years and I have been to many shows. I took that trip to see you in concert and visit Stevie Ray Vaughan’s gravesite. The night that I saw you play, I kid you not, you threw a guitar pick right at my feet. On a whim I told my buddy to go to the rear of the building to maybe, just maybe meet you and thank you for all of the inspiration you have given me and my kids. I called to you, “Can we thank you Joe?” Moments later we met and I asked if I could have your hands. You jokingly told me no and I accepted and parted ways. That night was a pivotal moment for me in the fact that I met you but also lost me family. While I was in Texas visiting I later found out that my wife had cheated and my family then fell apart.
During the course of the last twelve months my life has changed dramatically. I have lost everything I thought I held dear. I used to have a large enough house and stuff to fill it. It’s gone. So be it. I lost my wife who I was also unequally yoked as scripture says. It is what it is. I have recently decided to quit law enforcement because I want to quit gambling with my life and chase what I once wanted as a child. A shot. I am a great guitar player, great bodyguard/security specialist and know my work well. I am free because God has told me to free myself and break the chains. I am truly free to chase my dreams. That is what this lengthy email is.
I have several talented, undirected musicians in the Tucson area and am putting a project together. Several R and B singers, gospel singers, and I am a blues player at heart. One girl has made it to the American Idol finals twice and missed shot. None of this means anything without me saying my purpose. The purpose of this entire heartfelt email is this…..I need direction from you where to go. I am seeking a job in either personal security for bands, band members you may know or otherwise. I also am seeking direction to possibly get some talented musicians together for their shot. Great people who have a dream like I do to maybe, just maybe do their dream before they die. This is the one and only email I will send to you. I say this because I have worked in the industry and know what people can do. This is not that. This is a heartfelt request from a lost samurai who needs direction. I can be contacted at fignewton48027@gmail.com. And can also provide a resume so you know I am the real deal. Blessings to you and all of your loyal fans and above all, praise Christ Jesus, for if it weren’t for him, we would all be lost. Like you gambled your fifteen thousand to make Surfing with the Alien, this is my gamble. Blessings.
