Cheeso - Mr Skip and his buddies do the Round The Bay ride every year, that's 250km. Most weekends they would do 50km on Saturday morning and 100+km on Sunday mornings.
Best of luck to Chris.
Joe - can you play Leaving On a Jet Plane?
You can tell I had some time to kill today - crank up the LOAJP and sing along everyone:
All my bags are packed
Black T shirts ready to go
I'm standin' here outside my door
I love it when I’m just about to fly
But the dawn is breakin'
It's early morn
The taxi's waitin'
He's blowin' his horn
Already I'm so excited
I could die
So kiss me and smile for me
Tell me that you'll be at G3
Rock out like you'll never let me go
Cause I'm leavin' on a jet plane
With Steve and Steve I'll see Skippy again
Oh babe, I love a show!
There's so many times I've played the clown
So many times I've played around town
I tell you now, those shows mean everything
Ev'ry place I go, I'll think of you
Ev'ry song I sing, I'll sing for you
When I come back, I'll bring Jeff and Galen too
So kiss me and smile for me
Tell me that you'll be at G3
Wave to me like you'll never let me go
Cause I'm leavin' on a jet plane
Rockin out with Skippy again
Oh babe, I love an Aussie show
Now the time has come to play for you
One more time
Let me rock you
Then close your eyes
I'll be on my way
Dream about the gigs to come
When I won't have to leave so soon
And I can stay and play until I’m old and grey
Oh, kiss me and smile for me
Tell me that you'll be at G3
Shout to me like you'll never let me go
Cause I'm leavin' on a jet plane
Killing it with the Aussies again
Oh babe, I love a show
Yeah, I'm leavin' on a jet plane
Gonna rock in Australia again
Oh babe, I love a show!
Hehe, chances of including that one in the setlist?
Please resume normal transmission

In other news, a 23 year old fell down with a heart attack during a Premier League football (soccer to the cousins over the pond) on saturday and he's still in hospital intensive care in critical condition.

marktaylor, sorry you're having such a hard time. Take care of your kids. They are the future. I hope you figure things out. I have no advice. My cup is full over here trying to sort my own. Good luck & don't give up.
roger777, if you go to page 10 of his messages, you'll see that Joe's last post was last month.

Hi,
I am coming from Spain to the Marshall's 50th Anniversary gig at Wembley Arena in September.
I'm a huge fan of Joe Satriani (he's had a huge influence on me) and I'm basically going to London just to see him.
Would it be possible to meet Satch backstage at some point just for five minutes?
Maybe I could teach him something!!!!!!
Looking forward to your reply
Cheers,
Louis

After I emailed D&E on Saturday about film posters, I received the following reply today:
Hi Ian,
You can now purchase the poster using the link below to D&E's online store.
http://www.dandeentertainment.com/store/official-joe-satriani-satchurated-in-3d-film-poster/
Let me know if you have any questions and thanks for reaching out.
Best,
Jonathan Chaupin
Director of Film Marketing & Distribution
www.DandEentertainment.com
You can now purchase the OFFICIAL Joe Satriani Satchurated film poster from the D&E store for US $19.99. It doesn't say whether or not they ship overseas... I had trouble adding one to my cart from both Firefox and Chrome, so I ended up buying it from my phone...

Guitarman77897 - Signal based effects up front (Wah, OD...) Time based effects in the loop (delay, reverb, chorus, phaser, flanger, envelope filters). That's the "normal" way however do some experimenting. My set up is GTR -> WAH -> Mesa MKIV -> FX out -> Digitech 2120 -> FX in -> Cab so all my effects except the wah are in the loop.

Hi Joe !
My name is Gianclaudio from Italy
I don't know if you read sometimes this forum , i hope you will do someday ...
I want only to thank you for your music ... All your work , your songs , your books , all the videos in youtube where you explain some technic exercise or where you show your gears...Thanks for all , your music push me to improve my talent day after day , to improve my sound , my technic... Your songs are the soundtrack of my days . I don't know how you can do the half of what you do in your songs ... I don't speak only about the techinc ... i speak about feelings , the emotional impact of your songs , and you can do all this things without words , speaks , sing... only with your guitar. This is so amazing . For example if i had a bad day or i'm sad if play Summer Song or only listen in my headphones the bad mood go away...look around on youtube , all people do a cover of summer song ...smile while playing ! And this, is for all your songs , a great emotional impact... I think only a good man can reach the heart of the people in this way and give in all of his songs all the feelings (happy or even sad) that all people experiment in his life and for all i thank you..
Thanks Mister Joe Satriani thanks for all ...
PS. Sorry if my english is so bad i hope you understand all i say .

Happy birthday Jason. Hope you have a great day!
Joe is 55, but you'd never know it by his stage performance! I swear as the rest of us get older, he's getting younger! lol! You'll see for yourself soon enough. Good luck on the back stage passes!! I'm rooting for ya!

Skippy- I won't lie; I tried to squeeze one out of D&E for free because the film wasn't screened in my state or anywhere near here. (I did BUY a ticket to the Anaheim show so that I could enter to win the lesson with Joe, haha!). But, I don't mind paying twenty bucks for it. Be nice to have it signed signed some day!

Time Machine pedal arrived today, I put it at the end of the signal chain, as recommended, and no sound. Then I put it before my RP90 and the sound came back, but the delays from both of them interfere with each other. If I turn off the delay from the RP90, it cancels the sound from the Time Machine. I tried taking the RP90 out of the chain, and all the other pedals work, but the tone sucks.
What should I do?
By the way I have no effects loop on my amp. Am I just SOL?
