Zinc Master- I have been wondering the same as you, and so far have found no "official" pre-orders that would offer autographs or anything special as far as that goes. I went ahead and pre-ordered mine from Amazon.com. They may very well wait until about 2 weeks out or a little less before the release date before they set up anything like that, though. I keep checking the home page every time I get on here.
Two Shay- Sorry to hear about your friend. At least it sounds as though you two ended things on positive terms, and you got to say goodbye to him. You can't ask for a whole lot more than that I suppose.
Michelle- Sorry to hear about your mother as well. I guess there isn't much anybody can do when our time comes except accept it. Sounds like she left behind a lot of people that cared deeply for her, and the grieving process has just begun.
Positive vibes and well wishes to both of you. Remember that we are always here for you guys!

Love ya to pieces chelle, always.
Jason, Chris and I were at a show in 2004...the tour Joe did with Deep Purple and Thin Lizzy in Reno, Nevada. Joe broke a string on one of the songs....and he kept on going to finish it. I think they likely finished the song earlier than planned, but truth be told, Joe played so well even though it went out of tune that we didn't even notice until he said something about it after the song was over. He apologized!! And we were like..."really?" No clue that happened!
YES...Joe is just THAT good! :)
Happy Easter everyone.

Thanks - I was hoping I wasn't missing something. I have almost all of the recent releases autographed. I would like to continue the tradition.
If not, I have a gift card from Amazon and would probably get the CD / DVD free - kinda hard to pass that up.

Hi Joe, i'm new to the site and i signed up to ask you a BIGGG favor. my friend's birthday is coming up in late april and she loves you (and Petrucci, sorry about that ;)) so much that she dedicated her Ph.D thesis on turbulence to the two of you. She managed to had a copy signed by Petrucci and she would love to have it signed by you as well. It would be awesome if you could sign it when you'll be here in LA on june 10 but i understand that it is asking a bit too much. Alternatively if you could just sign the page dedicated to you and send back a scanned version, i'm pretty sure she'll be quite ecstatic as well . She'll be leaving the US to go back to Europe in july and probably this will be also a great farewell present. i know you must be busy and get all kind of crazy requests, by i hope you will read this. who knows she might invite you at her acceptance speech if she wins the nobel price ;). ciao giangi

Joe .. Hoping you are doing well on your tour
I just was thinking about you yesterday, I was thinking if you retire from your musicianship in the future? I think you might just start run your own guitar and gears using your own company , just like les paul that guitar builder, but this is just a thought

Dear Joe Satriani Staff,
Joe, you were one of the ones who made us do this guitar pedal. Just feel like all what's coming was dedicated to your very late interview when you said that once such a pedal is produced you just get one straight ahead;)
We would like to present to you the Farmer’s Mill - a guitar pedal which is first in the world to allow musicians to break the guitar sound. The idea of crushing the sound is simple yet very powerful and our team of professionals made it come true.
Farmer's Mill makes guitar sound like a burning and broken guitar cable. The only exception is that now you’re able to control this phenomenon. We call it "The Mill". Our pedal cannot be compared to any other sound processing unit and we hope it will open a new chapter in the guitar effects history.
Please review the attached brief material and visit us on the web in order to find more of the audio and video samples as well as the full press package. The Farmer’s Mill premiere took place on April Fool’s Day yet we are really serious about “The Mill” idea as it is absolutely original and new to the world of guitar pedals.
Also please visit the UK's MusicRadar website, where the first impressions on Farmer's Mill are described by Chris Vinnicombe (Guitarist, Total Guitar):

Hey, that Farmer's Mill pedal sounds pretty sweet! I could see where it could get annoying if a guitarist were to over use it, but, if used in the right quantities, that would really be a great addition to a pedalboard IMO.
Joe Satriani- You should really consider taking a look at that and listen to some of their demos; I could see you writing an awesome new track with that thing, or even adding some "mud" to a couple of your existing songs with it! At the next G3 you could cover ZZ Top's "Loaded"!

Thank you everyone. So much love backatcha!
Service is tomorrow morning at 11:00. Nerves are keeping me awake. Gonna be the hardest day ever. Have to grasp it in pieces because it's just to much. There will be a church full of love tomorrow, and I hope I can keep myself centered in those thoughts instead of the intense emotion that occasionally sneaks up on me and makes my heart sink into my stomach when the immensity of the situation hits me out of the blue. I'm fine, wanna cry, I'm fine - within 2 minutes. WTF was that? Creeper emotions! I appreciate the loving vibes and prayers coming from all of you more than you know. Life is in a whole new phase now. A Strange New World. Not really sure I'm ready to let that sink in. I'm happy for my mom. No more suffering and sadness. She's in God's Glory now. It's just really gonna suck not having that funny ol' bird around to talk to.
Comfortably numb.
So - thanks again.
Much love -
M
