Dear Mr. Satriani,
My name is Matt Crimmins and I am a huge fan since the 80's. I just want you to know you are by far, in my opinion, the best guitarist on the planet.
Iam writing you this letter to see if if you can help me. I was a NYC Paramedic on the attacks on the WTC on 9/11/01 and sustained serious injuries. On that day I herniated discs in my back pulling fireman to safety and worked the bucket brigade tring to save survivors, unfortunately, there was no one left to save. Every since my rescue efforts I have lost 343 close friends and brothers on that terrible day and have developed really bad Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. On top of that, from my time on the "pile' I have had a massive heart attack leaving only 45% of my heart muscle left. I also sustaned herniated discs and nerve damage to my left shoulder. On that day. at the last minute i rushed into helping people and forget I left my Black JS 1000 in the trrunk which was looted along with my car getting trashed. Music is all I have and my guitar was all I had left to try to cope with the pain. Shortly thereafter, my mom dropped od a massive heart attack requiring 6 bypass surgeries and 6 mothes after that, at 38 my sister had cardiac arrest resulting in slight brain damage, then I went down trying to work full time and take care of them. I would like to know if you could find it in your heart to help one of your biggest fans have some joy in his life before my days are over. MYultimate rig, and I'm not being selfish would be the master JS1000 guitar and maybe a JSX COMBO so I can live the rest of my life in peace and when I get a few minutes here and there to play between taking care of my family, words could not explain the gratitute and thanks I would feel for you. I know you have a family and you can imagine what Im going through. Please Mr. Satriani. Ive been a fan forever and can use some help to get me through my last years of life.
Thank You with all my heart.
Sincerely and respectfully

Toosh, lots of us here are too! A bit uncool how the press is posting TMI spoilers and giving away the winners before we even get to see the show. Some of the best stuff is on after 11:00 pm here. I stood by myself in the middle of my living room the other night wanting to scream for Michael Phelps. LOL! How's anybody supposed to sleep after all that excitement!! Not really complaining though. It's our turn for a time warp I guess. It's usually the other way around with you guys getting our stuff in the middle of the night or early morning, so it's all good with the wonky way it's coming to us here in the US. I'm actually happy when I see other countries win that aren't the "main contenders" in the top 6 or 7 on the medal list.
Have you seen this wtf news? I mean really...wtf?? Just goes to show how important this stuff is to some folks. They hand their kids over to the trainers and have minimal contact with them for years. Kinda sad really. It's all consuming 24/7 - 365 for some of these folks. No life outside of training. I really hope the ones that don't go home with a medal realize that they are still Olympic champions.

WTF news indeed, it gets slightly more sinister though as stories emerge of kids being 'selected' at a very young age and taken away from their families for intensive elite training in their quest for olympic glory.

aaaaaaaaaaaaand just as I open up to the MSN homepage, it tells me who won the feckin women's gymnastics today! LOL! bastids!
Playing Stanley Clarke Journey To Love on Spotify. If anyone wants to hear the song Joe did with him, it's on the album 1, 2, To The Bass, and the song is called Hair. Search it and give it a listen. I talked to Joe about that song after one of the gigs a few years back. He said Stanley never gave him a copy, so he hadn't heard it. I was like "Um...you can buy it at the store." lol!

hey Joe, i watched the vid of you showing the guitars on the wormhole tour. i had a orange '73 camaro and that color is exactly the same as that orange guitar. its also very similar to the new orange camaro. it does look better on the car though. i wish Ibanez would make the light blue guitar with the single coils available. that would be cool.

Mr. Satriani,
My name is Evan Khan, and I would like to begin by saying that I have very much respect for you, and that I look up to you as a guitarist. I have to admit that I didn't begin playing because I heard you, in fact, the first time I heard you on CD, I din't get it. But now that I actually have some experience behind a guitar, I can really appreciate your unique, intricate style and technique. recently, I have found myself in a sort of musical hole where no matter what I do, I can't find hardly any inspiration for improvisation. I have started teaching myself music theory, but it isn't quite helping. I would very much appreciate it if you were to give me some tips and tricks to dig myself out. Thank you very much for your time and consideration. khanevan@yahoo.com
Very Respectfully,
Evan Khan
