Hey Joe, my wife and I are huge fans, and are excited that you are once again doing G3 performances, however, we notice you haven't set any US dates. Are you planning to extend the G3 touring into 2013 and play the US? If so, do you know the line up yet? We're big fans of Dream Theater and The Dregs as well so we're hoping it will be with John Petrucci and Steve Morse!

Freddy and Shannon, thanks so much for your kind thoughts. I know you've had your share of trials too and are finding your way through. It helps to have friends who care :)
Keeping my mom and Chris company as much as possible, doing little things and trying to help them cope. We do have moments of smiles and laughter as we remember something funny, or appreciate the beautiful fall colors. Precious moments together.

Cheese101 - Hi T, I've been meaning to post on here for weeks now and I wish yours wasn't the reason to prompt me back quicker
I'm so sorry for your loss, and to hear the news. I know you have great support both in person and here, and I hope that carries you through until times are a little easier
Sending you & yours thoughts, wishes and a big hug - and I'll deliver it in person at some point
I will toast to a great man tonight
Regards,
Phil

Here's a webcam at PSU Berks, which isn't to far from here. I don't know how long it will stay on, but you can see the weather from Hurricane Sandy that will be happening here. I'm getting reeeeeally nervous. I'm more worried about our daughter who just got a job in Baltimore and lives in Fed Hill about a mile from the Inner Harbor, and a few miles from the river on the other side. We're preparing the house outside now, and will try to do as much as we can to be prepared inside. For those of you closer to the coast, and especially my friends and their families in NJ & NY, stay safe! This isn't going to be pretty.

So Danny Johnson, the Guitar Hero world record holder, who placed #28 in the competition (I was 29th) won. But since he was 17 when he submitted the video, but is 18 now, he was disqualified. What a bummer!

Prepare your pets for hurricane Sandy. Make sure they are brought inside, wearing ID tags, have plenty of provisions, microchip info up 2 date.
The weather is still calm tonight. The hubs and i took a walk around the high school and middle schools this afternoon. Today is usually practice day or game day. There wasn't ONE single person on any of the fields. I can't remember the last time we walked past there and there wasn't anyone playing. Not even one person. No one walking but us. That was weird.

Joe is touring with a new studio album in the UK June 2013 - wonder if I can get over there???
Details Here
"The tour coincides with the news that Satriani will record a new solo album later this year for a worldwide release via Sony in May 2013.
The enterprising guitarist is also in the planning stages of releasing a career retrospective box set for spring 2013"
Good news, now I just have to find the money to get to the UK.....

Certainly hope a concert in St. Louis will be in your future - I have thoroughly enjoyed each of the ones I have gone too. A friend of mine turned me on to this phenomenal music almost 20 yrs ago and now I don't go anywhere without at least one CD in my car. As a guitarist himself, he strives to learn from the best and I believe he has certainly found the best.

JOE SATRIANI HEADS TO THE UK & NEW CD IN 2013
Joe Satriani, one of rock music's most respected and celebrated electric guitar players, will undertake a 10-date 2013 UK tour starting Saturday 8th June at the Manchester Apollo. This will be Satriani's first UK tour since 2010's Black Swans and Wormhole Wizards tour . Very special guest is blues guitarist Matt Schofield.
Tickets go on sale Friday 2nd November and can be booked online from www.ticketline.co.uk or call 0844 888 9991 or the venue direct. The tour coincides with Satriani's new solo album released by Sony worldwide in May 2013, followed by a career retrospective box set in the spring.
Earlier this year, Satriani performed a sold out concert with Chickenfoot at the London Brixton Academy in support of the band's second album III. He also embarked on multiple G3 tours in Australia, Europe and South America, had his music sampled in Nicki Minaj' hit single Right Thru Me, and appeared as himself in Brad Pitt's Oscar-nominated baseball film Moneyball.

Pipster...we're hanging in, cuz that's about all you can do. Today we bury my dad...well...his ashes. It already feels as final as it can get but I suppose this puts some type of closure on everything. I dunno. Just plain hurts all the time and yet we've all still gotta keep going and doing. Had a family dinner at my house last night and his absence was keenly felt. Irrevocable change.
Praying for those affected by hurricane Sandy that all will be safe and find a way to pick up the pieces after.
New album in May 2013 Joe? And a world tour starting in June in the UK? That's excellent :) Definitely gives peeps something to look forward to!

Hi Tracie,
your dad had a great innings \m/^_^\m/ even though he's gone he's still your dad, it's great that you were so close :)
*hug*
Leanne
p.s. "innings" is a cricket term. ie: your dad hit em for 6 ;)
edit - michelle - the only reason i signed onto facebook was to enter a U2 contest on talenthouse. right now i'm addicted to a new game on there called Joy Kingdom O_o "you play, animals win". the more you play it the more $$$ goes to animal charities.
my fellow T2Jers, please check out Animals Australia's new campaign MAKE IT POSSIBLE < it's been almost 5 years since i ate pork, let's end factory farming in Australia!

It's coming right through my back yard. Not cool!
I believe it's knocking on my door right now.
Lawd hepp us! This ain't gonna be pretty.
Check this out - Soldiers of the 3rd Inf Reg. stand guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier despite the worsening weather conditions. God Bless 'em!
So far the weather picks up, then dies down a bit. Not any worse than a regular rain storm so far, but some of the wind gusts are harsh. (I'm an hour west of Philadelphia)
President Obama was talking about the people being safe during the storm. A reporter asked "What about the election?" His reply was "Im not worried about that now, I'm worried about the people."
Off NJ shore 20 ft waves with 65 mph wind gusts. I think that's a regular day for Alaskan crab fishermen?
They're saying to watch your ass on this one. Once the eye of the storm and the calm come, there's some nasty shit coming up behind it. Don't get caught outside or going somewhere, because it ain't over until they say it's over.
Be safe peeps!
