Bronco Bamma FTW!
So, any thoughts on Mayor Bloomberg's decision to keep the NY Marathon on for Sunday? Here's the course. That's a LOT of people running through a lot of tore up areas. I know those people have a ton of clean up to do, and i know if I would have to put my clean up on hold over a weekend just so some people could run...c'maaan! Postpone it! IMO, the people hurting don't need a distraction, they need HELP! They will have water stations, fruit, PowerGels, Gatorade, Medical aid, toilets, and even bands to help motivate them - all for the runners, while thousands of cold hungry people need all of those things and haven't gotten anything yet. There's even a cheering zones for people to cheer on the runners.
I'm thinking, if these people have so much energy to burn off, how about they help the NY'er's with their clean up, share their water, food, and medical aid, and at the end of 12 hours they can all enjoy the bands and cheer for each other!
Maybe I just don't know enough about the monetary benefits of keeping the marathon going as scheduled, but I think there's enough chaos there already.
Any New Yorkers here to chime in?

Please come to IRELAND!
You have announced the UK 2013 dates but there's no sign of an Irish date. Please come to Dublin so I can see you for the first time

Dude, OMFG! Can they be serious? Do you think Matt Lauer was looking at the list of registered Democrats before he invited people WHO COME FROM THE AREA THAT WAS DAMAGED? When you think of rockers that come from the NY/NJ area, it's immediately Bon Jovi, Springsteen, Billy Joel. It's probably not so well know that Steven Tyler was born in Manhatten, or Christina from Staten Island and MJ from the Bronx. Can't anything just BE for the greater good of mankind? Everything has to be a pissing contest, and Fox "news" is the most pathetic entertainment channel on tv. Funny they haven't blamed Obama for the actual hurricane yet? The have already blamed him for jumping in and sending help TO SOON. That's like saying "Hello 911, my house is on fire. Could you please send a fire truck next week?" No matter which way the president would have went, there would have been something wrong with it. Were these folks loved as children?
Anyways - I know these guys would have been there if they could have. :-(

PeaceDeb, Coverage has been on every channel, every day, and for a few days that's ALL that was on tv. I think pic 12 is the same pic they've been showing where the front of the homes in the first row are literally gone. No front walls, and some side walls missing too. Some places the houses are completely off their foundations and laying on their sides, or laying hundreds of feet away, or just simply disappeared into thousands of pieces. I was just looking at a map of Long Island and seeing all the familiar names of places I know are close to Joe's heart. I know a lot of houses didn't survive the storm, but it's the people that you can't replace. This is just so huge you almost can't wrap your head around it.
Back to the happy thoughts.....

Looks as though some Irish fans don't have a concert, thats sad news, I suppose Liverpool is probably most convenient, if you have to travel. I usually have Birmingham Symphony Hall close, but no show there this time so just got tickets at Wolverhampton Civic Hall, can't wait....two years between tours....it seems longer.

I'm brand spanking new on this website. I just wanted to say that I'm so glad my friend from highschool introduced me to satriani and his music back in 2008. In 2010, I went and saw satch on his wormhole tour in upper darby, pa at the tower theatre with my friend and his dad. What a great show! To top it off, my friend and I made our way up to the front during the encore which was summer song, and I actually caught the stick satch threw out after campitelli did an awesome drum solo with it! Come back to philly for another awesome show satch!

Wow! I think it's been about 5 years since I've come lurking about, here... I've been way, way busy starting a business and working full time at a day job, not to mention I'm still playing as often as I can.
Some familiar folks still about and lots of new posters. Good to see everyone is still around.
Take care everyone!
