Tracy! Thanks :) I am indeed engaged to an amazing woman.
Now...last night was probably one of the coolest dinners I've ever had. Had dinner with Austin Lewis, Evan Brown, and of course my fiancé and her friend. One thing I have to say...there is no better fan community than Joe's. We had an awesome time talking guitar, satch, and even got to catch up on our own lives.
Satriani's humbleness and kindness to his fans absolutely runs down into the way the fans treat each other. I've never had a bad experience with this community and I'm just glad that 13 years later its still in tact.

Matt, it was a life-changing experience! Then again, so was listening to Surfing back in the '80s!!!!! Satch is a great inspiration as a musician and as a human being.
Thanks for the warm welcome guys

David, for me it was Crystal Planet in 98'. Changed my life :) that record alone pushed me to believe I could actually do this guitar thing. Haha
Chelle, Evan sure was from Philly. We're damn near 30...
"Time flies" tears for fears- head over heels ;)
I don't have any photos myself. To be honest I'm quite camera shy these days haha!! I really should have taken some though. Was a rare occasion...

Anyone else remember the old school satch sites? Mak and Evans Satriani fan site had those amazing factoids. Morkie, Frank Taylor was probably the first dude to post a satch tab on the net. I can't get over how old I am now :) 30...getting married. Idle thoughts really. I'm a bit jet lagged but I figured you folks never mind a thought or two!

Wow! The first wave of youngin's are 30!
I just happened to see this vid come across my twitter feed, and it left me speechless and feeling sick. Please keep the victims of Hurricane Sandy in your thoughts and prayers. This is Staten Island.
Unbelievable.

MJK, the half a house, flood line on the wall, the guys photos, and his dog - those things have been in my head all day. Unimaginable horror and trauma. God bless everyone affected, and everyone who's helped and said prayers.

Hi from Paris:
I'm Cecilia and unbelievably just learned about Joe's music recently after a 'big awakening'. Started the guitar last May as a consequence - first instrument ever. Saw the G3 tour in France this past summer and loved it. Of course, will be at the Paris show in June 2013.
The best thing I feel from his music is...freedom and expansion into the unknown. What about you?
