Hey Satch!! I am a coordinator for a Photo/ Video/ Media company here on Guam (at the moment) and one of countless struggling musicians (but then again; who's counting?)... For future realistic/ unimaginable productions sake, you may want consider this an intro to some kind of proposed thought and anticipated discussions of you visiting this place to some degree to maybe get the word out to people from this side of the world on your views as a musician/ mentor. Just saying!! Call it what you will, but I see no plans on you visiting in the current tour schedule so, I would have to wait for your next US Tour... Peace and have fun with the tour!!

Good to see Skippy's sig change! Good on ya! Congrats!
So... I don't know how many of you Satchaholics are very familiar with who Joe's touring band will be for this album.. but I am. Very. If you haven't seen Joe before or if you have, do NOT miss this tour. For anything. If you need any convincing just click on this.
I'll be seeing Steven Wilson next Tuesday in Toronto, so I'll get my first taste of live Guthrie Govan (one of my new favorites!) but I'll be robbed of seeing Marco Minneman because of his prior commitment to Joe. Chad Wackerman is no slouch, not by any stretch, so I can't be too sad. Almost like not getting to see Bryan Beller with Dethklok (heartbreaker) but getting to see Pete Griffin finally do some metal in Bryan's absence (dream come true!) was bittersweet.
C'mon everybody.. whadaya say? Is this going to be the most potent line-up Joe's ever had with him? I think yes. Also I'm thrilled to pieces that Mike Keneally made the cut, his contribution is brilliant imho.
smooches,
» Phył . . .

i'ts 12:30 am here and i'm back from the Perth Masterclass, it was great because I had an ailse seat, 5th row, left of stage. Joe played Wind Through The Trees, Satch Boogie, FIABD, AWMAWY, Surfing With The Alien, Dream Song, God Is Crying, Two Sides To Every Story < I think??, Just Like Lightnin, Crush Of Love and Summer Song.
below is what I posted on Joe's Facebook page and thought i'd post it here just incase he doesn't see it.
Hi Joe, I hope you still have the RFDS (Royal Flying Doctors Service) goodie bag that I gave you at tonight's Masterclass in Perth >=:) sorry for putting the RFDS hat on your head without asking :( but the photo/signing session was so fast and I wanted us both to be wearing the RFDS hat >=:) there is also a card in the bag for you, I hope you found it. Love & respect Leanne (BigBunny)

Hi Joe,
Looking forward to getting the new album. Will you be playing in DC for this tour? Also, can you ask Ibanez to put the Blue JS with the three single pups you used in the experience Hendrix tour into production?????

Mr Smooth - may have already been general info on the blue single-coil prototype guitar, as I've been off the grid a bit... here is a repost of some info I had and posted back in 2010 :)
turbo236 - I asked Joe about the single coil back in March after his performance at Sweetwater sound. I had seen him the week prior during the Experience Hendrix show in Chicago. I had been meaning to type up all the details about it, but did ask at the time if it would be coming out as a production model, but he wasn't sure at that time.
(I had also asked Mike Manning [Joe's tech] after the Chicago EH show if he thought it would be coming out, and he thought maybe yeah)
If I remember correctly, the single-coil was a prototype that dated back before the JS1200, but the 1200 just came together quicker. (I'll have to check the video I took with my phone to recall all the details)
The blue of the single-coil in concert is BLINDING (In a good way)
Peace, T2J crew!!!
EDIT:
Enjoy! - I asked him, and here is some of the general info on the single coil direct from Joe back on 3/22/10:
"On tour I've got an alder wood version one, and the blue one that you saw me play is the basswood version one, and that does sound better."
"Yeah, it's basswood, it's got these new DiMarzio pickups in 'em, a chopper and two fast tracks. It sounds really great, we didn't have those pickups back when we were working on the guitar originally, so it was really the R&D for the 2400 that led me to bring out the prototype and try these new pickups. So Steve Blucher from DiMarzio sent those to me and uh, I like the maple neck is nice. The frets are a bit small for me, so it's a little harder for me to bend notes, but it was no time to get the thing refretted in time for the tour so..."
