Skippygirl - You've probably already heard it by now, but I asked Joe about how he likes recording at Skywalker, considering he's made albums there with three different lineups now. I could've asked something more directly related to his music, but I thought this was a good shot for something different.
I loved the call toward the end, asking about Saying Goodbye and a possible FIABD anniversary release...both of those are the obscure types of questions I usually come up with, so it was great hearing someone else ask them for once. ;-)
BigBunny - You're missing out on Rush. I'm sure we've talked about this before at some point, but have you ever given them a chance? Just not your thing?
thefireman - Great to hear from you, Ken! It's been a long time...how's life treating you?
michelle - It sounds great on headphones, doesn't it? What's your favorite song right now? Is it still Jumpin' In?
I got a "that Satriani guy is pretty good" text from my dad a few minutes ago (he's flying home from a business trip and listening to a lot of MP3s). He hasn't even heard the new album yet, but it'll blow him away...
...Austin...

Austin - yes I did just listen to it then. Way to go with the shout for the T2j folk :) Unfortunately the replay jammed at clip 3 so I couldn't hear the rest of it.

Dear Joe,
I have some music compositions,I have played them with my cheap guitar and low sound quality,I know you don't have time but I like you to listen them if you can. They are recorded on my computer and I have no idea how to make you listen them actually. It would be good,my opinion.
All the best!

Hello everybody. I'm not exactly new but back with a new account. It's been quite a long time since my last connection. Whatever I just want to say a few things.
1) Joe if you read this your album is amazing. The more I'm listening to it the more I'm loving it ! You're the coolest man in the world.
2) Then I'll have the luck to see Joe in live for the first time in June 3rd in Paris ! My father bought the tickets for me ( what a nice present ! ) and a few days later Joe announced Unstoppable momentum... I was so happy.
3) Now just for the fun: I went to the circus a few weeks ago ( Cirque d'hiver - Paris) and I saw a crazy Mexican knife-thrower throwing knives with Surfing with the Alien played by a small orchestra... So unexpected but very cool at the same time.

Listening to Unstoppable Momentum through headphones while I work....
Each song is so different from each other but all together, this album just feels like such a celebration of LIFE. I don't know how to say it any better than that. It's taking me through so many different emotions with each song...
I just sit here grinning ear to ear and bopping along with Three Sheets to the Wind...and then along comes I'll Put a Stone on your Cairn and I get tears every time...now A Door Into Summer and I can feel the breezy air going by....EVERY single song triggers such an emotional response in me!!!
If someone sat and watched me as I listen to the entire album, they'd think I was crazy, lol!!! But this is what I love best about Joe...honest emotions come through in his music, I feel them deep inside, and then morph them into my own feelings based on what I get from each song. No other musician affects me as he does and I'm so grateful to have found him.
Thanks so much Joe, you are such a bright light in my world :) Don't know what I'd do without ya!!

Looking forward to the new CD as always. But as many of you know I haven't been the biggest fan of the last couple or the Chickenfoot stuff. Hoping for some energy out of this CD.
Meanwhile back in PDX we played a show and got some video for a few songs.
Death Mex
The Snake
Gabriel's Hammer
Then I also did a Rig Rundown of the gear I'm going to be using on our new CD.

Still having doubt on which song I prefer between jumpin in and out...
Both are so cool, deep and beautiful at the same time... There' s an absolutly beautiful and pure moment around 2:30 in Jumpin' out that's maybe what will make the difference.

It's that time again....
I had a little bit of spare time thisarvo, enough to get the guitar out, and video a song while learning it, so here is my cover of
Three Sheets to the Wind which I'm thinking may just be the marmite/vegemite song on the album?
Dedicated to our favourite posh (irish) guy who likes a tipple and gets into scrapes, and for whom the song was written.
Cheers everyone, have a good weekend whatever you're doing

The chorus melody for Lies And Truths is just about the greatest thing I've ever heard. Been stuck in my head for the past couple of days.

Pipster, excellent job again. Did you find my post on FB?
Al, what Cheesey said. I defo think we need footage of you on the last bus home tonight to go with Pip's video.
Cheese, totes agree about how each song makes you feel and I think the sequencing of the tracks is brilliant.
Joe, hope rehearsals are going well, I'm sure you're about to pack those cool orange pants and head off to Turkey. Safe travels.
