Campbell - I'm catching up on posts, and so sorry for your loss. I completely sympathise with you. Try and keep your head up, lots of good people here to help. My tip, don't play track 5 from the new album
Kevvh1 - hey mate, what took you so long to get on this site lol. Welcome. New foot in the fall
Cheese, Chelle, Skip, Uncle Tom Cobley and all.... - realise I owe y'all emails. Getting there... promise. Lets say 3 days rather than 3 years :-p
JS Blackdog - so after a few more listens, what do you think?
Skip - I'm sorry about your bad news, I hope various things are keeping you on the up. There's always sweet & sour huh! Put a stone on your cairn is the guaranteed tear puller
SpaceAli - Joe uses original edge, it's his preference. You need to be careful as to which JS you are fitting an edge to as depending on the age/model the routing in the back may not allow it
Oxley11 - that hook in Lies and Truths is exactly the one I mentioned. It's just epic.
Blue Moon - loving your way out of trouble, good attitude there mate. Trouble does also cover wrong buses etc ;-)

Three Sheets to the Wind cover
Thanks for the positive vibes on this guys. Have the album on at any opportunity, and the songs are just going in I guess
Cheese - it's a great groove, and I have a little movie in my head. Is that why you smile too? No idea how they translate quickly for me, expect Joe plays them light years differently. Celebration is definitely on the list. A fave for you already?
Skippy - thanks dearest, but a no on the FB post. We def need a bus video and some editing. Not sure I have the software lol

Thank you, Mr. Satch. Maybe it was partly the fact that my grandmother passed this past Wednesday, but the new album has been an uplifter for me.Thank you for the free download. I am stoked to receive my new guitar strap, and the new cd in the mail. I havee been a fan for 19 years, now, and you still surprise my ears and soul with your positive energy.

Hello friends!
I have been gone for so long I am literally reading the instructions on how to format a post... I should be ashamed. But, I have had my work cut out for me the past couple years; I guess you could say I've kind of "checked out" of a lot of things and places. Right now, unfortunately, I am in the middle of a divorce. Though I am happy to say we are still friends. I have a small group of military veteran buddies that I visit in a scheduled support group every Wednesday morning that really keep me hanging in there through everything.
I don't even remember the last time I posted here. As soon as I post this, I'll have to go check it out.. You guys have been in my thoughts even though I have not been here (or twitter, really).{br]
Anyway, I thought now was as good of time as any to log in here and check in seeing that the new album just came out and a new tour is at our doors (probably not in Boise, though). I have got to be honest, I have not even listened to UM all the way through yet. I CAN NOT make it past the title track. I LOVE that song!! Some day I will wear it out and will move along, I suppose, but, for now, that is really all I am listening to.
EDIT- I've been gone for 7 months. Still a long time, but I thought I was gone for 2 years!! Time... flies?
Ian

I'm listening Joe's music a lot thanks to the new album, discovering and rediscovering things at every moment. I relly like this feeling. Unstoppable momentum's deepness makes me think and sends vibrations making echo with what i feel deep in my heart. I also listened to Black swans and worhole wiz' a lot and I rediscovered it: actually this album is now one of my favorite.
Live in Montreal is an absolute masterpiece and my new listens improved in a very positive way the sensations i had first. The end of the show (and especially Why and Wind in the trees) just blows me away.

Just wanted to say how much I'm enjoying the new album. It's different than prior work but no less enjoyable.
I think right off the bat my 2 faves were Can't Go Back and Lies and Truths.
Regarding Lies and Truths, I was listening to it the first time and thought "woah, Massimo Izzizzari." There are quite a few similarities with The Alchemist (fantastic track btw off another great album).
I am enjoying the almost constant upbeat nature of it, definitely makes me feel good and plays well when working.
Can't wait to check out the set @ the D.C. show (though that's a ways off). Anyways, thanks for yet another superb album and stay young.

OMG Northwest peeps, new shows up on the road page and....
JOE IS COMING TO SALEM, OR!!!!!!
THAT might be a show I can swing despite many obstacles....can't recall him going to Salem since we first started following him.
My only downside is....the date of the show...is the one-year anniversary of the death of my dad. Don't know if I can make this work or not, or if I should. Makes me cry just to think about it...but I will contemplate it. Maybe I can take my wee mum with us on the trip. She wouldn't do the show, but might enjoy the trip. But what a day to have picked. Pre-sale Wednesday. We'll see.....

Bitchin, Salem is about 25-30 minutes from my house. I'm not missing this one, might make it a family night if we can swing the mula.
We are also trying to make the one in Scottsdale Az for my B-day on 9/1 while we take a detour to visit my mom-in-law in Phoenix.
As for the new release my thoughts.
After a 9 hour drive from Boise Id. area to McMinnville Or. with my MP3 player repeating the new release"UM" at a high volume level for those 9 hours straight I can't find a song that i don't like. The title track, Can't Go Back, Cairn, Dreamer,3 Sheets, Celebration, Summer, Jumpin's, LAT, TWOTW, are engraved in my brain.
Joe, thanks for continuing to share your musical talent and gift with us.
I think it was Tracy "Cheese101" who took the words from my mouth a couple days ago. Your music to me is more than just something i listen to, the places and feelings that each of your songs take me to is unexplainable and immeasurable. I'm eternally grateful to have first heard you back in 1989 in Southern Texas with my cousins. 20+ years later I'm still a Satchaholic and have shared it with my wife for the same amount of time.. I compare any new music that I listen to, to yours and I can't put them on the same shelf with your music. I'm certain I don't follow their music like I do yours. Thanks again Joe, hopeful that I'll see you in Oregon later this year.

So the album came today, too bad its the cheap paper case, not a plastic one. The T shirt is pretty cool, although its got a red tint, so Joe's skin looks red.
JOE! Still no Chicago show? Chicago is the 3rd biggest city in the US, there is no reason to skip it! Besides during the Chickenfoot tour, you said Chicago was your favorite show you played! What happened!?
It would be even better if you came to Wisconsin, but I don't mind driving to Chicago.
And why the hell does Texas get 4 shows but most states don't even get one?

Oh sigh, sigh, SIGH!! Still no cd in the mail a week after release date!! I'da esploded' by now if I dint have the digital download!! Thank gooness for nice peoples!!
My dear little mum says it doesn't matter the date of the show, that we can't change that my dad isn't here anymore, and that she wants to see us go. I offered to bring her with us, would love that! She's thinking about it...told her I could get her a ticket and some heavy-duty earplugs, she laughed and said she'd think about it! Gotta love my wee mum!
Wouldn't that be something to get a 92 year old up boogie-ing by the stage Joe, LOL!!! Well...I'd hafta hold onto her so she didn't topple over, but she might just get up and dance a few jiggles, LOL! Plus the Willamette Valley in the fall is gorgeous, so maybe I'll be able to talk her into it :)
I would love to introduce Joe to my mum :D What a hoot that would be!!

Ol' Junebug at a Joe show. lol! That would be awesome! I think you'd need noise cancelling headphones and ear plugs for her. She could still feel the vibrations of the music. lol!
Austin, I still like those two songs the best, but there isn't a song I don't like on this cd.
Just got my cd and shirt in the mail today. Love the cover and insert art!
TurboIan, welcome back! Sorry to hear about your split, but glad you have a great group of friends for support!
Freddy, on the 3 hour drive home from PSU on Saturday I played UM. I looked over at the speedometer and saw the hubs was doing 90 mph! He was just having a grand old time listening to Joe. LOL! I had to tell him to drop it down to at least 85. lol! Good times man, good times!
GuitarMatt, paper is good! Plastic is bad.
I've been so busy I haven't had the energy to get on the puter much lately. Apologies to any replies I might have missed. I got a nasty cold too. Hi 5!
