My marathon running for 2013 is done, and I am already training for 2014 (with three marathons lined up already and more to follow). Here is how it went down this year.
1/19/13 - Charleston Marathon (Charleston, SC) - Placing: 3rd, Time of 2:46:21
2/24/13 - Maple Leaf Indoor Marathon (Goshen, IN) - Placing: 1st, Time of 2:50:10 (New Course Record)
3/24/13 - Greenway Marathon (Nashville, TN) - Placing: 1st, Time of 2:51:52
4/15/13 - 117th Boston Marathon (Boston, MA) - Placing: 448th, Time of 2:44:21
5/18/13 - Berryman Trail Marathon (Potosi, MO) - Placing: 2nd, Time of 3:25:12
6/8/13 - Hatfield-McCoy Marathon (South Williamson, KY & WV area) - Placing: 1st, Time of 2:50:59
7/14/13 - Grant-Pierce Indoor Marathon (Arlington, VA) - Placing: 2nd, Time of 2:52:07
8/17/13 - Sweltering Summer Six-Hour Ultramarathon Marathon (Pittsfield, MA) - Placing: 1st, Time of 2:53:23 (New Course Record)
8/31/13 - Marquette Marathon (Marquette, MI) - Placing: 6th, Time of 2:48:29
9/11/13 - Patriots' Run (Olathe, KS) - Placing: 1st, Time of 3:37:58
10/13/13 - On The Road For Education Marathon (Mason City, IA) - Placing: 1st, Time of 2:47:52
11/9/13 - Veterans Marathon (Columbia City, IN) - Placing: 2nd, Time of 2:52:53
The three lined up for 2014 are the Indoor Marathon, Boston, and GG9 (The Federation Games), which is held in Cleveland/Akron, OH. Hope to do well in them and the other marathons I might do.
I also have been accepted in the 2014 GU Energy Pro Program for my running, so that is an early Christmas gift for me. This is sort of like being an ambassador for promoting GU products; check them out everyone.
I also want to wish y'all Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa, Happy Boxing Day, Blessed Yule, and Happy New Year. I am looking forward to being with family and friends on Christmas and New Year's. Happy Holidays Joe and everyone, Love you all.
