Jayzus would ya look at that!! The box set is nice and fancy, but the BOOK! That's what I'm talkin' about! The Man, the Myth, the Legend! lol! This is exciting!
jsbd, dude...that temp's not fit for man nor beast! They closed schools here when it was 0 f the other week. They've had so many snow days already it's redick. We never had a day off because it was to cold! lol! I remember walking to school, which was at the top of a hill (of course) in freezing rain. Everything was a sheet of ice! We had to hold onto porch railings and pull our way up. Any car that was silly enough to turn down the hill would literally have no control and just bounce off of parked cars until it would eventually stop. I shit you not! lol! There was no cancelling school back in the day. We were tough city kids! Now they close school when it gets to cold ferfuxsake. lol! Now, that being said, you sir, need to move west. lol!

Very cool news about the biography and the box set. I hope we get a track listing for the bonus disc before preorders start, though the collector in me will buy the set either way. The bonus stuff would be something more to talk about, though. ;-)
I'm glad most people will finally get to hear the Additional Creations tracks...the techno version of Until We Say Goodbye from that is one of my favorite Satch songs.

For the first time all of Joe's albums will be compiled in the new "Joe Satriani: The Complete Studio Recordings", a 15 CD library box set due out April 22! All recordings are brand-new digital masters, overseen by Joe.
But still no 'naked tracks' like SV did

G'day Joe & Friends,
what an up n down ride I've had the last month,
the very low of my father passing and the high, writing new songs with my old friend from my former band "Soulhaven"
here in Australia, hopefully putting an ep out later this year..
we haven't been together for 14 years, and this will be album number 2!!
I find it strange how you can have no music ie playing for many years , then all of a sudden back into it..
very very strange... I miss my dad so much !
will be getting Joes box set... and will the biography be available on ipad to buy/read ?
as I said things have been so up n down...
part of life I guess

Satriani is extending his decades-long relationship with Sony Music, signing a new multi-album deal with Legacy for future recordings.
Sounds damn good no sign of slowing down for the Satchmeister :)
On a more somber note 2 years ago today since we lost our little man of the family Toby Alan Anderson sure don't know what ya got till it's gone that's for sure.

Whoaaaaaaa, haven't been here in a while. Just recently found out that Joe is remastering all of his albums which is totally awesome, but it kinda bums me out that I was one CD away from completing Joe's discography (Additional Creations not included). I still haven't come around to buying Strange Beautiful Music, which would complete the set. I even got Joe's self-titled album from a guy on eBay who had it since it's release but never listened to it and was still in mint condition. I'm seriously considering buying the whole package, but 210 dollars is hard to swallow. The Chrome Dome usb thing is pretty cool but might be a tad excessive if the box set is remastered as well. But I'm super psyched to hear a remastered Crystal Planet. Crank up Ceremony, roll the windows down, and cruise down the highway. Hell yeah!!!
