maritime - so sorry to read your post, so that' s where you've been! How frightening for you and your family, but modern medicine (and some alternative ones) will stand you in good stead for a good recovery I hope.
Take care, I am sure playing guitar is good for the heart and the recovery if you can manage it - I love your Axecution track so maybe you can come up with some more whilst you focus on your rehab.

No idea al, they're interchangeable imo just like Starsky & Hutch. Who cared what their names were. lol! It's what they did with the car. lol!
Jayzus, now they're testing kids books for lead. They're making it mandatory to test kids books made after 1985. Who the hell can afford that? Just make kids wear a seat belt and helmet when they read them and everything will be a-okay. Geez man, if kids wouldn't eat so many books we wouldn't have this problem. What I want to know is... if lead is supposed to make kids IQ drop, how smart would kids who are reading all the books be if they didn't read those books and be exposed to lead? And what about the kids who never read? Are they just eating the pages and getting stupider? Is stupider even a word? I would know that if I wouldn't have eaten those books I shouldn't have read.

scubadaz:There is a way t overcome that sustain prob on a strat.Buy a bowling ball and have a luthier cut the material & fit where the wood would be for a locking trem, the sustain is unbelievable & keeps the strat tone!
mama M:The government doesnt want people clever enough of critical thinking, they want a dumb society, makes it more managable, sure why not blame it on books ffs makes them look better, pretty soon all y,ll need t get into university is a fuckin pencil

Al--Yeah, that's the tea place I was talkin' about. Come on, man, I mean ya no harm. History has it that FDR said, "We have nothing to fear but fear itself." I guess it was easy enough for him to say. I'm sure he had his own fears to overcome. The UK PM just talked with the entire US Congress today about our shared friendship--I hope that means something hopeful to you. He even gave an honorary knighthood to Senator Edward Kennedy--an Irish American! I try to keep lookin' up like Joe S said in his song, "Just Look Up"!
Michelle--You have an open invitation to Cali and SF Bay Area anytime. Jus lemme know when.
Tracie--This summer is soonest time I can get over your way. I'm lookin forward to crossing the border into the northern part of this big country of ours. The Mr. and I will need our passports to cross into Canada or we won't be allowed back into the states as crazy as that sounds. Silly sods of 9-11 that created stupid "shoot ourselves in the foot attitude" rules. How did stupidity and nonsense become the master of ceremonies after 9-11?
LOVE RULES--Hugs to all me friends!

slan, but pencils are made outta....LEAD!!!
aaaahhhhhh!!!
Maybe we should revert back to quills, but then they'll hafta make sure the ink is safe...
It wouldn't have anything to do with buying everything overseas where they don't have the same or any restrictions on wtf they put in their products. Wonder if Einstein ever chewed on his little toy train painted in China? When ya buy shit from a place that makes baby formula that kills babies, and animal food that kills dogs and cats, yer just tryin to thin out the herd ffs.

Yknow, it's absolutely no wonder Joe cannot respond as much as he used to here.
If I forget to look at the site every day, then I have to wade through several pages of idle chat about other artists, heaps of jokes, peoples problems, updates on disasters around the world and the occassional question to Joe.
So if Joe only gets a chance to drop by once a month or so, then he's faced with a bazzillion new posts that don't actually have much to do with him. I think after the first page or 2 he gets the impression noone wants to talk to him, skips to the last page and writes a one-liner to say he dropped by or an update on tours/albums/events.
I'm not complaining about the discussions we have, this is what the general population want to do here. But we cannot complain if we've turned this into something that makes it harder for Joe to interact with us.
Strictly speaking, we'd get a lot more interaction with Joe if we split questions and interaction with Joe into this forum (what it was built for) and moved all non direct Joe discussion to another forum.
Again, not complaining, and if it stays this way, we just have to realise it's unlikely Joe will respond to anyone here because he'd have to have the patience of a saint and a lot of time to filter out all the noise and find a question or thread to get engaged with.
Just a thought,
Roo

Just to clarify, I agree completely.
I didn't say I wasn't getting sucked into the same behaviour and I certainly was not throwing stones.
I was just pointing out we cannot complain that Joe barely says hi if we make it hard for him to want to be involved in his own forum.

Maybe a solution for the webmaster is, leave this forum as it has become, it's obviously what people want to talk about here, all as part of Joe's worldwide fan club and friends.
But how about making things easier for Joe? Let's create a SECOND forum that is moderated for conversation with Joe. Pick a few moderators from the group here, there are plenty of people who would give their left leg to have the honor.
Then, Joe can check through a filtered set of things worth responding to and be more involved without the overhead, and can still poke his head in here if he feels inclined.
I just get the impression it may be bugging him that it's too hard to get enough time to respond to anyone here due to the noise, and if I know him, it's probably something that disappoints him.
Just a thought. Like I said, I'm certainly not trying to say this forum use is wrong, it's what the forum IS, so let's go with it. I certainly have been, which was pointed out to me a few posts ago. But let's consider helping Joe out with an easier option that enables us to stay in contact with him more easily as well.
