Glitz Man..Hello..And good talking to you...Yes I am a farmer, things are starting to get busy.(16-18 hour days ahead)

Austin,..Being a Sammy fan and a Joe fan, What do you thing of this idea?...You KNOW Joe has words to most of his songs, if not nearly all of them. How cool would it be for Sammy to sing over some of Joe's classics?..How about Summer Song with lyrics?... Now that would be a twist on an old classic that even Al could get into. I mean with all those melodies, he has to have written words at least in his mind....Up In Flames with Sammy singing,..I mean listen to the melody...Sounds a lot like Sammy's melodies...The possibilities are endless.

Roo...I ordered an upgrade for my Digitech GSP 2101 fro Gemany,.. I;ll tell you if it cures the lag... If so your $ would be better spent on an upgraded or a later mode rather than buying a stand alone pedall. You can pick up one on EBAY for about 250-300 American dollars.(with foot controller)-although I hear the Johnson control pedal works better.

Roo..

GSP 2101 on EBAY

I'll let you know if the upgrades cure the lag on the Whammy. This thing has loads of effects with the capability of modifying the parameters and storing to a preset. It has a few really cool steel guitar presets to be used with the pedal as well as others. Did you experience any lag with the stand alone Whammy?

scubadaz - About Joe's setlists...I really don't want to sound like I'm complaining, but the way things have been structured since about the EOC tour means that new songs only get played for about one "An Evening With..." tour before they're dropped. And sometimes things get dropped (The Traveler, If I Could Fly, Out Of The Sunrise) before the end of the tour and people in some markets miss out completely.

For someone like Joe who has never won a Grammy and doesn't have widespread commercial appeal, I do find it a bit odd that his setlists are as static as they are. I could make an awesome setlist full of songs since 2000 that Joe has never played. I think it's unfortunate that he probably never will. Maybe I'll be surprised someday...

hybes - I got into EJ before Joe as well...I didn't know you did the same.

And yes, he does have a new album coming out...he said so when I saw him in Redondo Beach back in January. I got the setlist from that show, and three new songs were on it. They were Face To Face (unless this is a cover, but I don't recognize the title), Sad Legacy, and Vortexan. He didn't play Sad Legacy, even though it was on the list.

I saw him back in January 2005, before Bloom was released, and he played some music then that didn't make that album. One of those songs was a pop vocal song called Imagination, which I remember as being very fun. Maybe that one will make the new album...

Blue_Moon - I think Satch Boogie is inevatible, and I've kinda come to accept that. I think the best I can hope for is that if we get a second song it'll be something different.

I like Summer Song on the CD but I'm a bit tired of it now. I loved the ITLIS? tour because it took a break for a while.

burly - Hmmm...I wouldn't want to hear lyrics over Joe's instrumental stuff (with the exception of Up In Flames, because it already has a Sammy connection). But something I'd LOVE to hear would be Sammy singing one of Joe's vocal tunes.

What about Sammy singing Can't Slow Down or Ride, and having that segue into I Can't Drive 55? That's the kind of cool stuff I want from Chickenfoot. I really hope they try new things...

...Austin...

Also Roo..This is a real tube Pre-Amp processor...Ive got mine kicking an older Peavey Stereo head into a 4X 12 stereo Crate with Celestions. I mean if you can pick up one of these for the price of a single pedal,..I think it's worth it.

Skippy..This thing would be an excellent set to learn on as well as when you become more advanced. You don't need an amp,..you can even use it with headphones.

Glitz Man: What advice would u give to a recreational runner, particularly breathing techniques for short races? There is a 2K race at work, everytime I've run it I feel that my legs are strong and could run faster but my lungs feel like they will explode! I have never been able to finish in less than 8:30 minutes, the winners usually do 7 minutes or less. Training for 2 months before the race hasn't helped much either.

Do the Stu - Yes, I actually got hooked on EJ when I first heard Zap off the Tones album. I wore that tape out several times over. I think it was in 87, maybe late 86. That was a great few years for instrumental albums. Surfing came out after that, then Ah Via Musicom. In fact as much as I liked Surfing I was a bigger fan of EJ. Flying in a blue dream was really growing on me, but Ah Via came out too quickly and that one was awesome. The Extremist really turned the corner for me personally. That and Surfing with some really good cuts from Flying, just too much greatness from Joe. Then EJ just kind of disappeared, so it was an easy choice from then on.

GottahaveJoe: Hey Girl! I had a hard time and was in the hospital twice during chritmas and in january. I'm much better now but not all healed up just yet. Good to see you here. All T2Jers having a hard time in life: Hang in there you guys! Prayers for all of you and to all who need them. Glitzman: Check out that Rusty Cooley link I put on a while back. Awsome.. Chicken foot ....yea baby! JOE: I'm still having a hard time with my health but i do have an appointment with a Nutritionalist this next week. Maybe that'll fill in some gaps on my care. I can take some time to rebuild some speakers and my stereo so'os I'm much more portable now. I have been working on a "Weird Al version" of your song "Crazy." I'm not making fun of ya, just havin' fun with the song. I'll let you hear it first, besides Steven Wilde of course. He still helps me produce/record every thing. Once it's just right.........

Hey Glitzy - good luck with the race!! Guitar is coming along very slowly due to our house project finishing and having to miss some practice to get house things sorted. Been unpacking boxes every night this week but I set a goal and knew I would have distractions like all Mums so I have to fight off stuff and ignore some chores and sit down with the guitar.

I was surprised to find last night (about 11pm) when I started practicing after feeling super shagged I played the G scale really well (for me) without even warming up with my normal exercises (all the chords, switching chords, 1st to 4th strings notes, barre chords - aarrgghhh, same 4 basic strumming songs, same 4 picking songs, blah blah) my brain seemed to lock in which string to hit at the right time with the left hand. Weird......

burly - I have no idea about the electronics associated with sound - I just have the old Tele plugged into the $3.80 Woodtock amp _ don't even know what I'm supposed to do with "treble" and the other one, just the volume :0). If someone can send me a design chart of which device to plug into which thing, and the settings to use, I'll find someone to set it up for me haha.

Did you see maritime's vid of some guy making 500 settings on a panel of some sort, just to play The Extremist?????

A nursery school teacher was delivering a station wagon full of kids home one day when a fire truck zoomed past.

Sitting in the front seat of the truck was a Dalmatian dog.

The children started discussing the dog's duties..

'They use him to keep crowds back,' said one child.

'No,' said another, 'He's just for good luck .'

A third child brought the argument to a close.

'They use the dogs,' she said firmly, 'to find the fire hydrants!'

Wine or Water

To my friends who enjoy a glass of wine.. . and those who don't.

As Ben Franklin said: In wine there is wisdom,

in beer there is freedom,

in water there is bacteria.

In a number of carefully controlled trials, scientists have demonstrated that if we drink 1 litre of water each day, at he end of the year we would have absorbed more than 1 kilo of Escherichia coli , (E coli) - bacteria found in feces. In other words, we are consuming 1 kilo of poop.

However, we do NOT run that risk when drinking wine & eer(or tequila, rum, whiskey or other liquor) because> alcohol has to go through a purification process of boiling, filtering and/or fermenting.

Remember:

Water = Poop,

Wine = Health

Therefore, it's better to drink wine and talk stupid, than to drink water and be full of sh*t.

There is no need to thank me for this valuable information: I'm doing it as a public service
