SCUBADAZ, DO THE STU- Rush tribute gig was surprisingly good, a lot better than i was expecting. Standout tracks were opener Tom Sawyer, YYZ, Xanadu, Closer to the heart, New world man and a very passable Spirit of radio. Lead Guitarist was very impressive, and he coped fine with some of the more complex playing, vocalist was quite good too, and we were even treated to a wee drum solo. I normally would'nt give a tribute band house room, so the best thing i can say about Sawyer is i'd pay to go and see them the next time they play.

heres an idea for a song i made and recorded in less than 4 minutes just there, ignore the simpleness/roughness/quickness but its gona be a good un
linky
actually reminds me of asik vaysel to much, first same key, then again everythings in E lately :) scrap that... i go to a instead of A instead of D and a few Gadd9's... no C#'s for me though, i keep it trusty old simple minor instead of dorian, f it

Hey!!!
Today I have been playing live for the second time in my life (I played with the school band). I REALLY love it!
I played in front of two schools (My own and another one) on a large stage. Probably 75x15 feet big, and 3 feet high.
We played a set with 5 songs. Really cool songs, but no Satch :( They dont wanna play instrumental music :(.
I have finally found the song from the backingtrack i used to my song called "16 Years" xD.
I think its a really rare unreleased song from Satch. Nvm. Here it is
Thats all from me! Cya all! Have a good time everyone!
Sincerely Mark Railton

But, if that's Al's favourite drop, then i'm afraid he'll be drinkin' alone. Personally, I'm a Jack Daniels man myself.Straight from the bottle!!!

i think i jsut overdosed on smoothies, and whoever asked yeah my rooms usualy quite clean, im rather anal about it
just for you london, it seems to never get old with ya :)
and yeah its easy enough to delete the cookies, i had some firefox problems had to go into the directory and manually delete a cookie file, hassle but done, so thats why i was quick to tell u how to fix ur prob
and that clip thing was just a podxt, im pretty sure i have it as a 57 off axis 30% room, some verb and a tubescreamer maxed out on a marshall plexi 4x12
something along those lines give me that sounnd slight chorus in there too

Alan,
Just sent that audio clip to my friends in Coldplay to see if they need some new material,...a little too heavy for them...just kidding, I have no friends in Coldplay...but it sounds really good. So you went directly from the pod to the Audacity program? or did you run it through an amp modeling software? Please describe your chain mate.
Skippy- I jumped out early today but thanks for the long distance wake up call.
Cosmic Ape- Do you know if it is possible to order a MAC loaded with Pro Tools? I did find a used one on ebay already loaded but I really want the latest. Slansh says it's best if someone configures it for you. I don't know of any retailers near me who even know anything about Pro Tools. I am thinking of driving out to Nashville to visit some of the music stores. I am sure I can find someone there. I am going to consider what Alan has used, it sounds pretty good to me especially for entry level.

Guitar > podxt > computer mic input > cool edit pro, thats all, easy n simple for just makin a quick simple thing
if u get a mac most people will recomend logic over pro tools, steeper learning curve but its beter than pro tools, i dont have to much personal apearence, but most people in the know would prob recomend logic over PT, i like PT well im on pc so ive no choice, but i for me i can bring my home sessions into any studio, but then again u can do that in logic, once u have the stems, bah go for what ye want!
i like dings, and boobsweat is a great word, once it involves females :|
