Whoa, Joe's actually on here!:D
Joe, do you know if the chrome boy's are still in production? And one question, what's your favourite mode! Of course, depends on the mood you're in, and the specific feel of the mode, but do you have a favourite?
Good luck on tour!

Skippy- Satellite radio is very easy to access just about anywhere in the U.S for around $10.00 / month ( plus a small extra equipment investment) Wireless internet is available as well but with spotty coverage in some areas where cell phone service is present. There are a few "dead" spots in remote areas where tower coverage is inadequate. With cell phones or internet where I farm, I can usually get a signal on the tractor but in some fields I will need to stop to continue a call. You may have coverage on one end of the field but maybe not on the other end or in the middle.
Austin-It seems that Spirit of Radio
has been tainted by commercialism and greed. I can remember as a small boy, my grandfather's farm trucks had A.M. radios and once in a while at night I could pick up WLS in Chicago. I think it was in 1978 I got my hands on an F.M. converter and thought I was in heaven.I discovered Rock 103 in Memphis..Wow. That is where Red Beard got his start. On A.M rock was just not available here. and it is difficult in times like this to find a station format that suits my taste. I guess I need to go back and remember the old A.M. days and be thankful for what I have.
Check out the Live Tracks on the Red Beard link, a live performance of Ceremony..Cool

Also Styx fan or not,..check out the rare live version of Crystal Ball performed in the Rock 103 studio before a concert with a verse that didn't make the album. This is not the full version but I know it has to be out there somewhere.

Today its queensday here, and I was watching, just now. The queen and family were in a bus, doing drive trough city, and from another camera, somewhere else, there was a car that just RAN into the people mass high speed and against the monument:X People being re-animated, kids on the ground, 14 hurt probably dead people. What the..... that's not cool. I bet youll see it on CNN or somewhere else. He was probably heading for the bus with the queen and family in it.

Hi Pip....
Stop Squashing me!!!! LOL
Hi JOE ....good to see you are fitting in some fun amongst your hard work!
Michelle - glad to hear your hubbys job is safe...my nearly ex hubby lost his job in February....
Do the Stu - Your Music and me folder is looking good...I think the longer hair suits you...looking far to prim and proper before the joe interview...lol...you look more relaxed with life now.
Buddy and his wife Edna went to the state fair every year,
And every year Buddy would say,
'Edna,I'd like to ride in that airplane '
Edna always replied,
'I know Buddy, but that airplane ride is fifty bucks,
And fifty bucks is fifty bucks'
One year Buddy and Edna went to the fair, and Buddy said,
'Edna, I'm 85 years old.
If I don't ride that airplane , I might never get another chance'
To this, Edna replied,
"Buddy that airplane ride is fifty bucks, and fifty bucks is fifty bucks'
The pilot overheard the couple and said,
'Folks I'll make you a deal. I'll take the both of you for a ride.
If you can stay quiet for the entire ride and don't say a word I won't charge you a penny!
But if you say one word it's fifty dollars.'
Buddy and Edna agreed and up they went.
The pilot did all kinds of fancy maneuvers, but not a word was heard.
He did his daredevil tricks over and over again,
But still not a word.
When they landed, the pilot turned to Buddy and said,
'By golly, I did everything I could to get you to yell out, but you didn't.
I'm impressed!'
Buddy replied,
'Well, to tell you the truth,
I almost said something when Edna fell out,
But you know,
"Fifty bucks is fifty bucks!'
Hugs Satriella xx
Oh I forgot the good news....

How about we TRY to get Otis or Zen Master (THE Mike Manning) every now and again to tell us what’s up? NO ONE knows the ins and outs of Joes gear like him…. Maybe tell us how Joe’s guitar is set up and all that stuff…. I know there are postings on the internet BUT are they true? Or just say leave me alone I’m trying to work when he’s setting up or breaking down….. Wouldn’t you like to know from THE MAN himself…. Maybe he can tell us how many times he hears “CAN I HAVE A PICK”?
Just a thought

Shocking video
38 year old man, driving deliberately through the crowd full speed to hit the royal bus. Motives still unknown.
I'd want to kill that sick bastard myself. What a terrible day. Innocent people, old and young, on a day out slaughtered. Makes you want to cry.

Mahbaei - Hi...welcome to the site. If you want to increase your finger speed, practicing at a higher tempo each day isn't the right way to look at it. You'll probably hit a wall around 120 or 140 BPM. Plan on making shorter BPM jumps, but focus on playing without making mistakes.
I saw something in a Stu Hamm bass video a while ago...when he practices his tapping lines on bass, he works on speed and accuracy by playing things both faster and slower. So maybe he'll start at 80 BPM and play something five times, then go up to 90 and play it five times, then down to 70 for five, and up to 100, and down to 60, and so on.
So maybe set up an exercise like that, that'll take you 20 or 30 minutes to get all the way through. If that's a part of your regular practicing, after a few days you'll find you can stretch out the BPMs at the ends and get better.
burly - Ceremony sounds awesome...thanks for sharing. :-)
Satriella - My hair is a bit shorter now (although still long)...I need to grow it out again. I have a few other photos I need to add to that folder...I have a photo with Ann Marie Calhoun from Steve Vai's band, and others with most of the rest of Lacuna Coil. And then there are the pics with Satch and band from this latest tour. ;-)
SuperSwingDog - I last talked to MegaBoyd last summer...we sent a few messages back and forth when we found out Stu was back in Joe's band.
He had left the SF area and was living in Colorado on a church mission trip. I'm not sure if he's still out there. I'll send him another email soon and try to talk him into stopping by here.
Igneousiceman - I actually only have a greatest hits album from Tom Petty, but I like his stuff a lot. I'd love to see him live some day.
Jim Ladd, the DJ I mentioned in my previous post, plays a lot of deep cuts from throughout Tom Petty's career...especially Traveling Wilburys stuff. So I've heard quite a bit. He's definitely on my list, when time and money allows. ;-)
Listening to: Eric Johnson - Ah Via Musicom (current song: Nothing Can Keep Me From You)
...Austin...
