Austin- Glad you enjoyed the show. Sammy is quite the performer.
Skip- We typically begin harvest in mid September. If it doesn't stop raining here we may have a short harvest. Most are about 40-50% planted here. Just can't get in the fields. Waken by a passing thunderstorm this morning.

Austin- great update thanks. What were you wearing and where were you standing etc so I can try and pick you in any vids on YT.... I would have jumped if I saw Mike Manning as well but hey sounds like a good show. Gee you get around a fair bit, ah to be single and mobile again, just jump on a plane and go see a band :0)
edit : OK here's Three Lock Box but it's too wobbly to see anybody.
burly - sorry you were woken early, had the newspaper at least arrived so you had somethin to read?
Bit excited the upstairs study at our house will be carpeted this weekend and then the in-built desk and shelves etc and then I can set it up as a guitar practice space and get a pooter that I don't have to share with the kids and yada yada.

Hello Joe..
This weekend I bought the Satchurator..
I'm happy to say that the pedal is all that I expected.. from crunchy sound to solo. It works well with the volume control on the guitar without loosing dynamics.. great.. great..
On Youtube I posted a song made with the pedal..
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5UyfX-5q41A
the time machine is great to btw.. waiting for the next pedal.
Greetings from Holland..
Pieter

Joe, You keep me movin! Hey, on the subject of modes, I have tried a dozen ways to learn the patterns but since they are just patterns and really kind of dry and mechanical they don't stick. Do I just have to keep trying to memorize them or
is there a better way to learn them so I can use them?
What's your favorite material for learning them i.e, suggested book and/or DVD's etc.
Thanks!!

hey...this is worth a lil look...its 16 guitarists pulling funny faces and Joe is one of them...although the write up/funny comment doesn't mention his face...can only wonder at the marvels of his fingers!

what is happening with the coldplay thing now? This court hearing was the 7th April
Coldplay deny copying music in federal court Coldplay have gone to court to discount claims that they copied the music for their song 'Viva La Vida'.
The band denied claims by Joe Satriani that they used his music for the track, which appeared on their most recent album of the same name.
The case was filed in a Los Angeles court yesterday, and the band's attorneys said that Satriani's song "lack's originality" and the similarities between their song and Satriani's 'If I Could Fly' are not enough to pay Satriani damages.
Satriani is saying they used "substantial, original portions" of his 2004 song, reports the Associated Press.
His lawyer Howard E King says the response by the band is commonplace in a copyright infringement case such as this one.
As Coldplay's Chris Martin told NME Radio last year, he insisted he did not copy Joe Satriani and suggested any similarities were purely a "coincidence".
why do things like this have to take so long....
My hubby said he wanted a divorce February last year...a year and a half later I get the first court hearing and I am £1,000 pounds poorer already!
Why am I sooooo hungry today....

Good Morning Satchland...... What up Peeps?
I like the way this guy thinks:
From the St. Petersburg Times
This is from an article in the St. Petersburg Times Newspaper on
Sunday. The Business Section asked readers for ideas on "How Would
You Fix the Economy?" I think this guy nailed it!
Dear Mr. President:
Please find below my suggestion for fixing America 's economy.
Instead of giving billions of dollars to companies that will
squander the money on lavish parties and unearned bonuses, use
the following plan. You can call it the Patriotic Retirement Plan:
There are about 40 million people over 50 in the work force..
Pay them $1 million apiece severance for early retirement with
the Following stipulations:
1) They MUST retire. Forty million job openings
- Unemployment fixed
2) They MUST buy a new American CAR. Forty million cars ordered
- Auto Industry fixed
3) They MUST either buy a house or pay off their mortgage
- Housing Crisis fixed.
It can't get any easier than that! If more money is needed, have
all members of Congress and their constituents pay their taxes...
Have A Great Day Everyone !!!!................

I had my identity stolen once as well.
Mr Beer, Mrs Wine and Mr Spirits attacked me over the course of an afternoon, evening and into the night. They eventually got the better of me and I ended up unconscious.
The next morning my identity was gone, I didn't have a clue who I was or where I was, only that every single part of me felt ill.
Must have been drinking from a wet glass!
