Castle49--Horrible feeling everytime I see and hear about fires in the hills, canyons and near tracks of homes. Once again my primitive fear of fire is ignited from when I was a wee girl.....using my mental fire fighters to keep the fear under control! I hope you are protected from fire.
Blue_Moon--Glad to hear yer in love, sweetie ;-);-);-);-);-)
Your welfare is my concern.....no burden are you to bear....we'll get there.......and I'm strong......The Hollies.....good times.....gotta visit Manchester (sigh!)..one day when I'm not paying doctor and hospital bills and a never ending mortgage!!!
Scubadaz--Thanks for the Manchester Rock Radio 106.1 interview with Joe....about 201/2 minutes into the interview did Joe say he didn't want his "ugly" face on the cover of the new CF album? ;-O
Joseph--I think you just say stuff like "ugly face" to describe yerself just to get a RISE out of yer fans!!! I respectfully disagree! Also, I have to disagree with yer assessment of your pre-2000 hairstyle. I know it was yer hair, but "frizzy"? Of course adoring fans are gonna see yer hair differently and may think of it as I do--curly silken headdressing from heaven.....What has come over me!!
What my Steve said recently about you was funny. He teasingly said that your rock star sunglasses are Ray Bans and said they were handed down from another famous rock star who wants to remain anonymous! I remember those crazy Ray Ban ads from the 1960s....what a blast from the past! I asserted that if you take the stage in SF at the Fillmore with shades on, that I would put a pair of shades on and wear them through the whole concert unless you take yours off! LOL! Wouldn't that be crazy?! I just want to see your beautiful eyes.......
I have often wondered if the whole audience would be wearing shades at your concerts......I guess I'll find out. All the best to you and all the guys in Chickenfoot! ;-)

New Buckethead CD called 'A real diamond in the rough' is really beautiful, subtile and mellow. Highly recommended to all who love guitars. Can't be purchased at many places but (unfortunate for Bucket) the torrent is all over the web. Or listen on Youtube

Cosmic- E Mixo much more comfortable now, not concentrating too much on touching base with the root note and just letting it flow sometimes into other modes, keeping the double stops to a minimum in my improv. I think the more I play it the more creative I can become with implementing the double stops.
It seemed to help me to switch to A major and work the same doubles in there until I was comfortable with using them. Then I moved back to E Mixo. Seems the double stops are helping me see the mirror images in other keys and is helping with memorization.
Oddly enough learning minor pentatonic first, I relate fret position to that scale to allow me to keep my place. I would think that most would relate fret position to Major scale.
Joe- I can't thank you enough for the GW Lesson on Modes video.
Hope everyone is well, and if not I wish you better. Good night.

Hi Burly!
Thank's for answering to my post! You did it in French! It's cool! :)

Do The Stu: I became a big fan of Joe during the last year and a half I would say! At HCAG (Harmony-Central-Acoustic-Guitar), someone recommended me to listen to him after I posted a short clip that I had recorded.
I listened to him on Youtube and loved his music instantly!
I have a lot of favorite songs from Joe but if I have to name just one, the first song that always comes to my mind when I think about Joe Satriani is Rubina.
I also listen a lot to:
-Searching
-Always with me, Always with you
-Midnight
-Circles
-Surfing With The Alien
... and more!
I'm addicted to his sound! (And I wouldn't mind getting his new pedal, the Vox JS Time Machine Delay and/or the Peavey Mini-Colossal! Since it doesn't hurt to dream, I really like the shape of his signature guitars and would take one too! So comfortable!!)
I hope I'm going to see him live SOON!!!
Cheers!
