So me and my wife were at Best Buy today and what do I hear cranking over the store soundsystem? Oh Yeah!! I was smacking my wife, like listen to that...it's Chickenfoot! She said I know...you make me watch the new video everyday. She's a good woman. Not into rock, but she humors me.

Just thought it was cool I heard it blasting there. It sounded great on their sound system.

Day 8 of the Foot is up - these little shows are so cool, I love the way Mikey is so economical with his pieces to camera - he just loves each song but can't explain why really, then Joe gives you a detailed description of how the whole guitar part and song came together, Sammy booms at you about the story behind the song and Chad is, well, just Chad.

Great work Jon Luini.

It's a bit boring now the tour's finished. Over to you guys in Europe I guess.

OK whilst there is a short lull, peeps have probably seen this guy before but I thought it was amazing how he uses all these pedals, in this vid maybe all he needs is to add guitar. Check it out.

burly - morning!

Evening Skippy great vid. He's a talented fellow. Saw a package for a group tour to OZ for January. Didn't see the price but it looked like a good trip, (2 weeks) Sydney, Melbourne, Cairns, the barrier reef and lots more. The economy needs to straighten up a bit before they have a good amount of takers on this I would imagine.

Can't wait till The Foot returns to the states to tend to the masses who could not see one of the club shows. I can't wait till Friday. Clear this up for me. The album will be in ALL stores Friday?

Pip- Juan had a good start yesterday, started up front, ran well for a while but ended up finishing 30th. I don't really know what happened as I recorded the race to DVR and had to work yesterday so @ 9:30 PM after the shower and late dinner I watched a sped up version. By the time I was finished, I could not hold my eyes open and was dropping the remote while scanning. I hate to be that sleepy and try to watch TV.

Was able to sneak away to the jam Saturday night. It was OK, had some fun. Will give the guys a list of songs I want to do next time and maybe have a vid. They have an excellent sound system but the guy worked all day on the stage and did not get the snake and board set up as well as the monitors, so all I could hear was the bass players amp who was right next to me. I left my wireless AC adapter at home or I would have gone out in front for a good listen. The only thing running through the PA was the vocals. But it looks to be promising as for future jams and maybe a show later.

Gotta go folks. You all have a great week.

Bon dia Roy - what sort of pedals is he using and can you do that with a guitar?? I just love what he's done, you can dance to it alrite

burly - that's a long trip for 2 weeks - you need 6 weeks at least :0). If you get a bumper crop definitely take it up though and if Chickenfoot come out in Jan/Feb we can catch up. The Great Barrier Reef is amazing if you go to the right spots.

Good on you for jammin with your mates, what was on your list that you sent to them, I'm just being a sticky-nose. You must make a vid you know.

yeap, great overdub vid peeps. The guy is brillant.

Skippy : if you like overdub & sample thing, check jamaican DJs dub people. They are a deep roots of these technics, before rap & techno. Rock prog people also used to work with loops & samples since long time. Currently, Bjork composes a lot via sample.. she's great.

If you want, check Centaurus onto my soundclick page. All this song is realized with the RC-20.

Slan : just get the RC-20. & yeap, i use it consistently on studio. But it's too limited for live. The RC-50 is the shit for stage.

Scuba:No need t get paranoid, if you were reading my posts b4 you would get it; i am refering to people that have little or no imagination or cant be bothered putting in the hard pioneer work themself to deliver something fresh like the guy in the vid Skippy sent did.I,m talking about dreamstealers, people who steal ideas then run around mouthing t the planet they thought it up.At best these people are clones like dolly the sheep....meee meee

The point i,m making is it wont be 2 long till you see this kind of beatbox stuff on every street corner...by which time mr original beatbox guy will either be huge or just another face in the dole cue

Do The Stu - been busy lately, but here's a reply to your post a few days ago. ;) I don't think I ever got around to posting my Youtube videos from The Roxy on here, so here they are. Overall I'm incredibly pleased with how they turned out. Especially since I wasn't really paying attention to how the shots were framed. I was just holding the camera down in front of me and concentrating on ENJOYING THE SHOW.

Avenida Revolution
Soap On A Rope (ending only)
Sexy Little Thing
Get It Up
Runnin' Out
Down The Drain
My Kinda Girl
Learning To Fall
Turnin' Left
Future In The Past (my battery ran out during this one)
Bad Motor Scooter
Highway Star

Anyone have any details on the signing at Best Buy this Friday? I was thinking of calling the store in the next few days. I'm particularly wondering if they'll have the vinyl version of the album for sale in the store so people could just buy it that day and get it signed. I did see that my local Best Buy had an aisle with a few vinyl records in it this weekend (I remember seeing Metallica's Death Magnetic, plus a few others). Never saw that in a BB before, so maybe they'll have Chickenfoot on Friday.

Some lucky bastards at vhlinks.com said they already have the album... it seems that some Best Buy stores accidentally put it out early! Mine had some advertising materials up, but no album on the shelves.

Joe... i was wondering if u have any sugestions for helping me to figure out if i should either replace the pickups in my guitar which i have been playing for the past 3-4 years or should i buy a new guitar? its hard for me to part with my guitar because i love the perfect size of the neck and if i had to replace it i would only replace it with an Ibanez. im asking this because i need to know exactly what should i do before i invest my whole summer counting weekends working like 10 hour shifts, just to get that nice Ibanez JS series guitar.

Thx alot, your biggest fan from Ottawa,Canada

No set-up surprises in that video for us though...

Which pickups were in the JS2 Chromeboy in the days of Live in San Francisco? Do I remember correctly there were days of (crhome) Air Norton and Tone Zone? (After the prototype with Seymour Pearly and before Fred, PAF and Mo Joe).

new member here! Hi all!

I have these Joe Satriani albums: One Big Rush: The Genius of Joe Satriani, -self titled-(Joe Satriani), Strange Beautiful Music, Not of This Earth, The Extremist - a really great album. Engines of Creation - didnt care for this one too much.

I also like Vai, Carlos Santana, Hendrix, SRV, Led Zep, Black Sabbath, Metallica, Megadeth, VH, and strangely enough Spanish Flamenco guitars.
