I'm pretty psyched about chickenfoot, I can't wait untill they're in holland!!!!!! I listened to the demo's and I liked it pretty much. It has some sort of weird mix, of old rock music and new rock music. Mr Satriani you inspired me to play the guitar (I'm 15). My mom died more then 2 years ago, I was listening to a lot of your music. Especially your first two albums and I thought:"Hey I want to play the guitar like Joe Satriani". On my 13th birthday I began with my dream to make beautifull music. I'm currently working on something with my guitar teacher. Each time when I play it, I feel relaxed. Making music is the best thing in life after love and friends of course!

So, after watching the My Kinda Girl podcast, does anyone else hear Def Leppard's Die Hard The Hunter in the first few notes from Joe in the MKG intro? Haha... ;-)
Igneousiceman - Sex & Religion is probably the Vai album I listen to least (the last time was 9/7/07, according to my iTunes). And when I mentioned Touching Tongues earlier, I was actually only listening to that song...not the album as a whole. I put it on now, though.
Listening again I think I like it quite a bit. It's different, that's for sure. I hear a lot of Zappa...not quite as much as the Flex-Able records, but more than anything else in his catalog.
Thanks for making me want to listen again. ;-)
powersolojacob - Welcome to the site! It's always cool to find new fans here. Tell us a bit about yourself...
JS_JS - Hi...it's good to see you here again. Kayla is still around, but not as often. She just posted the other day, and has the same user name (gotta have Joe).
burly - The Chickenfoot album will only be available in Best Buy stores in the US, but you might be able to find it from other retailers online.
Certain indie record stores might carry copies they've purchased new from Best Buy. I expect Amoeba Music in California to do so...it's what they've done with GNR's Chinese Democracy, which was also an exclusive to Best Buy.
satchblues - Thanks for the video links...I'll check them out over the next few days.
I was planning on calling Best Buy tomorrow or Wednesday to get some signing info from them. I don't know if they'll require us to pick up wristbands earlier in the day or what. I'll post any info here after I talk to them.
I expect them to have several hundred copies of both the CD and vinyl available for sale. I plan on buying both...I'll get the vinyl to be autographed (and to get the bonus track), and then I'll get the CD for everyday listening.
Guitarvibes - Thanks for the video link. I wonder if the pedal Mike hides (3:05-3:10) is a Vox prototype...?
Gomar - Welcome to the site! You have great musical tastes...you should fit right in here.
What are some of your favorite concerts you've seen? Have you been to any Satch gigs?
Blue_Moon - This one is for you, too.
Listening to: Steve Vai - Sex & Religion (current song: State Of Grace)

Yeah, Al, you're crazy. I remember one "brief" drive that included roadblocks and tons of police investigating something at like 1 a.m. Didn't it take us an hour to drive a few blocks?
I almost made you listen to U2's Boy then, too. :-)

"nternational
For now, Hulu is a U.S. service only. That said, our intention is to make Hulu's growing content lineup available worldwide. This requires clearing the rights for each show or film in each specific geography and will take time. We're encouraged by how many content providers have already been working along these lines so that their programs can be available over the Internet to a much larger, global audience. The Hulu team is committed to making great programming available across the globe."

Longtime nosee...
I just had to stop by to say....
ChicKenfoot is blowing my head off!!!
I've not been able to stop listening to it for days and days, this is seriously one of the best things to happen to rock in a long, long time. These boys are ALL at the top of their game & boy howdee does it show. They are tighter than a frog's ass (& that's pretty damn tight!) and having more fun than four barrels of monkeys. I've been telling the whole world about it too, even put a logo on the farebox in my bus on Saturday night.
I seriously have not been able to stop listening to this. Gazzoo (wifey) likes it too... a LOT, and that's always a good thing. Learning To Fall is one of the most beautiful ballads ever written, I used it for a slideshow for Mother's Day, what a perfect fit. Gazzoo cried... a lot. Heh...
Here it is if anyone wants to see it.
Feel free to leave a comment.
Anyways, I can't wait to get my copy in my hot little hand this F00tday, this is some of the best music I've heard in a long, long time. Rarely do 4 guys come together with such flawless chemistry and instantly gel to form what is truly a "supergroup" & not just another cliché.
Good to see you all (I see wolf is still at it, some things'll never change I suppose, huh?) and I'll try to not be a stranger.
smooches,
» Phy³

no worries though... nothing a couple of JCM stacks can't sort out.. lol...

That sucks...I have to drive to Memphis or Little Rock for best buy.
Skippy- These guys play anything from old country to 80s rock ie John Cougar "Hurts so Good"...I am going to try to spice them up a bit because they are quite capable.
My list:
One Way to Rock_ Hagar
Save A Horse_ Big n Rich...I know..that's so yesterday.
He Stopped Loving Her Today (only because they play it and I want to do the lead fills.)
Who's Your Daddy- Toby Keith
Ten Words- I think I can get them to play that one
That's a start. They don't like to play "Pride and Joy" @ normal speed and I can not and will not attempt to play the lead part or the main riff that fast. They like for people to dance but it just does not sound right that fast.
Going to play with my new double bass pedal, Good night all

Yes, the DMB concert is a live stream.
They've been playing mostly new stuff so far, as it's an album release show (US release date is tomorrow), but they should get into some older stuff later on.
