Austin-It looked like a Fulltone Mini-Deja Vibe to me.I like that pedal, but mine isn't working for some reason.

It looks odd to me that there isn't any Fulltone stuff in his current rig.I don't think I have seen an Ultimate octave-less Satriani rig since The Extremist or Time Machine days.

burly - Ten Words yeah!!! I should have it learnt by 2011 so then we can play it in sync!

Looks like a fun list - as long as you entertain the crowd (lots of dancability helps) and you enjoy it. I bet the family will get a thrill too huh?

So who is next on the Chickenfoot bus? BTW I haven't seen my fan pack yet, the ship must still be sailing from the US.

slan - hahaaa... awesome stuff.... toddlers are nuts ain't they... I remember finding rich tea's in the CD player and boxes of crayons in the VCR... lmao...

I've never messed with the Indian stuff.. done some Japanese though.. which is totally the opposite.. very minimalist..

yup.. I'm touring Italy again in the summer... I'll never tire of that... I love the place... July I think..

Loving the Mac Pro / Logic / BFD2..
it's completely changed the way I go about things.. the automation, sub-groups, use of aux channels.. I now record my guitars in a totally different way than I did before and I'm getting much better results.. tidier and fatter by far..
now that all the excitement of all the toys I have in Logic is wearing off, I'm being more conservative with the fx.. esspecially compression and reverb... lol...
my mixes are improving little by little.. each new mix bares the fruit of new lessons...
jeez.... all this sound engineering really is an art and a science.....

how you getting on with pro tools... last time we spoke you were not so sure this was they way for you..

If it rains Wednesday, I'll be in Memphis on Friday for the release. I really would like for the rain to hold off till Saturday, but you can't always git what you want.

Skippy- back in high school we had a band where I was on guitar and we had this kid who couldn't have been over 13 and I really think he was 12. Anyway this kid could nail Sammy Hagar songs, I mean it was phenomenal. So we worked up "One Way to Rock" and " Heavy Metal". We had them down cold. Anyway we get to do a show in the school auditorium, and are set to open with "One Way to Rock". When the first verse rolls around,...silence from the mic. We continue to play instrumental while begging him to go on. He just froze. None of us could step up and even come close to hitting Sammie's range so we finished up the set with something unrehearsed. He never sang again, not even in rehearsal, which was a shame because the kid was good. He has teenage kids now and I told them that they should get their dad to sing some Hagar for them. They were shocked to learn.

Gotta Have Joe- thanks for that post. I had never seen that. and after watching I ran off into more of Joe's vids that were linked.

Have a wonderful day.

Clarky:Managed t get things sorted once digibastard uploaded the bug fix prob t make all things compatible between mac pro n PTLE, i was loosin rec audio data by the bucket for a while which was a real drag, but yea its all good now

totaly agree about the studio mix bit....its another art form, had the opertunicity t have a few jars n convo with a brilliant live TV & studio engineer from Belfast who had a listen t my new work & has offered his services t mix down, he,s also a helluva nice bloke plus "slans chops hit floor" has given me the chance t own an Otari Analog 24 track for free!!!He tells me if i can pay the shipping, prolly around 4-500 bucks, he,d feel happy it found a home & place in my setup, its been gathering dust when the BBC shut down a part of the studio cross there...happy days indeed.Japanese Harmony....cool, am i right in saying Marty Friedman was/is a bit of a head in that depo?

Jimmy Hendrix 'was murdered' by his manager, claims roadie

By James Tapper

Rock legend Jimi Hendrix was murdered by his manager as part of an insurance scam, a new book by one of his former aides claims.

Hendrix choked to death on his own vomit when he was 27 – but the exact circumstances of his death have always been a mystery. Now James ‘Tappy’ Wright, one of the rock star’s roadies, claims that Hendrix’s manager, Michael Jeffery, confessed to killing him. Jeffery is said to have made a drunken confession a year after the star’s death in September 1970. Rock and roll: Jimi Hendrix's death was murder, claims former roadie Rock and roll: Jimi Hendrix's death was murder, claims former roadie An ambulance crew found Hendrix’s body in the Samarkand Hotel in West London, in the room of Monika Dannemann, a girl he had known for just a few days. Wright claims Jeffery was worried that Hendrix was preparing to find a new manager when their deal was due to end in December 1970. According to Wright, Jeffery said he went to the hotel room and stuffed Hendrix full of pills and wine. The book, called Rock Roadie, out next month, recalls Wright’s life with various rock stars during the Sixties, including Tina Turner and Elvis Presley. In it, Wright claims Jeffery, who was married to actress Gillian French, made the confession at his apartment in 1971, two years before he died in a plane crash. He writes: ‘I can still hear that conversation, see the man I’d known for so much of my life, his face pale, hand clutching at his glass in sudden rage.’ He says Jeffery told him: ‘I had to do it, Tappy. You understand, don’t you? I had to do it. You know damn well what I’m talking about.’ He quotes Jeffery as saying: ‘I was in London the night of Jimi’s death and together with some old friends ...we went round to Monika’s hotel room, got a handful of pills and stuffed them into his mouth ...then poured a few bottles of red wine deep into his windpipe. ‘I had to do it. Jimi was worth much more to me dead than alive. That son of a bitch was going to leave me. If I lost him, I’d lose everything.’ Wright claims that Jeffery told him he had taken out a life insurance policy on Hendrix worth $2million (£1.2million) with Jeffery as beneficiary. The official cause of death was ‘barbiturate intoxication and inhalation of vomit’, and the coroner recorded an open verdict. This was vital for Jeffery. Had the cause of death been suicide it would have given the insurers an escape clause. The ambulancemen who found the body said he was discovered alone in the hotel room, lying in his clothes on his back, with a gas fire burning and the door wide open. There is no record of who called 999. John Bannister, the surgeon who tried to revive Hendrix at hospital, said he was convinced he had drowned in red wine. Yet Hendrix had very little alcohol in his bloodstream. In 1992 he wrote: ‘I recall vividly the very large amounts of red wine that oozed from his stomach and his lungs, and in my opinion there was no question that Jimi Hendrix had drowned, if not at home then on the way to the hospital. ‘At the time I felt that he had either been on sedative tablets, to sleep or otherwise, and that he had imbibed copious amounts of red wine prior to going to sleep. I would suspect that he regurgitated the red wine and drowned.’

Jimi Hendrix was killing by Jimi Hendrix himself.

At the crossroad, he has chosen too much drugs & crap relation ship.

Sad, but true.

Of course, his manager was a gangster.. but why choose this one?.........

The Sweetness of Married Life

A couple had only been married for two weeks and the husband although very much in love, couldn't wait to go out on the town and party with his old buddies.

So, he said to his new wife, "Honey, I'll be right back."

"Where are you going, Coochy Coo?" asked the wife.

"I'm going to the bar, Pretty Face," he answered. I'm going to have a beer."

The wife said, "You want a beer, my love?" She opened the door to the refrigerator and showed him 25 different kinds of beer, brands from 12 different countries: Germany , Holland , Japan , India , etc.

The husband didn't know what to do, and the only thing that he could think of saying was, "Yes, Lollipop, but, at the bar. You know they have frozen glasses."

He didn't get to finish the sentence, because the wife interrupted him by saying, "You want a frozen glass, Puppy Face?" She took a huge beer mug out of the freezer, so frozen that she was getting chills just holding it.

The husband, looking a bit pale, said, "Yes, Tootsie Roll, but at the bar they have those hors d'oeuvres that are really delicious. I won't be long. I'll be right back. I promise. OK?"

"You want hors d'oeuvres, Poochie Pooh?" She opened the oven and took out 5 dishes of different ho rs d'oeuvres: chicken wings, pigs in blankets, mushroom caps, and little quiches.

"But my sweet honey, at the bar, you know there's swearing, dirty words and all that."

"You want dirty words, Cutie Pie?

LISTEN UP CHICKEN SHIT! SIT YOUR ASS DOWN, SHUT THE HELL UP, DRINK YOUR BEER IN YOUR FROZEN MUG AND EAT YOUR

HORS D'OEUVRES BECAUSE YOUR MARRIED ASS ISN'T GOING TO A DAMNED BAR! THAT SHIT IS OVER, GOT IT, JACKASS?"

They lived happily ever after. Isn't that a sweet story?

Hello everyone,

Steve is at home resting comfortably today. The three doctors at Stanford called off the surgery yesterday afternoon when they had trouble controlling bleeding from Steve's scalp. One of the surgeons installed several titanium screws/pins/posts (whatever they call them) earlier in the morning......Steve and I were even joking with him about Steve looking like an alien...."My favorite Martian"!! Lmao! Anyways, not long after Steve went into the operating room, I got a call on my mobile that they called off the surgery and would meet me in the waiting room (with what seemed like at least one hundred other people). I got to see Steve at about 4 p.m. in the recovery room and all he had to say was "Shit! shit! shit!" and "I'm f**king thirsty!" We got to go home within the hour. Now we are waiting to get a call from a hematologist at Stanford for yet another doctor appointment! At this point, I'm glad he's still alive even though we are both disappointed......Oh, well......feels like being on trial in a court of law........set backs!

Hugs to all of ya and you know who you are M, T, A, K and...JC & JS......so many lovely people!
