EVH may not be a 100 watt bulb BUT he did have a masterful plan... "Hmmmmm, if I give the kid a job, no more child support payments PLUS, maybe the kid's presence back stage will help keep me on the straight and narrow!"
Oh well, it WAS a good plan even if it did not work.

hey Joe , Im writing this on behalf of my nephew.. he met you a few years back in perth austraia. you signed a shirt and had a photo taken with him.... unfortunately due to a tragic accident he now has Locked in Syndrome... his passion for the guitar has had to take a back seat as he now cant move much at all....we are now writting songs hard as.. we spell out letter by letter but very rewarding. Unfortunately his mum washed his shirt and your autograph off ( bloody mothers hahaha) If your ever in Perth again ( hint hint) we will be there and hopefully get another shirt signed.

Happy Footday (again)!
FYI, it turns out you need a wristband to get into the Best Buy signing...so if you don't have one yet you might want to call to make sure they still have some before you head over there.
roo - Maybe you're a Pink Floyd or Tom Petty fan, but today is Footday so you should be talking about Learning To Fall. ;-)
Listening to: Chickenfoot - Chickenfoot (current song: Oh Yeah)
:-)
It's so cool to finally have this...there are so many little things on the album that aren't audible on the songs we've been able to stream. I also think the singles sound much better as a part of an album instead of on their own.

By the way, I highly recommend everyone listen to the chickenfoot cd through headphones at least one time. I am a HUGE headphone believer. I have several pairs and some that cost several hundred dollars. But there is always a difference between a headphone and a speaker. This cd is just great. Also, there are a few subtle Sammy "Thanks Joe' and other things that you can pick up through the headphones.

Do the Stu - LOL. It is really a lot better through the headphones. I agree, the songs put together on the whole CD are really better. Musically this cd really kicks ass. Very glad it's finally here.

"We need music to survive" by Karl Paulnack is for everyone really!!
DotheStu--I got my red CF T shirt from the fan club membership via Fanfire.
BestBuy.com says my CF CD was shipped this week and it should arrive any day now.
My guitar lesson with Ry on Wednesday was so cool. He asked me if I saw the movie, "Crossroads" with Steve Vai playin' the part of the devil. I said I only saw a trailer of it and what was posted here a couple months ago. He said I have to see it so I ordered it over Netflix. Ry wants me to practice more, a tall order with all the distractions going on in my life!
I'm practicing ZZ's Song......heavenly triplets and power chords! Joseph--this song touches my heart like no other!
Michelle, Tracie, Al Mc, Igneousice, Scubadaz, Glitzman, Castle49, burly, roo, Pip Satrini, fatape, SkippyGirl, Satriella--I am so far behind on reading posts, but I will get there! I am determined!
JS1000JS1200--Believe me, I figured out how clueless the US is/was when I was a kid--when I found out a whole segment of the US population wasn't allowed to vote until the civil rights act of 1964!!!
F**king bizarre!!! ;-/

The new album is everything I hopes it would be. Came home from work, downloaded the Amazon version, cracked open a cold brew and tossed the headphones on!
This CD won't leave my car's player all summer...

Hi Joe... I'm an old fan, haven't really listened to much instrumental rock since you put out Time Machine (which I bought two copies of). The new stuff you've down with Chickenfoot is blowing me away.
I was thinking the guitar might get too much in the way, or might be too tight.. but man, this- this is the best rock I've heard in at least a decade! This is infectious, I can't get-it-out-of-my head, good sh!t
Looking forward to seeing you guys on tour, but I have two request:
1. Please get in at least two solo spots. I mean when Hagar was in Van Halen I know there was only one guitar solo in the set, but then again... All Eddie had one solo (Eruption) and he played it every night. You have an entire catalog of incredible instrumentals, please break into a few of them!
2. Can you guys play a few Van Hagar era covers? Maybe some Zep, I don't know.... With a true supergroup I think a lot of us are looking forward to the covers you pick to play.
Take care. What an awesome rebirth for all of you this is.

Well, it's time to head back to Best Buy for the signing tonight. I'm bringing my camera...I don't know what kind of pictures I'll be able to get, but I'll share them with everyone later.
And those of you on the east coast, let us west coasters know if any Chickenfoot-related stuff happens on the Tonight Show before the usual song at the very end. I'll tune in early, but only if I have to. ;-)
