I'm thinking *really, really hard* that a Philly show will pop up in the September time slot...
Now...where did I put my diskman and headphones.....
I agree that the sound is so much better on the cd than what we've been listening to. I played the first two songs in my car while taking my daughter to work. I literally made her have the cd unwrapped and ready to go when I swooped by after work to take her to her job. I smiled the whole way there and back. lol! Then I sat in the garage and skipped songs just to hear what they sounded like. Get It Up has the best feckin chorus ever. lol! Then I brought the cd in the house and played it all the way through. Woweewoowoo!
agghhhh, I must find my headphones! lol!

this is pretty wild...I was just at Best Buy picking up my cd and one of the geek squad guys asks me if I am really into it or checking it out. Then he tells me that he was at the Grove when they played a couple months ago. Then he brings over another guy from the geek squad who you can see in the promotional video. One of those guys caught one of Chad's drum stick and the other one caught a pick from Joe. That's pretty crazy for a store that has like 40 employees in Yukon Oklahoma!

So me and my 2 little ChicKenheads opened the Best Buy this morning and got the first 2 copies out of the box. No mad rush, in fact we were the only ones there for it.
Amazing album.
I'm going to make a template of the ChicKenhead thing that you can print and staple to make your very own ChicKenhead! Those crude prototypes will pave the way for a very smooth finished product, anyone else feels motivated to make something go for it! Imagine how the band would feel if they walk out on stage one night and the audience is full of ChicKenheads? That would be classic!
Notice the shirt I'm wearing is 19 (that's right, I said19!) years old! On the back it says "Dreaming In A Blue World Tour 1990" when my Wife (then girlfriend) & I saw Joe here in Ottawa at the Congress Center for the first time.
smooches,

Hey Joe! Cant wait to see Chickenfoot. Checkout my good friend Mark Stanley from way back to high school. No need to say what decade that was. Anyway I remember him picking up the guitar at the age of 13 and within a year he was rocking the instrument. Over the years has developed a unique style from many influences. Check it out he is really good

Glad to hear some people got their Chickenfoot albums today and are enjoying them.
Mine are lost in the ozone. This sucks majorly huge monkey balls. Supposedly shipped out on MONDAY...but nothing, nada. And no Best Buy within 3 hours to go buy it at.
Fux sake.
Hafta cross my fingers fer tomorrow.....sigh.....
When they do come u can be sure I'll be crankin it AND through headphones, lol!
Chris did great today, played for an hour and get this....one guy said if he'd brought a sharpie with him, he'da axed Chris for his autograph...he wanted him to sign his pants, LOL!!!
JOE....does that sound at all familiar?? As in, the guy in the audience back in Anaheim, April 2005 yelling at you onstage to sign his pants? I about split a gut when the guy said that today, LOL!!!
And Chris got asked to play some other gigs from people hearing him today....one is a city-wide event this summer! He's excited....and I'm very proud of him :)
Sooo...it's kinda sorta footday fer me...no cd, nowhere near the signing in LA...but I hope I stay up and awake tonight fer Chickenfoot on The Tonight Show....I'ma set an alarm in case I falls asleep!!
Have fun on the show guys!!! Or did u already tape it? I wouldn't know but fun before, or fun now, or fun in a few, LOL!!

Hey everyone, the CF CD was here when I got home from work! My Steve put it in the CD player right away and had it on when I got home.......I love my man!!!
What a great heat sensitive album......I love the triangle with the three word message!
Turnin' Left kicks ass! Learning to Fall and Future In the Past do something to me that is tough to describe......just bring so many things together for me......remind me of good times......friends--human, feline, canine and equine!
If it weren't for Tracie, DotheStu, Michelle, Blue_Moon, Satriella, Anibur, SkippyGirl, fatape, Igneousiceman, mikesb, Slansslang, Castle49, Guitarvibes, Satchblues, roo, scubadaz, SuperSwingDog, ZincMaster, Keniko, GlitzMan, Ibanezplyr, and all the other great T2J ppls and Jon Luini and Joe and Steve Vai and Morse....I would be floundering in an ocean of my own tears without hope! Friends and friends of friends of friends of friends.......past, present and future!
Commodore Drake--What's new in Kansas besides that despicable murder in Witchita? ;-( Firearms mean death as far as I can see........that's why I don't own a gun...

Pip- I have a difficult time with 55 miles / hour. A few years back I got one of those nice letters from the State of Arkansas informing me that driving was a privilege and not a right and that mine soon might be taken away. Needless to say I spent the next few years on cruise control. All the negative points on my record have expired. Now I am back to my old ways. No matter how hard I try, I just can't stay near the speed limit. In Texas the speed limit is 70. I could live with that. 55 is like pulling my teeth with no anesthesia.
Skippy- Excellent idea.. She loves to shop. I am thinking I need to try to get to one of the shows from Aug 10 - Sept 1. The venues I am thinking are pretty small. I bet tickets will be a pain to get.
Ozzy- You and Fatape given up on your effects pedal business?
Austin- I couldn't recommend a Steely Dan Album to check out, and I am usually not a big fan of greatest hits albums. (usually because they purposely leave 1 song out so you will have to by another to get that song. But in this case it may be a good choice. "Aja" comes to mind as one of their bigger albums. Mikesb could probably point you in the right direction. The reason I asked you about Steely Dan is because your musical taste reminds me of a guitar player I was in a band with. I think you will like the stuff you don't hear on the radio.
Mikesb- "Got a case of Vegamite,...I could hold out here all night. Or maybe it was dynamite.
Do you Aussies really eat that stuff? (Vegamite) I may be spelling it wrong. I just remember it from Down Under

OK, this sucks. I thought the bonus track was gonna be on the CD. When I realized it wasn't a hidden track I went to iTunes to download it and I can't d/l it as a track (I have to d/l the entire CD). Come on, this just can't be. Is this available to purchase individually?
Otherwise, this CD is awesome! I normally hate these digi-pack cases (is that the correct term?), BUT this one is VERY COOL. I love the heat sensitive cover. Great idea.

Not really a guilty pleasure song but I did think the whammy work on the guitar solo was cool back in 82 Frida
And on drums Terry Bozzio's old group The studio mixes of these songs had some great production. Walking in L.A. had a good groove to it. Bozzio is another amazing percussionist.

burly, Vegemite Rules!
It's funny, but whenever an Aussie returns from overseas they almost always head straight for a toast with vegemite. It's hard to describe what it is, but it's awesome.
The best way to acquire the taste and enjoy it is a VERY thin scraping on a nice bread like turkish or sourdough toasted nicely.
Most newbies make the mistake of pasting it over bread or toast.
It has a great taste, believe me. :)
But I have heard of vegemite pizza, not sure about that one, but haven't tried it so I can't say if it's good or not.

Our house has been rockin' all afternoon and evening! Great album!!!!!!!!
I'm with Michelle's post a day or two ago though -
"Our Joe" isn't going to be ours after today. I'm pumped for him to be in a big-time band, but it's also a bit strange. Can't explain it.
I don't post often, but do read good old T2J frequently and Joe's loyal satchaholics are the best! Great info. & insights here.
The other day I was cleaning out my dresser and stumbled across my old T2J shirt with the yellow bar across the back for our user names to be written in black Sharpie, ha. I remember wearing it to The Filmore one show and meeting other T2J'ers.
I thnik the guys really mesh well with one another with Joe being the quiter calm one, Mike being the happy smiling one, and Chad & Sammy being the rambunctious one's.
Great chemistry, great band! Should help for a fun suumer!
Good move Joe and thanks again for your music!

Footday? It's D-Day. Veterans gather for D-Day event
Saw interviews with these old guys last night on TV, very moving stories. Once you get older your perception of time changes; only 15 years before I was born Adolf was still walking around. In the past I didn't vote for a long time (I don't like a shortsighted idiot a.k.a. politician to represent me). But since I visited the French coast ('Atlantik Wall') in the early 90's seeing the fields with the thousands of crosses myself and not on TV, I started voting again. Realizing freedom and democracy we have here should not be taken for granted. The right to vote was brought back here with a sea colored red with young mens blood. Great sacrifice.

I'm back from the signing...more on that in a minute.
First...if anyone in the LA area is reading this, can you record tonight's 11 p.m. NBC (channel 4) news broadcast? They were at the Best Buy signing and I was interviewed...I don't have a way to record TV here at my apartment. I'm not sure if I'll make it on the broadcast, as they talked to a lot of people, but it'd be nice to get a copy somewhere just in case.
Thanks...
...Austin...
