oh Webby Jon......any hope of getting presale info for the upcoming N American shows BEFORE tix go on sale??? Like, ticket packages so we don't accidentally buy extra fan club memberships again, and when will the presales start...and when will the rest of the shows be put up on the list??? Some of us are willing to travel fer shows but could really use the whole tour schedule in order to plan. Thanks! :)

I e-mailed the Travis Larson Band the pics I took of them at the recent gig at Hertlein Music. The e-mailed back they were still talking about my guitar! They called it "Lead Wood" because it's so heavy. JOE: You would know being the first to have a pic with the ole pro. At least i know it made an impression on them......literally!

An absolutely fantastic show review of the San Fran show HERE
The guy says what I felt and still feel, and does it eloquently.
It's long but well worth the read :)

Michelle--Thanks for the NOT SO LITTLE Stevie Vai linky. He is a quintessential guitar broeder (Guitarvibes translation) or brother! I love his liberty song and for the love of god.....it wouldn't surprise me if he took his jem guitars to bed with him every night!!!
deathcube k--It's beginning to make sense now--you and Buckethead....all the electric wires connect to powerful electric guitar music from heaven!!! You still have my permission to take over the USA, along with Wolfie, and JS1000JS1200, Phydeaux_3, and I'm so hungry or at least my stomach is saying somethin' about it that I can't think of all the other great ppls from Canada right now.
I guess I gotta go get something like pasta to eat and mabbee a salad with cucumbers and carrots.
Byyyee for now. ;-/

So I listened to the Chickenfoot album in my car yesterday, and I have to say it's already up there with some of my favorite "driving" albums (others on that list include Aerosmith's Pump and Velvet Revolver's Contraband). I went to the gym tonight, and the album passes the "workout test" as well...haha.
scubadaz - I didn't really think of the Steven Tyler comparison until you mentioned it, but yeah...I guess I can hear it in there a bit.
I am so impressed with Sammy's vocal delivery on this record. He's 61 and sings better than people half his age.
Listening to: Dave Matthews Band - Big Whiskey & The GruGrux King (current song: Lying In The Hands Of God)

scubadaz - I'm a huge Aerosmith fan...I think most posters here know that, but I'm not sure if I've mentioned that at all during the six months or so you've been here.
I'm way into collecting Aerosmith bootlegs, and to me Chickenfoot sounds a lot like some of the demos the rest of the band recorded when Steven Tyler and Joe Perry were off getting high instead of working on Draw The Line in 1977.
I found two of them on YouTube:
Krawhitham
Circle Jerk
Satch's playing throughout the album really reminds me of some of the rhythm riffs in this first track, and when Chickenfoot JAMS it reminds me of this second track (particularly how Chad uses the bell on the ride cymbal, especially live).
I don't know just how into Aerosmith you are, but I thought I'd dig these links up in case you wanted to listen. Good stuff...

Aerosmith is great
Austin- I t does sound wonderful in car audio
I thing my favorite on the cd is still "Soap on a Rope". I love the groove and I bet is super fun for Chad and Joe to play.I think this is my speeding ticket song as opposed to "Turning Left" which I do like as well.. I line "Bitten by the Wolf" a lot and am considering the digital download just for this song. It's just not complete without it.
I really like Chads style. I really have never listened to an entire RHCP album but I never heard this out of him before.
Joe's main riff on "Soap" is awesome. I like the change up on the second verse. I breaks any monotony associated with songs containing a powerful dominant riff.

chads just chad, he joined rhcp in '89 i think
but yeah he bangs away and looks second nature to em, good drummer alrite, i was a massive rhcp fan before i knew Joe still am but not as much of the newer shizzle... but nothing sounds to special, like i said just Joe jams some bluesy riffs chad picks up a nice truckin beat, mike follows suit and sammy sings about toothbrushes :)
i must give it a whirl in the cari wari :D
Peace holmes.... oh lordy would it kill my sister to wash her hands after she uses the bathroom, what a nasty individual... the joys of having a bedroom closeby to a bathroom.... she was home one day from her 11 months of travels and managed to block the sink ironicly
