scuba: Hey, if the JEM's as good as it sounds, it's worth talking about :) I get what you mean about the gear thing, and yes it has crossed my mind once or twice that they would have been better using some more 'budget' geetars and amps to help us mere mortals who can't afford ES-335s....

Hey Joe! I'm new to your site but have been a fan for years. I just wanted to say THANK YOU for getting together with the guys and forming the best kick a**, in your face rock & roll band in a looooong time. I have been so disgusted of late for what passes as music that I was about to give up listening. Then came Chickenfoot. My wife is a HUGE Sammy fan and now between the two of us, it's non-stop Chickenfoot! Our kids are already complaining! When we remodled our basement she created a Sammy shrine which at first was supposed to be one corner but grew to a whole room. I am a HUGE Cabo Wabo fan and between all her Sammy stuff and my Cabo stuff, which includes a bar, coffee table, end table and lamps made out of empty Cabo bottles, it now takes up 3/4 of the whole basement. We like to call it Club Cabo Northeast! Now we are making room for Chickenfoot stuff. We already have the signed poster from the VIP ticket packages, a pick from a guitar god, YOU, and a drum stick from kick ya in the a** with my bass drum Chad Smith! We went to the shows at the Middle East in Boston and the Fillmore in NY city. OMG even though we had heard a couple of songs on the web (poor quality) I was totally unprepared for what was to come. You guys totally kicked our a**es. I have never been to a show that rocked so hard in my life and I have been to more shows than I can count in my 45 years. At the end of the show Chad came to our spot up front and told my wife " girl you guys rocked all F*n night". Since the CD came out it has been playing 24/7 non-stop in our house, the car, the portables, everywhere we can play it! When I go to sleep its the last thing playing in my head. When I get up in the morning its already playing in the brain. I absolutely can't get enough! We took vids at both shows also and they play on the TV and computer when the CD is not on. We already have our tickets for New Hampshire, Boston and the Mohegan Sun in CT. 3 shows in 1 week, I'm not sure I'll survive! But if I die from a heart attack at least I'll die happy! Sorry to ramble but I am totally pschyed about this project! Long live Chickenfoot and again THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, for putting the ROCK back into Rock & Roll!

Scubadaz- Thanks for the video, awesome to see Vai joking about that. Also funny
I´ve just noticed that Allmusic gave the debut album (Chickenfoot) two out of five stars!!, stating, "There's too much professionalism for this to be a trainwreck but the whole thing is rather laborious, with everybody working far too hard to have a good time." Can anyone explain why did Stephen Thomas Erlewine said that? Because I don´t understand, perhaps my music taste is out of the common, but I did like the album very much.

Well Tostado,
It's like the philosopher DLR once said: The reason the critics love Elvis Costello is because they all look like him!
Or maybe CF is just not that guys flavor of fun. Everything else that follows from that dour perspective is just trying to justify taste.

scubadaz - Hotmail stinks...get a Gmail account! ;-)
PipSatrini - You mentioned a code inside the Chickenfoot CD cover? Where, exactly?
The vinyl came with a code to download the album in digital format, but that was on a slip of paper...not printed anywhere on the packaging itself.
Don1963 - Hi...welcome to the site! Sounds like you have a nice run of Chickenfoot gigs set up...have a great time.
cheese101 - More dates? Awesome! I hope the California shows are added to the end, after Arizona, instead of around the Nevada show...::crosses fingers::

Will there be a pre-sale for these new dates?
Cheese- ditto what you said. This album gets better the more I listen. While driving home this evening and listening to "Turnin' Left", I got one of those uncontrollable smiles I get when I am really happy. It has a real feel good factor.
I want Joe to still be Joe and have solo projects but I want Chickenfoot to keep on going as well...in other words Joe I want you to work extra hard.
Thanks guys for a great record and a great feeling I have had for a little over a year since I first heard the news. When stress starts to get to me, and life hurls it's challenges my way, I think of good things and Chickenfoot was one of the things that I thought about quite often. "It's raining and I can't get the crop planted but the Chickenfoot album is coming soon". And see it all worked out great.

Austin...I'd say theres a decent chance the Cali shows will be after the Phoenix one...at least that was typical of Joe, who knows whats gonna happen with this crazy new tour schedule!!
burly, oops, guess the sale dates are just sale dates....but my recent newsletter said the presales are supposed to happen 3 days before the regular sales, so we can only hope it holds true, lol....Turnin Left is aaaaanother good one...hell, they're ALL good! I really hope you find a way to make it to a show, this is not to be missed!!

They've skipped west Texas so far, but I was pretty certain they would play in New Mexico. I'll wait, but if the closest they come is Phoenix, I'll have to skip it :(
On the upside, the reason I would skip it is because I have 3 trips in the next month and a half, southern Chihuahua in late June, Albuquerque in mid July to watch the Mayhem festival (can you say SLAYER!!! looking forward to Killswitch Engage as well), and St Paul in the last week of July (business trip but I will try to stay there a couple of extra days, I just looooove the drive from StP to Duluth, Two Harbors, Gooseberry Falls...this time I'm gonna try to make it all the way up to Canada). So hopefully the Foot will show up somewhere I can get to them.
Cheers!!!

elpp - I hope you get a Chickenfoot date near you...you REALLY need to see this band. Aside from that, though, it sounds like you do have some other nice trips lined up soon. Have you ever been to Canada before?
scubadaz - I know it's hard to switch if you've had an account for so long, but the longer you stay the more annoyed you'll be and the harder it'll be for you when you do eventually switch. ;-)
I suggest getting a Gmail account and setting up Hotmail to forward all of your email there. There's a setting in Gmail that'll let you reply to messages using your Hotmail address in the "from" field. So you can use that to help you while you make the transition.
Everything about Gmail is wonderful...I really think you'd like it.

Austin: Nope, never made it that far. We tried once but had to turn back because it was getting dark and we didn't want to get lost 2,000 miles away from home!! So hopefully this time I'll make it. One thing I know for sure I will do is eat at Chipotle every single day of that week. There's something about those "burritos" that I can't resist (and I use quotes because they are not really burritos. Trust me, I live in the state where they were invented. There's no such thing as a burrito with rice inside of it).
You may recall that there's a Chipotle in front of the Downey Theather, where LTE played last year. I ate 1 before the show, bought another one which I ate after the show at the hotel, and then ate another one the next day. That's how addicted I am!!
Someone tried to use my e-mail to setup a MySpace page. I found this out when I got a new password on my Yahoo inbox. So just to piss off whomever pulled this s@#$ on me, I have now made my first feeble attempt at joining the social networking craze. Check it out and please don't make too much fun of me!!

elpp - I've only ever been to Toronto, but I've done that several times over the years and I like it a lot. When I was a little kid (around kindergarten or so), my family took a trip there and I went up into the CN Tower. To this day I still remember the view from way up there...very cool.
I'm not a fan of Chipotle, but I do love Mexican food...and here in Southern California it's as close to the real thing as you can get (if it isn't equal to it). What's your opinion of breakfast burritos? I have friends who insist they're not Mexican at all, but I still love them. Are there any ingredients you think must be in there for a breakfast burrito to be considered Mexican food?
And...I just added you as a friend on MySpace. If you look around on my friends list, I have a group called T2Jers. It's probably a bit out of date because I use MySpace more than Facebook, but there are probably some people there you'll recognize and can add as your friends.
Everything on my MySpace page is so out of date...I use Facebook more often now. I've actually created a T2J group there. No one really uses it for anything (yet?), but if nothing else it's nice to have a page where we can easily find other Satch fans. Anyway, here's that link (for everyone here):
