just a copy of the latest news post in case you didn't see it :}
we're happy to report that we have resumed the SATRIANI.COM tradition of provided free aftershow passes to one lucky winner for each non-festival chickenfoot date! as usual, you will need to already have your ticket, and winners will pick up their passes at the box office will-call booth. joe is making time out to say hello, but there is no full-band meet & greet happening.
to enter, pick up your tickets as usual, and then sign up as attending here on SATRIANI.COM. winners are chosen a few days before the show and notified via email. winners need to have picture ID under the name listed on their SATRIANI.COM account profile.

There's a page for the Chickenfoot gig in Berkeley on the promoter's website here. The show will have assigned seating, but that's not the weirdest thing. Davy Knowles is opening, then Queensryche (what the?), then Chickenfoot? That's about the most unusual lineup I've ever seen.
There's still no word on an LA show, but these tickets aren't quite as expensive as I thought they'd be (they top out at $65) so I think I'll go ahead and do it.
Tracie, are you and Chris in?
What about you, Aaron? My brother and dad are also going to the show (they'll probably meet me there from Sacramento), but I could still carpool up for you if you wanted to...unless you're waiting for an LA show. Let me know...
EDIT - Webmaster Jon, if I caught you here...can you give us any hints, if you know anything, about Chickenfoot at the Gibson Amphitheater in LA on 9/27? Is that true?
...Austin...

I still dunno Austin....that's a wierdy line-up, including Back Door Slam.....where's CHICKENFOOT! I like Davey Knowles....and can do without the other two. Not sure I wanna go yet fer a seated venue and all that stuffs before we get to the good stuffs, lol....
Decisions would be so much easier if we only had the rest of the tour dates up...so webmaster Jon, while yer telling Austin about the LA show, could you also let us know about the rest of the shows, as in a possible Reno, or Las Vegas, or Portland, OR show? If I knew those answers, it would influence where we go.....
And tickets go on sale in one more day...sigh....
PS, Austin, there's yer Gibson show up on the tour date schedule, so u at least have yer answer.

there are 3 shows that i'm waiting on confirmation on. one of them is in the LA area. i'd say more but i really would hate for anyone to make plans around them only to have them change (which is still possible)!

hi all-- finally taking a short break to respond to some messages here. i must say it's been great to read all of the posts with the great excitement about the chickenfoot shows and music. we've all felt this way for a while, but what makes it *real* is when y'all start saying the same thing! :}
Pip satrini - yes, i'm glad to have seen the responses to our little secret messages at the end of the 12 days of the foot episodes. we did include a suggestion from the ones fans had posted over at chickenfoot.us/12days. me and my director-in-crime arthur rosato had a blast working on those podcasts, esp the sequences for each song title. i think my favorite is still learning to fall-- so simple and perfect.
do the stu - yes, you found me in that old 1996 photo. behind me is john faber, the original host of satriani.com back in the day (whose ISP we did that first webcast from). though you can't tell it, my hair was longer than his :}
burly - all of the chickenfoot fan club membership payment and tshirts and such are handled by fanfire so not something i deal with. as long as they don't allow paypal payment, you'll have to use the other payment methods they support.
Ibanezplyr - if you are having troubles with the listening party streams, it may be that your internet connection got overwhelmed by something else temporarily. all of the streams are 128kbps so you'll need that much open to get an uninterrupted stream.

webmaster - You say there's one show you're waiting on near LA...is that the Gibson show you just put up, or is there a second one in the area?
Thanks for doing what you can to help us with everything. I go to a lot of concerts, and this is probably the most unorganized tour I've ever tried to buy tickets for. I know the blame for that lies with Ticketmaster/Live Nation/Fanfire...you're really just the messenger, but I wanted to say thanks for doing your best to help.
cheese101 - Other two bands? There are only three on the bill...Back Door Slam is Davy Knowles's backing band. So his set will be a bit different than what we saw in May.
I wouldn't mind seeing Queensryche, but I'm not much of a fan. I don't mind them being on the bill as long as Chickenfoot plays a full set.
I really don't know what to do...it'll be cheaper for me to drive up north and go to the Berkeley show with my family than it will be for them to fly down for the LA show. In fact, I could go to Berkeley with them and LA on my own and it'd still probably be cheaper than flying them down for LA.
Hopefully we get some answers in the next 24 hours, but I have a feeling we'll be making a lot of phone calls at about 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. :-/

Skippy, you're turning into a real collector, careful there! It can get expensive! I just won another rare chickenfoot album! Woohoo still holding at 100% success. Also, happy 500th!
The Internet is the best thing that has ever happened for collectors.
Unfortunately, I stumbled on a batch of stuff I didn't have (some rare 80's Joe) but the postings were pulled before I got some contact details! Maybe a scam I guess.

Hi guitarvibes, how've you been? You going Friday? You could win an aftershow...
Where is the Marshall factory? Do bands take their gear with them or do they just take their main instruments and pedals and hire gear wherever they go? How would all Joe's guitars actually get around on the European tour? Cargo?
roo - do you have the Markus James LP that Satch played on? Can't see it listed on your site but I know you have heaps you haven't posted yet.

I thought the JSX50 was allready presented at latest NAMM? (I think there's a huge market for the JSX50 combo). Well Joe uses the Marshalls on the Chickenfoot tour, it remains to be seen what he will use on a solo tour in the distant future.
Skippy: they bring their own backline gear including amps, in a truck or a trailer behind the tourbus, depending on the amount.

Dave Mustaine back to Marshall, Joe back to Marshall. They must be having a great time at Marshall. Winner takes all.
