some Montreux vids, check em out....
I love the part where Sammy starts singing back to copy what Joe is doing on the guitar...love the Sammy-scream to Joe's whammy scream....
The WhammySammyScream, lol!!
edit: elpp, we lived in Midland, TX....flat, dusty, nuthin to look at in the distance and at least 3 hours from anywhere else, lol! I moved there from Oregon where there are trees, hills, mountains and green....every shade of green...so it was definitely a culture shock at the time, but I got over it....well, except fer all the empty chicadah bodies EVERYWHERE.....GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

Austin: Nothing but frustration dude! They've been playing so horribly for the past year or so (although this coach has been with the team for a short time). The bench was screaming at the ref to call the ball out, and I guess he wanted to stop the play but he just absolutely lost it!!! Ozzy_Fudd's video puts it in the right context. But, as usual, there are some who defend him. "He didn't mean to kick him, he just wanted to stop him". WTF??!?!?!?!?!?
Don1963: I have no blues riffs in me. I don't recall ever attempting to play any of their non-power-chord songs. Except of course Far Behind, which I could play when it came out. Right now I'm trying to figure out the intro riff to 10,000 horses, already figured out Happy Pills.

That Obama / Sarkozy photo is priceless. Brazilian girls, nothin' more to say!!
cheese: substitute Midland for El Paso (or Juarez for that matter) and the description fits perfectly. It is sometimes frustrating but what can you do, one stays where all the jobs are at.

Chee, watching those Montreux vids makes me smile from ear to ear. Joe just looks soo feckin happy! Look at his face and his body language. He's having a blast! It fills my heart with so much joy seeing him shine like that. Makes ya happy no matter what's going on in the world.

At a blues festival yesterday night.. lot of harp..
Saw the Kellie Rucker band. This woman is a bomb on stage, with a deep blue feeling, believe me. It was very cool, waiting for JB, on monday 13.
Met an elegant american drummer, Danny Montgomery, who has played with Ray Charles.
Good weekend.

Burly : saw you are interested by blue guitar.
I get some instrumental blue tracks Here, if you get time to check.
One of the songs, Riviera from Hell, is a tribute to SRV.
Ibanezguitar : i go to the Sete's one. Town of the Paul Valéry (great french poet) marine cimetery. It's at 2 car's hours from where i live.
In my knowledge, Roy Marchbank gets lot of respect for JB. But who doesn't? Maybe assholes.

McDave, it definitely wasn't a regular night of skating. lol! I did spend some time in the ring, but with all the laughing and my instant Chinese eyes, I was better off on the carpeted areas. lol! The place was packed too. One of the main things that sticks in my mind from that night... some girl got sick and was trying to get from the food area all the way across the place to the bathrooms. We could hear a commotion, and see the crowd part as she made her was through it with her hands cupped over her mouth. She tried so hard to make it, but she exploded a couple of feet after she passed me. Left a trail of pizza across half the place. I never laughed so hard in my life. Then I had to check out the trail, and laughed even harder. People were gagging and turning green. It was the funniest thing ever. Poor girl. lol!

Hello Mr. Satriani, what a pity that your concert has been cancelled in Hamburg.
Could you please tell me the date you'll play in Hamburg next time?
I need pressingly two tickets for your Chickenfoot tour.
The best wishes from

Chee, funny enough, I would have loved to have some of yer days! Spending yer youth AS a youth is the way to go. Spending yer youth trying to numb yerself...emmm, not so much. lol! Managed to have some good times though. lol! Got most of it out of my system by the time I was 24. Once I decided to start a family, that was the end of the wild days. Still have some good times, but they're not chemically induced... cause drugs are bad. lol! That said, I am a Mc...so I still get my swerve on ;-)
