A woman was sitting at a bar enjoying an after work cocktail with her girlfriends when Steven, a tall, exceptionally handsome, extremely sexy, middle-aged man entered. He was so strikingly handsome, that none of the women could not take their eyes off him.
The young-at-heart man noticed this one woman's overly attentive stare, and walked directly toward her (as all men will). Before she could offer her apologies for staring so rudely, he leaned over and whispered to her, "I'll do anything, absolutely anything, that you want me to do, no matter how wild or kinky, for $20.00, with only ONE condition".
Flabbergasted, the woman asked what the condition was. The man replied, "You have to tell me EXACTLY what you want me to do, in just three words."
The woman considered his proposition for a moment, and then slowly removed a $20 bill from her purse, which she pressed into the man's hand along with her address.
She then looked deeply into his eyes, and slowly, and meaningfully said........
"Clean my house."

Thank-you EVERYONE for the good wishes and prayers for Chris...I know chelle posted that things went well, so just to cap that off a bit...
The longest part of his wait was once they took him to the prep room to get his IV started and various other hook-ups...then we waited...and waited...and waited...they brought 3 warm blankets over the course of our wait. I was crackin jokes, trying to keep his mind off things (if yer the one in the bed, u know that's actually imposible to accomplish, but mom had to try) and talking about our upcoming trip to Lake Tahoe to see Chickenfoot!!! OH, and taking his picture in his very fetching blue surgery cap that looks like a mushroom....
They finally came to get him, I had to go out into the waiting room...did you know that's a much longer walk going out by yerself, than going in with yer loved one?
Only waited about an hour but again...that hour took a lot longer than a regular hour does =| They brought me back to him in recovery as soon as he started coming around.
He kept repeating two things at first... "Am I alive?" and "I just don't remember them wheeling me back there!" His first surgery, a year ago, he kept talking about the jelly pillow he had to lay his head on, and kept grabbing my hand saying "are you really here?"
So he's highly entertaining coming out of anesthesia :)
After about 20 repeats of the above, he then added in "I'm hungry" and "I need banana cream pie". LOL!! Nothin wrong with his tummy!!
We left as soon as he was able to safely, and headed for a restaurant. He'd only not eaten since dinner the night before, and here it was only about 10ish am, so it's not like he was gonna die of hunger, but he was STARVING, MOM!! I kept giving him sips of water in recovery and telling him "here's some coffee" or "here's a bite of banana cream pie" but he dint buy it :)
So yeah, at the restaurant he scarfed down an iced mochacinno coffee drink, a huge hamburger, fries, half my breakfast and coffee....and we bought a banana cream pie fer him to enjoy later :D He's already eaten almost a half of it, geez!!
So now he waits to get better...first few days are the hardest as he deals with the pain from surgery, but he has pain meds and is under strict mom-orders to REST. His appetite is as good as ever, he just texted me to say he was enjoying a good breakfast and will call when he's done.
And we wait for the pathology report to see what's up. I hate this part.
So again, thanks for all the prayers and wishes everyone, yer a lovely cyber-fambly :)))) Oh and Slan, I'll let Chris know, thanks for continuing to think of him with the cd, no worries, you do what you need to for yerself first!! Glad you were able to restore all your hard work!

elpp; thanx for the good thoughts. just trying to let others know the important thing is to stay positive and show those you care about how much you care, tomorrow may be too late. 3 Chickenfoot shows because they are all within 50-75 miles from our house and since it's all we do for fun these days we're going to 3 of them. when i used to write lyrics it was always with a tune i had worked out in my head but never had the talent to play the tune so.......
michelle; if we could afford it we would be seeing more shows than that!

I saw Dredg again last night...I went to yet another show because I heard they added my all-time favorite song to the set. The band (and the song) sounded great.
I saw MegaBoyd's brother Wyatt and their sister, but Boyd wasn't there. Great show...As Tall As Lions opened; I liked them a lot. Their new CD came out today...I'll post more about them later.
cheese101 - I'm glad Chris's surgery went well. And he ate an Austin-sized meal after...sounds like he must have been hungry! ;-)
turbo236 - Yeah, I completely agree with you. I haven't bought the Astoria CD and probably won't buy this one. It can't be too expensive to add the second disc, you're right.
It stinks that you're still more than a month away from It Might Get Loud, but you have to trust me when I say it's worth the wait. You'll love it...
Let me know if you can't find the Hendrix Woodstock bootleg. Once I'm back in Long Beach (with internet, hopefully), I'll find a way to share it with people here if it isn't available elsewhere.
Ethn Hayabusa - You lose! ;-)
Sticking with guitarists, I have trouble with the name Shepherd (Kenny Wayne Shepherd)...it's a name so many others spell differently (Alan Shepard, etc.), and it's tough to remember who goes with what.
matt king - Very cool! I was wondering what you thought of Chickenfoot...good to hear you enjoyed yourself.
Skippygirl - Your Down The Drain link is broken. And yes, the picture you're talking about is awesome.
axeshredderjc - Did you say anything here about what you thought of It Might Get Loud? I may have missed the post, since I was without internet for a while...
BigBunny - Great question! I just got a new phone so I've been thinking about the ringtone question. I can't decide what to do.
I've always thought RJDV would be a great ringtone...that's probably No. 1 so far. Hmmm...what else? Maybe the intro or outro to Turkey Man? The chorus from Ghost or The Mystical Potato Head Groove Thing?
Don1963 - I'm seeing three shows this tour as well (Lake Tahoe, Berkeley, Universal City)...I'm glad I'm not the only one! We're not addicted...right? ;-)

I am new here . Hope I am not jumping in uninvited but my ringtone is Satch Boogie- no one else I know has a ringtone like it . I would love to have Mystical Potato Head Groove Thing but I would probably take too long to answer it . I am just another Joe fan, eternally grateful for the day I first heard his fingers touch the strings. That might sound a little extreme but its true.

BigBunny: To answer your ringtone question; I have used Crowd Chant as mine for probably about two years now. I purchased it from the AT&T Media Mall. Last time I checked, they had a small selection of tunes from Joe and if I remember correctly every song from the Chickenfoot album (except Bitten) was also available for purchase for those of us that use AT&T.

Peace Lily - Welcome! It's always nice to have new people here...tell us a bit about yourself. When did you first hear Joe? What are some of your favorite songs/albums? What other music are you into?
Back to your post, I think the tapping section in the middle of Satch Boogie would make a good ringtone. Thinking about it some more, I might also go with the intro to Secret Prayer.
I was listening to an interview with Mike Portnoy of Dream Theater a few months ago...his phone went off in the middle of it, and his ringtone is their Pull Me Under.
Does anyone know what Joe's ringtone is? Hey Joe, perhaps? ;-)

My husbands is Psycho Monkey - JS, daughter's is Straight Out Of Line - Godsmack, my sons in My Name Is Mud - Primus, me mums is Time - JS, pops is Jaws Of Life - Petrucci, sister & nephew is So Fucking What - Metallica, other sis is Water & Oil - Bob Marley, T-Bones is Conflict - Disturbed, JP is Tunnel Vision - Petrucci. Although a Satch fan is supossed to use a Satch tune as ringtone, to tell you the truth, I've used the Stone's intro riff of "Can't you hear me knocking". Yeah, a kind of wink, perhaps.
Now I'm using a softer and more discreet tune, the piano intro of "Firth of Fiftth" by Genesis
