Hey Satchland..... Thought I'd change my opening line for a change. Do you like it? .. lol...
shelly.... You're scaring me. I'd fill that glass immediately...lol... Hugs
Turbo236.... I could tell you today what my top 10 favorite Joe songs are, but they would be different tomorrow and every day after. They change depending on what mood I'm in or want to be in. For right now though, The Souls of Distortion is at the top of the media player list for most times played, followed by Is There Love in Space? and If I Could Fly.. I also have really been digging The Meaning of Love (Live Version) as well.
I thoroughly enjoy the fact that I never have to look for a reason to like Joe's music, it's always right there!. That's why I'm here!
Sorry for my usually huge post!
Great Point.... and no need to apologize. Post - a - Way.....
Austin .... I don't want to sound GAY (don't tell michelle) Music to me is all about feeling and emotion. Turbo 236 is right there with me. When I hear FIABD it hits me like a tone of bricks. When I see Joe "live" play FIABD, tears just pour out of me, the hair goes up on my back and I feel like I can save the world...(from what ever)...lol... It's just so emotional for me and I can't explain it.
Have A Great Straight Day Everyone.... lol.....

Watching RHCP @ Slane Castle - again! I'd give my left nut to have THIS much energy! Soo much energy throughout the entire show!
Don1963, I finally got to read yer reviews and see yer pics. You guys had a great time! That makes me so happy! Especially the fact that they were kind enough to put you on for the next night. Wow! That speaks volumes! Sorry you had some jerks at the first show. We had a few at our gig too. It's all about giving and sharing and making sure the people around you are having as much fun as you are. To many people are selfish mofo's who only care about what they can get from the show or how cool they can look. Nothing cool about bragging rights if yer being a douche to the people around you. Enough about that. You're wifey looks like a shorty. lol! Also looks like she was in rock & roll heaven! lol! We talked to Steve - Davey's drummer, who was trying to figure out how the hell to get inside the venue. lol! He said the bus had to park so far away from the actual venue, and they drove round & round trying to get there. lol! Nice guy - and he looks so familiar to me. Dunno why? Awesome pick for an opening act! Glad you guys had so much fun! Great pics too!
Vacation day today. Slept 10 hours again, and I've done fuckall so far today :-) 2:00 in the afternoon and I'm still in my jammies :-) Got the Chili Peppers blasting, still sporting my Joeglow, and I'm just having an all around good gad damn day! lol!

Coffee man - I don't know how tall you are but you look like a big ole grizzly bear to me, the sight of you blubbing away to FIABD must be a sight to behold. :-) But man, you just gotta go with the flow and ballix to what anyone else thinks or says.

michelle: we saw both the electric version and acoustic. both were awesome but i liked the electric a little more becuase the when he did the electric version on the road test tour he proceeded to fill the song with a few solos!! thankx for the kind words. yes we had an AWESOME time. things have been real tough for us the last couple of years. a lot of stress and a lot of tears, but everything just melted away for those five days and gave us a little recharge to come back fighting. yup some people can be a-holes, in NH i thought for sure i was gonna have flatten the guy who grabbed my wife's soap on a rope necklace, luckilly he gave it back. in Boston a young kid gave my wife a stick and i gave him Joe's pic. thats the kind of people we like to be around. i think Davey's drummer was the guy doing the acoustic songs before CF played on the road test cause he looked just like him and the signature we got from him matches what we were told was the openers name for the road test shows.
thanx cheese; i think they should all wear hardhats! it does seem like Joe is doing alot of the classic rock star poses on stage lol.
Do the Stu: i loved that song Peephole on Cosmic Universal Fashion, it's a hard rocker for sure. the mrs wouldn't let me play it with her around though because of the lyrics and subject matter. awesome pics! i just gotta make it out there some day.
alot of folks writting about their favorite Joe tunes. i have to say i like all the ones i've heard really. i look at it a different way though. to me before CF, Joe was an instrumentalist, and i just grooved on his playing instead of the whole song so to speak, probably because i play too. now i groove on the whole song. i hope the CF project makes it to a second album because i think Joe will write more sophisticated stuff instead of the stripped down stuff he did on the first cd. obviously i love this cd and i love the fact that Joe came up with some huge riffs that were "simple" (for him), but yet no one else did them. i just think given more time he will be more "elaborate" with his riffs. just my 2 cents.

I came across this cool Dave Matthews Band live video that I thought I'd share, from way back on 3/17/95. The song is basically a jam, and there are a lot of cool shots of their drummer. Carter Beauford is No. 3 on my list of current drummers, right up there with Neil Peart and Mike Portnoy. Anyway, here it is:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=il5uQm_1vUE
ptrocker - In the studio, I prefer the techno versions of the EOC songs to the "band" remixes, but I do think the songs came across very well with the band in a live setting.
I'd love to see Joe play some songs with an entirely new arrangement...laid back, bluesier versions of some EOC songs might be pretty neat.
Skippygirl - You're the second person to tell me I look like Clark Kent in those photos...haha. I got a new haircut the day before going out there, and I REALLY don't like it. It's much shorter than I wanted. Oh well, though...it'll grow back.
She doesn't know Satch, but we had a lot of driving (7 hours each way) and I played her The Extremist and EOC. She liked EOC more, but seemed open to everything.
cheese101 - No, we don't need to have THE TALK. Although maybe we should...we can drive people away with it, and work our way up front and center. ;-)
Igneousiceman - Cool band...thanks for that link. I don't think I'll get completely into them, but I'll give 'em a shot.
michelle - I had a few more shots looking straight down, including one or two of our shadows cast on some rocks waaay down at the bottom. I decided not to post them, which, for your sake, is probably good. ;-)
I make My own guitars - Hi, and welcome! Do you have any pictures of your guitars?

elpp..im shocked you ask but glad you liked the photos..the camera i used i picked up refurbished for the widescreen...Kodak easy share z1085....i have many issues with it and own another camera thats so much better but these are the sacrifices i had to make to get widescreen photos and video...walking in with a camera like joes will have them throw me out just as fast... every show ive been to lately, after videoing 2 songs i get the tap on the shoulder, you know, thats enough filming....but the band sees what im doing...and the results are to their benefit....but you know...i do like to enjoy the show so unlike so many...i only film 2 or 3 songs...the three shows ive been to ive captured an awesome collection and so many havent even been posted...its just too much...about 200 pics per show....phones cant photograph this well...sorry for long post. but thanks for the reply and appreciating my effort!..=)...
...as Joe has more than once..thanks man! http://www.youtube.com/user/g3joe

Mystical Robot :- As far as scales go,while I know my way around the fretboard fairly well,I've never been good with theory. I've always been more of a "feel" player and Ive usually discovered things purely by chance and then found out later what it is I discovered. Not that I don't understand theory,I've just never been able to consciously apply it. I've learned over time never to underestimate your own ability, because even though you may think your not that good, sometimes you gotta take note of what those around you say when they hear your playing. If they're telling you how good you are,run with it and keep improving.
Another tip I can offer is this: anytime you have the guitar in your hands and you feel like you're stuck in a rut, listen to music you don't normally listen to and improvise over the top of it.Doesn't matter what it is.Rap,R&B,Metal,Classical, country, even commercial pop.I've always found this opens you up to fresh ideas and sounds,as does jamming with other musicians.Cheers!

Austin-I actually went to Meyers Elementary School with Jaycee Lee Dugard. One of my best friends was at the bus stop and saw her get kidnapped.Surreal.
I can't believe what she has had to endure.I hope for the most heinous punishment for her captors. How they could dare to plead "Not Guilty" leaves me speechless.I reserve the highest level hatred for that class of human being.

cheese101 - "Chris and I will be in line early"
And, for once, I can be right there with you from the start! I won't have any toll bridge traffic to get stuck in this time around...haha. I think I've been about 30 minutes to an hour later than you to the last two SF shows...argh.
Maybe I'll get to Lake Tahoe an hour earlier the day before to make up for it? ;-)
michelle - That's really sad, especially if it was drugs that killed him. I'm sure he looked at life differently after making it through the plane crash, but to still not be able to kick the bad habit after that? I can't imagine how addictive some drugs must be...
Listening to: Gambale Hamm Smith - Show Me What You Can Do... (current song: The Promise)

addmission free, pay at the door, pull up a seat and sit on the floor. I come before you to stand behind you to tell you some thing I know knothing about......In the middle of the night, in the broad daylight, two dead boy boys got up to fight. Back to back the faced each other, drew thier swords, they shot one one another. A deaf police man heard the noize, ran up and shot the two dead boys. Now if you ask me how this all came to be....I'll tell you a blind man told me he saw it all thru a knot hole in a barbed wire fence...........
