Joe - when you first picked up the guitar what was the order of things you learnt over, say, the first year?
I know you were 14 and probably had 23 hrs per day to play but generally, what did you learn first, second, third etc?
Or was it completely ad-hoc, although I find that hard to imagine of you :>).

Hi Ozzy, just wanted to let you know I've been through something similar last year. I felt like crap for more than one year. The good news is, after the storm passes, you'll find yourself in a much better place. Good luck and be patient! Abraços, VP

Cheers, everyone. Thank you for your kind words. T2J never ceases to amaze me.
The people here are some of the nicest people from over the world. It's amazing what kind of people are attracted to Joe's music. I'm good, torn, but good. The wife's, lets say, coping. We will pull through this. we refuse it to get nasty and full of hate. To many good times over the past 20 to leave on a sour note. We both have fatape here with a friendly smile and a keeping an eye out for us. Your one in a million dude... Skippy- Cheers girl.

Slanshroom - lmao mate... next youtube video I post is definitely going to have this - safety net bedroom guitar video chopisity - in the description! Your stuff is awesome, much like that Pacifica. Was it a weight thing that made you hack off the bottom end, or access or bored of how it looked lol?
Cheese - what's the latest on pops? It was sounding pretty positive. Has he had that milkshake yet!?
Michelle - firstly, so sorry for the loss of MA. We're all here for you, whether we're short or tall.... but f**k me is it raining in here or what at the moment? How's your mum now?
Realitybites - hi, presumably you've seen the video of you getting hauled up on stage that's on youtoob? The denver show I think?
Skippygirl - late happy birthday from me! Was it a good one? Sounds it. Did you obey the rules and NOT play Stairway to Heaven in the guitar shops?
Fatape - those guitars look NICE!!!
Ozzyfudd - sh** man, that's really sad. Some good vibes coming your way from me
Burly - hey there, how's your daughter doing?
Nothing much to add from me... nothing too interesting going on (yet) but I do have the Mr Big vids up on my Youtoob if anyone wants a gander... will link them later
For now, sending some good thoughts to everyone who needs it right now

My heart and thoughts go out to all who are having hard times right now...and for those who are experiencing joy and good times, keep it up!!!
Been reading the board as I can, can't answer each person individually, no time and it would be a huuuuge post, lol...but thanks again for all the good thoughts for my dad and family.
Quick update, he's off the vent permanently as of Monday afternoon...when I walked in to see him after work and said hi, not expecting much more than a wave of his hand, he raspily said "Hi" back to me and I about fell over...and of course I cried. He was off the vent and could talk again! There have been other improvements, some large, mostly small, and we're celebrating every one of them. He's also taken a bit of a step back in that his heart started acting up, so is on a couple medications to stabilize that. Still has the feeding tube because his swallowing muscles/mechanism got quite lazy while he was on the vent and kept unconscious, so now he needs to do speech therapy to get that muscle back in gear. Once that's solid, they can take the feeding tube outta his nose (he can't hardly WAIT for that!!) and then he starts eating food by mouth...so THEN will come the chocolate milkshake. That will be a big milestone and something to celebrate, that milkshake!!
He's been moved technically out of ICU, he's in the last possible room that's still in the ICU area but the acuity is very different...instead of him having a nurse to share with only one other patient, he hasta share his new nurse with 8 or more...so won't get as much TLC from them, but then again, it's a sign he doesn't need as much care. U know I'll be there picking up the slack though, lol! Yesterday I shaved him as no one on the floor had time to do so and he hadn't shaved for at least 2 weeks...I had to tell him that he was like a lawn...first I needed to use the weed-eater (sideburn trimmer) on him to cut some of the length down, THEN I could mow with the regular shaver head :) He felt better once that was done. Baby steps.
They also got him out of bed for the first time yesterday, just to stand and take a coupla steps, but it's a start. He sez he's tired today and doesn't wanna get out of bed, but I hope they can convince him to do so, as every time he gets up is another step towards coming home.
A ways to go yet, but looking forward to the day they spring him from there. He's good for another round yet :) I like to tell the nurses he's very strong, but that actually it's his stubborness that gets him through, which of course he denies being stubborn, LOL!!
Hugs and kisses to everyone here; as was already said, we're a wonderful community of people, brought together by our love for Joe. Have a good day folks!

I don't think I mentioned this in my post yesterday, but the Joe Perry Project played an album release gig at the Viper Room.
I was there...some of my photos are on Facebook.
The photos are from my cell phone camera so they aren't the best, but Joe played a nice variety of guitars so they're worth looking at for that if nothing else. He has a lucite guitar (similar to the Crystal Planet JS, kinda), one with an airbrushed image of his wife, a few left-handed Fender Strats strung upside-down, and (of course) some Gibson Les Pauls.
Ross Halfin was there shooting...I shook his hand afterward and said I was a fan of his work, but then he started talking to a friend of his so I wasn't able to say anything about his Chickenfoot photos. Oh well...
I saw Slash was at the show, in a booth off to the side with (I think) Nikki Sixx. And what's the name of the guy who I think is Guns N Roses' second keyboard player, with a stage name similar to Dizzy's? I'm drawing a blank... Someone said he was there with them too, but I don't know who he is or what he looks like (How's that for vague? Haha...).
I think this will be my last concert of the year, unless I find $300 to go see U2, so it was a good one to go out on.
...Austin...

Pippy, in the group pics from AC, I have on platform type shoes with 2 inch heels, and T is wearing flats. I was faking it pretty good, but the most important part of that trip height wise was that I still fit in Joe's hug "nook" perfectly :-) As for my mom - wtf is going on? I thought it was pneumonia because of how congested she sounded and she was having a hard time breathing. Nope. Seems she has a nice puddling of blood inside her heart that is being caused by an irregular heartbeat. They have to put her on blood thinner for four months, and hope it doesn't clot. If she gets a blood clot in her heart - it's curtains. After the four months on blood thinner, they want to shock her heart back to a regular rhythm. That news alone has her more freaked out than anything. You might as well have told her that she was going to the electric chair. They told her she'd be sedated for it. I think she needs to be sedated for the next four months cause she's gonna stress herself into a heart attack ffs. She's supposed to rest and do no strenuous activities. That's prolly not gonna happen, but I think she might be scared enough to take it easy for maybe a week. After that, she'll prolly say she feels okay, and then start doing to much. *sigh*
T-Bones, always thinking about yer dad and yer lil' mum. *hugs*
Do they have Jagermeister in an IV solution? I'll have 3.
