Slan - Funnily enough I cook for Mrs Cappy about five days out of seven. The other two we eat out. But yes, when she gets back from the wee worky trip she is on I will give her a treat.
Scooby Doo - Tackle oot indeed, I do actually sometimes cook with nothing on but a pinny and footwear. She once brought her mother round unexpectedly and I met them face to face but completely forgot that I had nothing on but my pinny, they both obviously thought I had shorts and a vest on under the thing as it was summer, when I turned to go back into the kitchen I heard an amazing sound, MIL gasping in horror at the same time as wifey let out a hoot of laughter when my bare ass came into view. It was ages before she came round again, result! LOL

WooleyMan- My grandfather would eat chickenfeet and noodles, I remember seeing the pot on the table with the yellow chickenfeet and the noodles curling thru them and grandpa chewing on those FREAKIN FEET AND SLURPING UP THE NOODLES. Ever since I read your post earlier I can not get that image out of my mind. Kinda crazy considering I have been listening to "CHICKENFOOT " for months.
Ah memories .......(shiver ...gag)

alan, just read one sentence every 10 minutes. You'll eventually know the score. Maybe Safley will break it down for you. If not, you'll just have to wait for the book in cd form. lol!

michelle - Wow...your department head sounds like a real jerk. I'm always amazed how people like that manage to get those positions.
I've told this story here before, but about five years ago I got a job at Wal-Mart to make some money while I was home from college for the summer. I worked in inventory (organizing the back room and stocking some shelves out front), and every day people on my team would help out the truck crew. We didn't have to, but we did it as a favor.
There was this one guy on the truck crew who had more seniority than most of us, and he went out of his way to criticize anyone for anything that wasn't done to his liking. He REALLY didn't like me, probably because I never gave him the attention he wanted.
So I work the summer and go back to school. One day on Christmas break my family and I were shopping at that Wal-Mart. I think the store had a new manager by then, and that day I was there I saw the guy from the truck crew rounding up shopping carts in the parking lot. Seeing him doing the lowest job at the store made my year.
Anyway, it looks like you picked the right moment to speak up...and it sounds like you might have some support. I'm sure things will work out in your favor.
Do you get a copy of your write-up? Have you framed it yet? ;-)
...Austin...

and yeah, chelle, you rock! You gotta love love how incompetent frustrated people like to give you shit just because you refuse to just take it in the back... now, don't be surprised if the next time you're up for a raise they dodge it on the argument that you are too negative...
my former boss told me I needed to inspire people if they were under performing. I told him that it wasn't my job but his to make sure other people did the job they got hired for in the first place and then I asked him who was inspiring me? I gotta say, I loved the silence afterward...
