Slansh, thanks for the translation :) Actually, there is such box (not commercially) The Portuguese Fender representative has one of those. You can fit a number of different pickups in there and just try them. I think that's what you were saying...
Mikesb, if you stop playing completely you'll never have any more problems... :o)

thats why i plan a tour playing acoustic & electric the same ie straight t DI with no fuss, its by far the best plan so long as yer guitars are earth,d well & no 60 cycle single coil shit gets t the sound eng!
actually playing acoustic with a kit has not been resolved,,,an ongoing prob, bass drum send it into hyperspace every time not t mention piezo pickups & acoustic humbuckers honkin big time

Yes, the SLT vid crowd shots are from the Seattle road test show. I will never forget that stupid pole in the middle of the stage at the El Corazon, and you can see Joe's JSX's behind him, too.
The shots of the crowd are a little too quick for me to identify anyone, and the black and white doesn't help.. That is the only show I've ever been to that I actually needed to wear earplugs. Well, should have is more like it. By the time Highway Star came around I thought they had started blowing out the PA system, I could barely hear Sammy sing! That place was LOUD!!

For $750.00 I should get a weekend with the band so they can clean my house, mow my lawn, wash my car, and change the batteries in all my smoke detectors. Oh, that should also include the show ticket and a t-shirt ;-)

I think a neck rub should also be part o' the packish chelle :)
Cap'n, my dad is coming along...doing therapy every day, not sleeping much at night, wants to go home but is being stoic about the whole situation....except when it's just the two of us and then he cries. Breaks my heart. He worries about my mom/his wife....and lately he's been talking about his realization that his time left is short....I hafta try so hard not to cry when he talks about it, because I know he NEEDS to talk about it and he needs support, not tears from me. I also have to be realistic and not try to say to him, "naaaaaah dad, lets not talk about it cuz it ain't gonna happen"....that would shut him down when what he needs is to deal with it. So we talk, I hold it in till later...and tell him that whatever time we all have left together, lets make it a DAMN fine time. I want to deny that eventual happening with every fiber of my being....but....I also want to help him with this part of his life, to deal with it, make peace with it, and have him know how much he's loved and that his life has been well-spent.
He did say that as he's thought about things, he doesn't think there's much of anything he would change. I guess that's something, eh? :)

Promoter's AND the artists should realize a lot of their biggest fans are NOT financially that well off. Come on guys, give us a fecking break fer cryin' out loud!!!!
My two cents worth!

It does seem some people have more money than the average person on T2J, if those packages are already sold out . This is the first thing connected to Chickenfoot that really" pisses" me off. That catering to the elite type o crap is anti-rocknroll, far as I am concerned. Still a 'FOOT fan but wondering WTF ?
Cheese- thanks for the up-date, I know you were talking to Cappy but
I really admire the way you handle life, and the trials that come with it......Glad your dad is doing better.

Reminds me of when a female colleague spent over a grand to watch a tennis match in the Rafael Nadal friends box.... It was called the Rafael Nadal "package" and thats what she was expecting for that price LMAO.....
Needless to say, she left disappointed....

Monterrey Trace - I'll comment on the last bit of your post first, "Something"?, well my two bits says that is everything! Now then, i'm not one for stroking someone just for the sake of it but IMHO you are not just a good mom you are a special daughter. Kudos to you for letting him talk to you about what he needs to even when you find it painful, you know of course that he doesn't want to talk about such things with your mom to minimise the pain he knows she is experiencing. I hope Chris is managing to deal with things as well. Peace.
Conch - How's ole Viv doing? Hopefully better.

Slanshroom-That album is AWESOME.I love Vinnie Colaiuta's drumming on the original.
As far as counting, once the drums come in it's pretty much just 4/4 for the most part, but Oz is adding so much syncopation that it sounds like odd time.

Ethn....oooph its so much more than that, jaysus these lads are so watertight on improv its scary
at the same time, i feel its like how Bruce Lee talked about a form being the way...his idea was no way, when anyone points the finger and calls it TRUTH, it becomes like stone, it cannot grow, its a dead form!.In the same way
music in "college" is the same, its main focus is mental, it bypasses internal completely killing slow any chance of you playing whats inside, the student becomes overwhelmed with what he/she doesnt know they put whats important in a box in their soul away because they are told they are................... inferior when all they needed to do was stick the finger up t the lot & go for it
I have great respect for the best in jazz fusion but i got t admit......its fuckin boring

Cappy, thanks for askin'!
T-Bones seems to be having more success talking with her dad about his affairs. Ol' Viv's favorite line is "When I die, shove a hambone up my ass and let the wild dogs carry me over the mountain!". She's a real pisser that one is. lol! She's still very congested and weak. She has a decent day every now and again, but she has a lot of backache and her ribs hurt from coughing. She's on so many meds. I just hope they're working. She's tired of being sick, that's for sure.
I got some funk creepin' up on meh. I'm catching a cold or some sort of head & chest infesting malady.
Do The Burgers, I prefer this Awaken ;-) By the way, I'm on page 277 of Slash's book. Did you start it yet?
Scubz, how you be?
WEBMASTER LUINI, I'm signed up for all things Joe, but for some reason I don't get some of the newsletters. I have to ask Tracie to forward them to me most of the time. Could you look into that please? Thanks!

Michelle: I think I've been having the same problem with the newsletters. Everyone here was talking about costume ideas for Joe and the new DVD and I had no idea what the hell they were talking about. Finally, I got this month's newsletter yesterday, even though it says it was sent on Tuesday. I don't know if it's a problem with Yahoo, Satriani.com, or somewhere in between. If there have been any newsletters in the past year or so then I haven't received any of them.

Slanshroom-That's one way of looking at it.I respectfully disagree with the notion that theoretical knowledge negatively affects passion or deeper meaning in music, unless that is not what you meant.Fusion is my personal favorite type of music, I admit.

Do The Stu - sorry, I forget to add a smiley or something at the end of my witty comments, so you take them literally :>)
What I meant was, is that you the tall young bloke with glasses in the SLT video who picks up the girl HAHA but of course I COULD have meant is that you in the crowd shots cos you've been in so many Joe vids it's a distinct possibility.
In any case, you've answered both possibilities.

Mikesb- 'round here is rural Eastern Oregon right next to the beautiful (and polluted )Columbia River. Sand , Sagebrush ,coyotes, jack rabbits (and Meth labs.)
Mucinex is brand name for 600 Mg. guaifenesin which is an expectorant. Its a yucky subject but the stuff helps to keep you from getting bronchitis and worse.
