Satchiella - I call you that because i'm a loon and I change most people's nicks a bit. I thought it might be a little obvious where I get the Satch from, come to think of it where I get the iella from is also fairly obvious. If I had a lisp though, I would be calling you Thatchiella!
BTW, I only changed my nick to Cappy because of that fecker Slan. He started calling me that and it caught on with a few others so I bowed to the inevitable and changed.
Mentioning Slan, hey Roy you never answered my post where I axed if any of you musos who have produced CD's ever sit and listen to their own stuff.

That teasing sense of humor--like a bro would do with his sister or brother! You must have brothers and sisters who know this all too well!! I for one love this because my dad, "Joe the Artist/Art Teacher" was goofy with my older sister and me from day one. I didn't have any brothers except my goofy Dad gave me an idea of what that was like.
;-D
Satriella--I enjoy your posts. You are showing off a crazy side of you and that's what I like. :-D

To add to Austin's post, do not get thrown off by the a--holes who do use their cell phones on the road. There's plenty of them, but YOU will be the one getting pulled over and ticketed for it. You know that's how it works! You can find some cheap bluetooth sets for 20 bucks or so... Friendly reminder, In California pedestrians have the right of way... You think they're jaywalking? Stop anyway! I got a ticket for "not yielding" on the first week after I moved here, even though the person hadn't crossed the street yet(???). I'm sorry officer, I was thrown off by the green light! The best part of it: the officer told us we should pay attention on the road, and then he wrote the wrong car model on the freaking ticket!!! Gotta love this shit!
This rule sucks the most when you're trying to figure out where you're going!!! Oh, well... Sorry this turned into a rant...

HAVING MOM OVER FOR DINNER
Brian invited his mother over for dinner. During the course of the meal, Brian's mother couldn't help but notice how beautiful Brian's roommate, Jennifer, was. Brian's Mom had long been suspicious of a relationship between Brian and Jennifer, and this had only made her more curious.
Over the course of the evening, while watching the two interact, she started to wonder if there was more between Brian and Jennifer than met the eye.
Reading his mom's thoughts, Brian volunteered, 'I know what you must be thinking, but I assure you Jennifer and I are just roommates.'
About a week later, Jennifer came to Brian saying, 'Ever since your mother came to dinner, I've been unable to find the beautiful silver gravy ladle. You don't suppose she took it, do you?' Brian said, 'Well, I doubt it, but I'll send her an e-mail just to be sure.
So he sat down and wrote:
Dear Mom
I'm not saying that you 'did' take the gravy ladle from the house, I'm not saying that you 'did not' take the gravy ladle. But the fact remains that one has been missing ever since you were here for dinner.
Love, Brian
Several days later, Brian received an email back from his mother that read:
Dear Son,
I'm not saying that you 'do' sleep with Jennifer, I'm not saying that "you 'do not' sleep with Jennifer.=A0 But the fact remains that if Jennifer is sleeping in her own bed, she would have found the gravy ladle by now.
Love, Mom

Zinc - like that one alot hehe!
Feeling jealous you quite a few of you are all about to see Joe in Reno and SF - pls make sure you get yourselves on the podcast and give us your vids so we can see you all.
Hope the Blue Moon is recovered from his flight.
Listening to the Seattle 93 CD, it's awesome, with lovely blues intros to Extremist and Summer Song, really different sound pumping with energy.
Argh, off to work, gotta earn a dollar, didn't make the 1.5 laps of the footy oval this morning, but ran 1.5 out of 2.0 with a walk at the 1.0 -1.5 mark. Did more sprints than last time tho.
Have a great day all.

JS1200;JS1000-on the sanfrancisco DVD joe shows 2 delays when he takes you backstage. but, he only has one pedal on his new site for the guitar lessons. so, i don't think he changed that setup much except for adding the pog. maybe it was stolen. haha what about the univibe? that is used on the song "its so good" from SC. i didn't see that on his new site. finally found the octavia pedal joe uses. i did a little research on the octavia pedal too. damn!, lost the link. it was the guy who actually built hendrixs' pedal.
TIKIMON-thanks for the invite. only 5 more days. can't wait for some real food!

Hi Joe. Thank you so much for coming to Dallas on 11-6. It my first concert of yours that I have been to and the best overall concert experience I have ever had. It was awesome to be right in front of your pedalboard when you were playing and I was amazed by how great you and the band sounded live. It was my brothers first concert and he loved it as well. He even caught one of Stu's picks. The Satchafunkilus tour shirts are awesome too. Thanks again for the amazing show. Come back to Dallas!!
Devoted fan,
Nick

Good Evening Satchland...
So being out of work and feeling sorry for myself, I like to browse through the Pre-1980 vintage guitars that are being sold on E Bay. How would you like to write a check for this.
Anyways I enjoy looking at old instruments until I start to see that people are taking instruments like the Esquire , and parting them out. Talk about the ultimate act of greed. I just want to throttle people like that...gawd !!

SuperDave--Man, I sure hope you get a job soon. My man had to take a job at the Home Depot after working for UL Santa Clara Office (now San Jose) for 21 years. He was out of work for over 2 years and was glad to get (what he called) a survival job. With his disability, it has been difficult for him to find a job because no one wants to hire someone who has seizures unless they have a policy that encourages hiring people of all ability levels and understand that reasonable accommodations won't detract from their business environment.
Anyway, I hope an employer sees what a valuable employee you have been and will be for them. There's a place for you!

Professor:
Went to the show at the Plaza in El Paso last Friday night and just wanted to say what a pleasure it was!! I have been a fan since the "Not of This Earth" days and dedicated since "Surfing" was released (So you can kind of guess my age group). This was also the second time I've had the pleasure of taking in your show but this time, I was with my son (15 yoa) who has become quite the guitarist himself and has started his own band. It was his birthday gift having third row seats to watch the Master at work and he was blown away.
Please tell Stu he is still the man and thank him for at least trying to throw the picks my way. Just the recognition of my admiration was enough. Until next time...

GoldenGirl2....A survival job is exactly what I'm looking at doing real quick if I don't get a callback soon. I'll be applying at the grocery store up the road. Everything has a way of working out. I just have to get the "working" part figured out. ;)

Forgot to mention in my last post (I was getting wordy) how blow away I was by Mountain. Seeing Leslie West and Corky Lang that close was unbelievable for me as they are living legends. I saw them once before in about 1987 but from a distance. Seeing Leslie West on stage with Satch was an unbelievable dream come true. It made me a fan all over again. For those fans that haven't seen the "Professor" tour yet, you are in for a treat.

SuperDave - did you see the gold JS guitar? I have no idea if it was a good guitar or not but wow it looked sensational.
Hope the work situation improves soon, surely carpentry and guitar skills are needed in the world somewhere.
On another topic - any Aussies or New Zealanders lurking? Would be great to hear from other Satch fans down here.
