nothing really Alan..and nothing more that the effort of my response..kinda surprising because i always find Joe/ foot fan to be very pleasant and grown up. its deja vu from the days i use to battle guitarist on websites...theres always someone thats a big man hiding behind a computer but will never face me....ive been playing guitar for 30 years and have learned the style of numerous guitarist...thats how i learned...not tabs...which will stall you where you are and youll never get better (there are exceptions)...ive been an ear player all my life...basically because i had no choice in the late 70's when EVH was on the scene...anyway im not offended..and ill stop there because if it isnt about Joe...i feel it has no place here...but that my opinion and im not telling anyone to agree. Peace is cool....so let it be!
Good Luck Pip on the contest...it seems many find your videos better as youve jumped pass manyin the lastt 24 hrs...WTG!....but the fact is...My videos of Chickenfoot rule..hahaha.
Just image if they announced this contest before the tour...i personally would have snuck in a tri-pod but the whole joint would have been filming it....that maybe an interesting idea next tour...

Yeah Austin, Reno is prolly as close as we're gonna see that show come, so I'll likely get tix tomorrow when they go on sale. I hated that venue, I really really did...but if it's our best &/or only chance to see this show, then that's where we'll go! San Fran is farther away but who knows....if I get tix fer Reno and then a San Fran or Portland show appears on the schedule, I'll consider those too :)
Pippy....lol......well ummm, if you need me to help u with a ticket, u'd better decide TONIGHT if yer comin cuz they go on sale in just a lil over 16 hours u know.....tick tock, tick tock.....
Joe....thanks from Chris and me both. You're the BEST and we love ya dearly :)

Wait...what? What's going on sale? What's going on? And who's being nasty where? And why is my head like a balloon? And how come some months drag on forever and December flies by? And why does everyone decide to shop on the same feckin day?
Like I says to Mabel, I says - what's going on?
I definitely need more sleep.
I'm 3 pages behind. I'll catch up sooner or later. I'm thinking later than sooner. Happy Friday peeps! It is Friday...isn't it?
edit: scratch that - I'm 5 pages behind. lol!

It's old, but it's still funny as hell -
deer santa:
I wud like a kool toy space ranjur fer Xmas. Iv ben a gud boy all yeer.
Yer Frend,
BiLLy
Dear Billy,
Nice spelling. You're on your way to a career in lawn care. How about I send you a frigging book so you can learn to read and write? I'm giving your older brother the space ranger. At least HE can spell!
Santa
~~~
Dear Santa,
I have been a good girl all year, and the only thing I ask for is peace
and joy in the world for everybody!
Love,
Sarah
Dear Sarah,
Your parents smoked pot when they had you, didn't they?
Santa
~~~
Dear Santa,
I don't know if you can do this, but for Christmas, I'd like for my mommy and daddy to get back together. Please see what you can do.
Love,
Teddy
Dear Teddy,
Look, your dad's banging the babysitter like a screen door in a hurricane. Do you think he's gonna give that up to come back to your frigid, fat mom, who rides his ass constantly? It's time to give up that dream. Let me get you some nice Legos instead. Maybe you can build yourself a family with those?
Santa
~~~
Dear Santa,
I want a new bike, a Play station, a train, some G.I. Joes, a dog, a drum
kit, a pony and a tuba.
Love,
Francis
Dear Francis,
Who names their kid "Francis" nowadays? I'll bet you're gay.
Santa
~~~
Dear Santa,
I left milk and cookies for you under the tree, and I left carrots for your reindeer outside the back door.
Love,
Susan
Dear Susan,
Milk gives me the shits and carrots make the deer fart in my face when riding in the sleigh. You want to do me a favor? Two words. Jim - Beam.
Santa
~~~
Dear Santa,
What do you do the other 364 days of the year? Are you busy making toys?
Your friend,
Thomas
Dear Thomas,
All the toys are made by little kids like you in China . Every year I give them a slice of bread as a Christmas bonus. I have a condo in Vegas, where I spend most of my time making low-budget porno films. I unwind by drinking myself silly and squeezing the asses of cocktail waitresses while losing money at the craps table.
Santa
P.S. Tell your mom she got the part.
~~~
Dear Santa,
Do you see us when we're sleeping, do you really know when we're
awake, like in the song?
Love,
Jessica
Dear Jessica,
Are you really that gullible? Good luck in whatever you do. I'm skipping your house.
Santa
~~~
Dear Santa,
I really really want a puppy this year. Please please please PLEASE PLEASE
could I have one?
Timmy
Timmy,
That whiney begging shit may work with your folks, but that crap doesn't work with me. You're getting an ugly sweater again.
Santa
~~~
Dearest Santa,
We don't have a chimney in our house, how do you get into our home?
Love,
Marky
Mark,
First, stop calling yourself "Marky", that's why you're getting your ass kicked at school. Second, you don't live in a house, you live in a low-rent, ghetto apartment complex. Third, I get inside your pad just like all the burglars do, through your bedroom window.
Sweet Dreams,
Santa

Do The Stu(Austin), Cheese101(Tracy) and everyone that loves Joe's music I am posting this looking for your positive thoughts and vibes in mind. My wife (Shannon) fell down a flight of stairs the Sunday before Thanksgiving day, physically she is fine. The problem is that she banged her head pretty hard and got Amnesia.
She has lost about 30 years of her memory. The long term memories she has right now are her memories from being 9 years old. She knows she's and adult and has her motor skills. She just doesn't remember me our kids, her parents, and her friends. It has been a tough two weeks for me and my daughters 17,16 & 13. It has been tougher on her she feels all alone, and ost and in the dark.
She understands what has happened to her and the possibility of her memory coming back is on a daily wave of emotions for her and all of us.
What made me think of posting this hear for everyone to read is her ring tone. She's had Always With Me, Always With You on it for a couple years now and she said she wanted to change it today. I put in the Satriani LIve DVD tonight and played the extended version of Always for her.
She kept repeating what a beautiful song it was, and that she had never heard anything so beautiful before. She was teary eyed, it brought tears to my eyes as well. Seeing my best friend, my wife, my lover, my soul mate in this dark place. And not being able to help restore her memory quicker.
I wake up and pray and hope that her memory comes back soon, so that I don't have to see that look in my daughters eyes EVER AGAIN. It is tearing me apart inside, but I have to be strong for her and for my daughters so that they don't lose faith and hope.
Joe, I've been listening to you since 88-89. My wife has been listening to you since 91 when we met. Throughout all these years your music and talent has been a constant in our lives. Your soul and spirit that touches us through your music has touched us once again tonight.
I believe Shannon changed her mind of changing the ring tone tonight, because she made a connection to who she was before her accident by listening to Always. I hope this is a step in the right direction.
If you want to see us in happier times I have pictures posted on facebook under Freddy Garza from our trip to the Lake Tahoe show.

Freddy,
Your post tonight really touched and saddened me. Thanks for sharing what you have been going through. I am praying for all of you, especially Shannon. Family is so important!!! You have all the positive thoughts and vibes that Brian and I can give. It is great that you brought Joe's music into it. Joe's music can really touch the soul. Keep your head up. You and your girls love will bring her back. It was great to meet you at Lake Tahoe. You will get back to those happy times again.

bluebuffalo - Freddy, I don't know what to say. I'm sorry to hear what happened...please let me know if there's anything I can do to help. You can always send me an email if you don't want to post anything here.
Your wife, you, and your family will be in my prayers...
Listening to: Joe Satriani - Always With Me, Always With You
EDIT - I'm not sure if this will work for everyone, but here is a direct link to our group shot from the line before the start of Chickenfoot's Lake Tahoe gig (found through the link bluebuffalo posted).
ANOTHER EDIT - Everyone here thinks I'm silly for all of the pictures of half-eaten In-N-Out, pizza, and other meals that I include with photos of any trip I go on. As expected, the teasing was in full force at Sammy's Cabo Wabo the night before the gig...but I do remember that before we had finished eating, Shannon saw where I was coming from and took a picture of her meal that night as well. I'm not sure why that sticks in my head, but it's a fun/lighthearted memory that I felt like sharing...
...Austin...

Bluebuffalo - big hugs and positive vibes to you, your wife and family. I am sorry to hear of her accident and trust that all the memory connections will return in time. How wonderful that the way she feels about Joe's music remains the same. It must be difficult at the moment and I hope things improve quickly for you.
For Chickenfoot in Australia say "aye"!

Bluebuffalo: I am completely shocked and overwhelmed. I don't know what to say. I'm so sorry for your wife, Shannon. I'll pray for you, your wife, & family. I know she will get her memory back soon (it takes time). Feel free to chat back if there is anything that I could do to help. You're more welcome to write an e-mail as well. Prayers to you, Shannon, and to everyone this Holiday season.
McDave: Wow man! As of right now, I'm working all three (for the time being). My work at the Holiday Inn is getting a little out of hand and there are workers leaving & going to other departments. Plus, that's where my benefits are so that's a huge reason for me staying there The Marriott is not too bad. I go back there today this afternoon/evening (second day there). They're letting me try it out for a few days to see if I like it or not. Hope I can get benefits there. The guitar store that I work is great (working there this morning). There is no way I want to leave there & I love it. If you ever think of coming here, what will your family think of all this? By the way, my 6' Christmas tree is up, and I put Joe's Additional Creations & ITLIS autograph sleeve under it to make it more special (and it's from you off of E-Bay).
Have my Christmas tree up and it's a special one this time of year. I'm putting some Joe & Chickenfoot music under the tree because this year, it's been a year of Joe & Chickenfoot.
Do The Stu, Cheese101, and to those going to see Chickenfoot in Reno/Las Vegas: Have fun!

Freddy, Shannon and family, my heart and prayers are with you all for what you're going through. You and Shannon are good people, and I have faith that eventually she will be well. Her brain has an injury and needs this "protection" right now to give it a chance to heal fully....and your love, your wife, the girls' mother, will be back with you one day when she is healed.
Have the Doctors given you any ideas of what you might do to try to help her without pushing too hard? Little clues to her life being presented here or there....familiar music, photo albums, tv shows, going back to places you've been before...I've never dealt with amnesia before so have no idea if any of that is appropriate to do. I know you'll do all you can to help her, and your daughters.
Just know there are many here at t2j, and I bet Joe included, that will have you all in our prayers and be sending out positive and healing vibes until Shannon comes "back" to you. She's got goals and plans, and is an incredibly tough lady...for some reason this is something she has to also overcome....but she will!
Hugs to you, Shannon, your lovely girls and the rest of your friends and family. U give a holla if there's anything we can do, k?

Blue Buffalo - Prayers for you and your family. I can not imagine how difficult this is for your wife and you. Stay strong and have faith her memory will return .
Yesterday I was doing a little X-mas shopping in Best Buy and they had "The Electric Joe Satriani - An Anthology" I snatched that right up....love the linear notes from Joe . I know I am behind the times ....but this is cool stuff. And again I am a happy gal.
