Well thanks Jamie!! You musta emailed it in.
I have to say the winning vid (I'm told its Cabo Wabo 10/10 Oh Yeah) is pretty good. A good couple of minutes of Cabo Wabo Cantina signage and the people sleeping on the street sets the scene, then the crowd anticipation of the first song, the guys coming down the stairs, good picture and sound of the whole band, the Oh Yeah sign Sammy uses, and even coverage of Joe and Sammy, and running over 9 mins it tells a story. I can see why Jon would have picked it.
Best of luck to Dan.

Yep Petrucci is doing a clinic 2morrow and then Portnoy tuesday is doing an instore signing just down the road from home :) :) bet i don't sleep tonight :)
Yeah Skippy i was on the facebook site and Jon Luini popped in and posted the email addy and said if anyone wanted to ask something write in so i just e-mailed in can you ask the guys to give a shout out to australia say G'day and maybe say see ya next yr for a tour.
But like cheese said couldn't really hear Jon ask but sammy must of heard something and said pretty much if u wanna see the show last gig of the yr is tonight so get on a plane and then jon must of said there in australia and sammy said something about ask the plane to fly the opposite way then we might get there in time lol.
Maybe i should of e-mailed in asking for a signed chickenfoot shirt cause when they done the draw they put the guitar on the desk then the T-shirts and sammy grabbed em and said bugger it we'll sign these aswell so not only did the winner get a signed chickenfoot guitar but also 2 signed T-shirts lucky bugger thats a mighty collection of gear just with a click of a camera button :)

You and her and all your families and loved ones are in my thoughts and prayers and I'm certain our great and Almighty Creator will take care of you all. I cannot begin to imagine what you are going through, but you strike me as a spiritually strong and faithful man so I believe you will find your way through this and I will also keep believing that your wife will recover all her precious memories. It may take time but then again it may take the tiniest memory to start a snowball effect.Stay strong ,my friend, and keep hold of your faith. hey dream3, you dont want polish or any wax on a guitar before its signed it needs to be clean...a little alcohol/test on back first...Please!!!
Needless to say i polished once and the ink of the sharpee get pushed to the sides and eventually wears of no matter how careful you think you can be..lol
i sprayed thin coat Krylon clear coat directly over Joe sig on my electric rainbow and it looks great and playable but not shiny..i was told later use a higher end clear coat...anyways..... youll only really notice the spray if you guitar is solid colored but anyone who sees it says who cares..protect the sig.....fatten the tip on new sharpee...gl

Bluebuffalo: sorry to hear about your wife, hope things get better for you and your family. don't give up trying to spark a memory, you never know what could be the one to bring it all back.
Chicknefoot sound check was awesome! love hearing these guys just letting it flow out. the creativity is just incredible. could've wathced them jammin without Sammy for hours!
congrats to dan for the win. guess it was the votes that did it for the most part. the vid in first place wasn't even about Chickenfoot. if that would have won then it would have been totally ridiculous.
well just watched the Pats embarras themselves again! i said it last week and thought about it the week before. the dynasty is over!!! once again it was the secondary who couldn't defend against the pass, even with a rookie QB! oh well this season is "Down the Drain" and unless we pick up a secondary offseason we can give up on next season too! not sure i can even watch the rest of the season. i have patience but they are really weak!

So was it one of the T2Jers who won the guitar? I am extremely out of the loop. Need a little brain salad surgery. Too much load on a simple mind lately.
Joe, I envy your shirt folding technique.
I thought I was going to see a Chickenfoot concert...told ya I been outta the loop.
Enjoy the week folks.

just saw Gary Hoey perform on his Ho Ho Hoey Christmas tour. Simply F'n INSANE!!!! I've been listening to him since I heard Hocus Pocus on the radio around '93, but this was the first time live. His sound setup was perfect: amp stack ear splittingly loud and the tone was clean with little to no feedback. Like cranking a CD in the car. He, his drummer and bassist played tight and furious the whole show while jumping around the stage and playing the crowd. Got to meet Gary afterwards and he is totally cool and laid back. Best night/ guitar performance I've seen since either Joe's '98 Crystal Planet or maybe the '00 Engines tour. If the tour has a date near you definitely go. Anyone who likes guitar will have a guaranteed awesome time! just passing an opportunity on to some fellow guitar addicts ;)
JOE: Lookin forward to updates on new solo material my friend!

Chelle-
Daughter's leg is doing a lot better. PT has the knee working back into shape as well as the ankle joint. The incision wound on the foot did not heal well but after the permanent cast was off we were able to improve that to the point she is out of the woods. Walking some in January we hope. Probably with a permanent limp but that's better than not walking at all....Thanks for asking
Now that all crops are out, it's back to the guitar on a more regular basis as well as the gym. Life should slow down after the holidays.
Improving on working in and out of scales/modes although my brain may not recognize which mode it is. I guess that's OK, as long as it sounds good. Trying to stay away from Minor Pentatonic when noodling around. Seems to be helping me break out of my rut. Just wish the old brain worked as well as it used to.
I have probably heard before but is there a place on the Ibanez website or any other for that matter, to run serial #s for the purpose of finding out which model /year you have.?

Burly, great news about yer daughters progress. Foot injuries are usually slow to heal because it's the fartherest (is that a word?) point away from the heart. Long way for the blood to pump, especially if she's been immobile. PT does wonders, so don't be surprised if it all comes back to her and she's right as rain at this time next year. What they say and what the human body can accomplish are two different things. Give her hugs for me.
As for me, I have 4 days off...in a row! lol! It's like a gift from God I tells ya! These past 4 days at work have been like Black Friday on steroids! I'm so glad the end of the year business has blown up like it has. Hopefully that will save somebody's job come the new year. After December it gets scary. Last January they chopped 14 people. At this point we don't have any bodies to spare, but that don't matter to them. They cut people and make the remaining people work 10x harder to do the jobs of all those that are gone.
Anyways - Let's dance!
