Al, This one's for you. Go check yer sleeves ya douche! lmao!
T-Bones, the person who won is the one I was hoping for out of the final 2 that were the tightest in the race. Crazy almost won, but she got bumped by crazy #2. Unbelievable what those peeps look like now compared to when they first went on the show. I really shouldn't drink a glass of wine and crack peanuts while watching that show. lol! Shay is coming back for the next season, and Subway is giving her $1,000 for every pound she loses. Talk about motivation!!
Ohhh, Danica has moved to NASCAR!
That storm is coming this way, but nothing yet. According to the weather map, it's all up on us, but nothing is reaching the ground.
I say, if ya got a pocket full of tomatoes, why not throw them?

Hey Joe! (now i got that song in my head...)
I know you heard it before, but ill have to tell you, too: great job, with everything! You are a/one/the-most fantastic guitar player.
Sadly, i only recognized that when i started playing myself...
Since were at the subject: i need your advice. You probably guessed that i am a huge hammett fan. After becoming a fan of his, there was no way around becoming yours. I actually started because i was bored. I had a friends Epiphone SG at my place, just grabbed it and tried a little. I didnt care that i was a lefthander and the guitar a righthander's. So i just held it "upside down", (like Albert King, the low E string is the lowest of my strings). Now, three years and various scales, chords and progressions later, i start to think whether or not i should learn it "properly". I am good at what im doin right now, but i just dont know if i could be better. Too bad that i fancy lead/solo guitar now, since those thin strings are at the top(further distance for my fingers). What i need from you is a guitar-masters opinion on the way i play, and if it COULD make sense or even have certain advantages(or disadvantages) to it, that i dont see yet.
Bends are easier for me, so are barre chords and their variations. I am having trouble with pentatonic pulloff/hammeron patterns, since from pinkie to index i can only stretch over about 6 or 7 frets (in the higher regions of the fretboard)
My dream would be finding a teacher who knows as much as you, and is willing to work with my style...
thanks for taking the time
Ronny

Cube, I think hitting 6000 posts makes me feel older than when I turned 45. lmao!! It has been about 11 years. Wow! I remember Joe talking about writing Crystal Planet and waiting for that release. I got hooked on Joe after seeing G3 with EJ, and then KWS the same tour. I still have that shirt with the purple silhouettes of SV, JS & EJ.
This major storm that came through - we got a 1/2" of slush :-)
Forgot to say it yesterday, but...
R.I.P John Lennon
R.I.P. Darrell "Dimebag" Abbott

ah yes the irish budget was out today the worst in the history of the country, slapping more taxes on ridiculous things, but to combat people going across to border to buy food and drink they took 10c off the price of alcohol... doubt its gona work everyones gona shop across the border..
there was a public sector strike 3 tuesdays ago and all the roads were jammed with people shopping up the north, funny that!
and the healthcare system which is already ina shambled with no beds is having a 400,000,000 cut, well done there! ...im sure theres another vast plethera of ridiculous cuts to be heard thats just something i seen there today, its a shocking country with its 21.5% vat and another 10c to petrol now!
look at me getting all economical

John Lennon's and "Dimebag" Darrell's deaths are in my opinion the most infamous in music history. They were both shot by their psychotic, crazed fans.

Oh I think Jimi Hendrix may be just slightly ahead of Dimebag in that respect. But a tragedy nonetheless..
This may come as a shock to some and I'm not at all proud of it. But Mark Chapman is my mom's 2nd or 3rd cousin through marriage. Pretty sick huh? I tried watching "Imagine" last night and I got kind of choked up. Dammit he was a talented guy..

Jimi wasn't murdered, though.
I'm not a fan, but I know Dimebag Darrell is very influential and I can see how his death affected so many people (fans and non-fans alike). I mean he was killed DURING a concert...I can't even imagine that.
Joe's ITLIS? shows at the Fillmore (the pnemonia gigs) happened just a few weeks after Dimebag was killed. I know Tracie/cheese101 remembers this, there was a kid who kept trying to put his backpack up on the stage next to Joe's pedalboard. And then there was another guy who ran to the front at the end, shoving everyone aside, to pull Joe's mike down into the crowd just so he could get a guitar pick. Those things seem innocent enough, but at the time they were a bit scary. We didn't know what their intentions really were.
I don't like rap, but another death that bugs me is Jam Master Jay of Run DMC...mainly because it's unsolved. Rap has a violent image, but he/they weren't a part of that at all and that makes it extra unfortunate.
Anyway...
...Austin...

Mckenna said plethera and used it correctly in a sentence....I'ma fall over with shock and amazement :) He likes to toss out those big and interesting words now and again just to stun us, LOL!!! Hi 5 Mc!!
Austin, Chris and I remember that incident very well, esp since Chris threw the guy's backpack over his head into the crowd when the guy wouldn't stop sticking it up there. I had a scary feeling about the whole thing, given what had recently happened to Dime. I remember security was extra careful about checking people over at the gate before that show...but security at shows since then has once again gone pretty lax in favor of moving people through the line more quickly.

Those incidents would be really scary, good thing people (cheese chris austin) were looking out for Joe. ..........
I remember when John Lennon died , it was so surreal...like why would any one want to kill him? Or Dimebag......for that matter.
Crazy crazy stuff.......

There is such a plethora of people spelling plethora as plethera that plethera has made the urban dictionary. Seems that if one makes enough speeling mistaks that they are no longer regarded as mistakes! Beer time methinks.
