Dear Joe,
Deepest condolences on the loss of your mother. I lost my father 4 years ago Dec. 19. Then my mother died 51 days later on Feb. 8. It's especially difficult this time of year, with the holidays and all. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.
Will be looking forward to seeing you in Denver on the Hendrix tribute tour.
Wishing you and your family peace, comfort and love this holiday season.

Aerosmith's Tyler enters rehab
Dec. 23, 2009, 7:32 AM EST
LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Aerosmith front man Steven Tyler says he has entered a rehab clinic to treat an addiction to pain killers he has taken to cope with 10 years of performance injuries.
Tyler says in a statement released Tuesday to People and Rolling Stone magazines that he is eager to return to work with his bandmates.
The band canceled a summer tour in August after Tyler fell off the stage during a performance in South Dakota and broke his left shoulder.
Tyler's doctor Brian McKeon told People that orthopedic injuries over the past decade have left the 61-year-old rocker with severe chronic pain that will require surgeries on his knees and feet.
A message left by The Associated Press after business hours for Tyler's manager Allen Kovac was not immediately returned.

I'm in San Francisco with the better half. Good times! I wanted to go visit Real Guitars but forgot to check the address before I left the hotel, I ended up walking really close by when looking for my bank without knowing it. I don't know if I wanna go back there, though... Being reminded that I'm broke and can't afford a new guitar ain't something I wanna do this week... Too much other stuff to do anyway... There's a Guitar Center nearby too, but if the Hollywood store does not have decent lefties, what makes me think this one will?
I need to go to that left handed guitar store in Houston, that's what I need to do
Happy Holidays, everybody!

Since I don't post that often, a 1000th post is somewhat of a milestone for me... So I figured I should try to summarize my participation on this forum with something relevant and meaningful...

I was sitting here feeling kinda down thinking about Joe & his family missing their mama, and I came up with a nice idea...
How's about at some point during the next couple of days, each one of us lights a candle and send out thoughts, prayers, and good vibes to Joe's family and Mrs Satriani and let them feel the power of love over the holidays. When we're done with our thoughts on the Satriani family, we can move on to all our friends and family that have gone on before us, and those of us that are having a hard time this holiday season. Just totally fill the airwaves with peace and love and togetherness. If y'all were closer we could hold hands and sing, but we don't have to go that far ;-) Spread the love to the heavens and back. I think that would be pretty cool.
I know a lot of us do this anyways on a daily basis, but don'tcha think it would be nice to give Joe and his family some extra lovin'?
Love ya Joe!

Hi, I was just on youtube, and of course there's always someone talking about Joe in every way on his videos, but I was struck with awe when I saw someone post a comment about his mother (RIP!).
I joined this website just a little while ago merely to see if they were right, and now I unfortunately see they are... Best wishes Mr. Satriani...
If there is anyone today who deserves a peaceful life, You are that person, Joe.

I have heard of the 24 fret JS, but i dont think that they need 24 frets. I own a Steinberger and a JS1, and the steinberger has 24 frets, but all the higher frets past 21 are all buzzy and not necessary. Plus on A JS the neck would be too long.
I checked the "road" and its all jimmie hendrix, im talking about Joe soloing by himself again, no chickenfoot. I wish he would go back and do an "all time best song tour" haha And play songs like A train of Angels, Back to Shalla-bal, Mystical, Crystal planet, house full of bullets, and the cool songs that he did. Every theatre would be packed lol

This may be a DP but I make absofeckinglutely NO apologies for it!!!!!
Over the last couple of years I have moaned and whinged about the too many family and friends of mine that have shuffled off this mortal coil. Well finally I have a bit of good news, for the first time ever, at (I think) the FIFTH attempt, my darling daughter has managed to grow a little person for longer than the magical 12 weeks. It's kinda difficult walking with everything crossed and touching every bit of wood I can find but never mind.
HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE, AND A PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR.
IF THERE ARE ANY OTHER RELIGIOUS AND OR PERSONAL FESTIVITIES COMING UP I ALSO WISH YOU ALL THE VERY BEST.
Peace and good vibes to all,
......and just to show that I can see into the future, EXTRA good vibes for Peace Lily and her grandchild.

Peeps I am going to be greedy and ask for some more good vibes...December 22 at 11.00pm my new grand-baby came into the world one month too early ...she weighed 6 lbs. and 8 ounces and was doing so well but her little lungs are not developed enough She wasn't getting enough oxygen so she is in a little oxygen tent. My daughter developed a tear that allowed the amniotic fluid to escape so she had to have a cesarean early. She is the one married to the son-in-law that rolled the Jeep..... Any way babys name is is Rhiley Rae and she is beautiful...........but wee bit early. Hopefully her little lungs straighten out soon.
Thank you all for the good thoughts that have been expressed.
Edit- Cappy Steve- Thank you and prayers for your daughter and baby...I do hope it all goes perfect this time.........

Cappy - great news, I am so happy for you and maybe you can un-cross something now and sit out the remaining 6 or so months breathing easier.
Peace - congrats on the arrival of your grand-baby, an early Christmas gift, *hugs* and I am sure she'll be fine in no time at all, the wonders of ante-natal care these days. Give her lots of cuddles once she is out of the humidcrib.
