Happy B-day to Scubadaz......hope you have a good one ! And enjoy being 36...remember we don't get any younger as time goes by... listen to grandma Peace Lily...lol :-)
Michelle- the mention of manx cats makes me miss my cat ...his name was Stubbs but I called him Tubby Butt, I only had him for 3 years (in fact he was a Christmas gift from my daughter).....but he was the "most special" cat I ever had.. He's been missing since early summer..I wish I knew what happened to him. Something happened 'cause he loved me desperately and would not have run away :-(
GG2- I just want to say that was a very nice Christmas wish you had for Joe and all us,T2Jers. I hope you had a wonderful holiday yourself

Hey Everyone:
Hope you all had a good Christmas. I just went through four Christmas parties so far: My running group, volunteer workplace, my Marriott coworkers, & my family. There might be one more (after the New Year), on my Dad's side. I worked a double on Christmas at the Marriott, and boy was it busy. We served a lot of people and everyone was happy.
Skippygirl: Happy One-Year Anniversary on your guitar playing. I celebrated it at the Marriott party by having a Screwdriver and dancing.
McDave, Michelle, Peace Lily, Cheese101, & Everyone: Hope you all had a good Holiday.
Elpp: Cool pics on your new guitar.
Axeshredderjc: You're right. Chickenfoot rocks! As for the tattoo thing, all I can say is think before you do anything (such as that).
Blue_Moon: I haven't had a chance to listen to Them Crooked Vultures yet, but I value your opinion. I'll have to listen to their music soon.
scubadaz: Happy 36th Birthday. What a coincidence, I placed 36th overall out of about 200 last Saturday on that 50K run.
bobtheguitarman: Welcome to the site! To answer your question, I would check online such as Amazon, Barnes & Noble, & Ebay. They are some of the places where I look for any music, books, etc.
Well, time to get ready for bed. I have work in the (early) morning. Talk with you all later.

Hi Joe, I've just signed up recently on ur site....firstly coz ur one hell of a guitar player and yeah u've inspired me to take up guitar seriously. Prob is that the country in which i stay-India-still does not have great music teachers....for guitar especially. Could you kinda recommend some books or interactive cd-roms(which you find are really good for learning,y know) from which i could learn? Also should i study music upto GRADE 8?
THANKS..
Pls reply,tc.

Well, if you get a stupid tattoo, yer gonna hate it after you think about it or get comments on it. If you put a lot of thought into yer art and it has meaning, then you never get tired of it - it's that simple. Stupid tattoos are stupid before they ever hit yer skin. I also hate when I ask somebody where they got it, and they say :Oh, this guy did it in his living room or kitchen, and it only cost me $35.00. Of course it only cost you $35.00, it looks like hell! Also, the old guy with the tattoos - My dad used to jokingly say they put his tattoos on with a jackhammer. Ink & equipment was different back in the day. Bad colors and fat lines, but guys in the service would get them all the time. Nowadays, everybody & their mother has a tattoo. Some of them are brilliant, and some are wtf? I love tattoos, but not poorly done or stupid tattoos. If it's stupid on paper, it's gonna be stupid on yer skin.

I have one tattoo...a shamrock (clover) on the palm side of my wrist. Kinda nice 'cause it's hidden..but it's not.
Ahh...nothin' like replacing the starter in your wifey's car when it's 7 degrees out...gotta love it !!
