Congratulations (I think) to Van Morrison on becoming a father again at the ripe old age of 64. Quite how he's gonna deal with 'Little Van' when he gets into his mid teens will be interesting.

Al--Please accept my best wishes for your mom's recovery. Also sounds like you are beating this cold virus with all you've got! Good on ya!
Happy Birthday, Jeff Campitelli.......a drummer of perfection and grace with a smile on his face! How I admire you...sigh!.. :-D
I'm looking at some Ibanez solid body electrics online and found a JS series with a fixed bridge (my guitar teacher recommended a fixed bridge), JS1600. I also found GSA 60 in jewel blue and S470DXQM in bright blue burst very attractive. Don't know what amp would be appropriate.......just a combo 15 watt and that's about all I know. I'll ask my teacher and let you'll know what he advises.
Skippy, Al, Mark, Axeshedder, Guitarvibes and other guitar experts---I would appreciate any advice yous can give.
Thanx.

Hi everyone!
I don't usually do this, but a friend of mine and me made a silly cover of Flyin in a Blue Dream the other day.
You can check it out here:

Scoob - so the birthday celebrations went well? Have you thrashed the new pedal yet and when do we see a vid pls?
GG2 - I know nothing about guitars I'm afraid, best to ask the experts. I just went to a friendly shop and Mr Skippy bought me 2 old 2nd hand electric guitars which, thankfully (thnx Scoob, Pip and Roy) seem to be OK.
Yesterday was 35 deg (and another scorcher today for NYE) so I spent 8 hours on the guitar which is unheard of compared to my normal working week of 15 mins every couple of days, it was heaven. Except I can't for the life of me get 6/8 strumming I was tearing my hair out, my fingertips are shredded - my brain can't get the hang of it. It doesn't sound like 1, 2-3 it just sounds like the same stroke chopping wood in 4/4 time. Arrgghhhhh
roo - sounds like fun, congrats on the new everything!
Joe - Happy new year buddy!!!! A bit of blue to see the new year in?

To be honest Skippy i'd rather Joe enjoy some family time and put his feet up even though that means sitting in his studio writing his beautiful music that comes from the heart as he goes through probably what is a major turning point in his career after all he is only human but to see what he has accomplished and the Tour schedule he has achieved over the last 5 yrs has me amazed how he keeps going.
And above it all Joe does it all with a Smile so bright u can't help but be lit up :)
Let's not forget Joe slacked off for 9 yrs b4 this run of 3 tours downunder in 3 and a half yrs so he has more than made up for it so im sure he and the Foot will do the same in the future :) :) :) and plus im still hoping i get my guitar in my stocking from Sammy and the gang Sign it 4 me lol all not quite lost reindeers usually dont like to travel this far so im hoping they fed ex'd it and there pretty slack around christmas time so im allowing till 29th of march my b'day then if it aint here i will start thinking about packing my stocking away lol :)

That ukulele is a killer. I may need to buy one :)

Blue_Moon, Scubadaz and SkippyGirl--Thanks for the advice about guitars and amps. I'm still searching and will see if my teacher can accompany me to Guitar Center and Guitar Showcase.
Blue_Moon and DCK--"imagine what gg2 has" ha! ha! ha!
Alan, you know I have that work of art sewn up 4 leaf clover doll dressed up as a leprecaun! Michelle even gave me permission to name it AL! I love the round fuzzy orange nose--very Irish I guess. LOL! ;-)
You guys tend to go off on comedy shows.......par for the course!!!!! :-D
