Peace Lily; Glad you were able to see the talent. Kseniya Simonova does excellent sand art. She actually won Ukraine's Got Talent for 2009. If she was from the U.S. and competed on America's Got Talent, I believe she would win it (hands down). There's more of her sand art videos so check them out; I have. I almost forgot to tell you; that clip you saw was about what happened in her country of Ukraine (during World War II), recalling the year 1945 at the end of her artwork. I remember back in high school (U.S.History class) when we were studying about World War II and what happened (from the very beginning).
I got back into my running today and did an easy four miles out in the cold. The temperature was in the teens. It's going to get cold again tonight (I better bundle up). Temperatures have been in the teens and the wind chills, snow, etc. has made it feel like it's below zero. It's cold, but it's good running/conditioning.

My husbands uncle passed away tonight. He was taking his nightly bath . When they found him it was like he was peacefuly relaxing. I think that there are alot worse ways to die. He was a good man and he lived a good long life.

Glitzy - hi mate, good luck with all those races, sounds like you'll have another hectic year and no doubt some more excellent achievements. Hope you are not working too hard at all those jobs and finding time to smell some roses.
Peace - sorry to hear that, but I do agree it sounds like a peaceful way to go. *hugs* for you and Mr Peace.
Got my Davy Knowles DVD today, will watch it tonight after work. Can I just say here amongst friends :0), that I find it hard to watch Steve Vai.....great player and musician and the WTWTA DVD is great but I just can't watch him, I leave it on whilst I poke around the house doing things. It's the theatricals (the clothes, the hip/leg moves, the facial expressions) I can't get into them. I spend the whole time watching Dave Weiner.
My $0.02.

Peace Lily: I'm sorry for the loss of your husband's uncle. My prayers go out to your family. I'm here if there's anything to help.
Gotta Have Joe: Kayla, I'm continuing to pray for you.
Blue_Moon: Al, hope you're feeling better.
Michelle & Do The Stu: Hope the job/employment gets better for you both.
Skippy: Just saw your post. Great to hear from you. I do try to find time to relax, whenever I have some time. I'll be working some crazy days/hours this week; one during the lunch hour until around the dinner rush, two in the early morning, and two at night. I also got back into the running, after taking about a week off to recooperate the legs. I'm also looking over the runs I might do for 2010. I'll let you know what's up with my running. It's really getting cold here, so I've been bundling up to keep warm when I go out and run, or go to bed/sleep. Speaking of bed, I'm getting ready to do that. G'Day over there and G'Nite over here. BTW, if you could, please check out that link I put up earlier; you might like it. Thank you. :)
It seems that the start of 2010 is off to a rough/bumpy start for all of us. It better smooth out for all of us soon. Well, time to bundle up and head off to bed. Another day of work tomorrow. Prayers to all of you.

Skippy, I hear ya girl! Hi 5 on that! lmao! The expression "man up" always comes to mind when I watch Steve - but he is genius. Just to much of a cover girl for me. It's a great dvd though. Not enough Weiner IMO. Davy's dvd is great! If you have time after the music bit, watch the bonus bit with Davy back home. Pretty funny. Beautiful place too.
Peas, so sorry to hear about yer husbands uncle.
Glitz, the job is fine. It's just a given in retail. I'm gonna enjoy these 2 weeks off more than you know. lol!
Scubz, never got to see Pantera. Saw Aerosmith on the Get A Grip tour with Jackyl. Outdoor stadium bench seats in Hershey PA. It was so uncomfortable I barely remember the show.

It's good to hear from you Joe...thanks for stopping by. :-)
If I can ask... Are there any songs of yours, or maybe even a whole album, that stood out as a favorite to your mom more than anything else you've done? Or maybe a specific concert tour or other musical moment of yours that stood out to her for one reason or another?

hey kayla....I didn't even know you were married!
but hey girlie I am real sorry to hear you lost your baby...my kids are 20 and 18 and are not allowed to have any contact with me (for the last year and a half) so I kind of know how you feel coz its like they are dead.
Thanks for advise to practice practice...although I can't see how my hands are gonna change shape...but yeah ...keep going.
I was watching Guitar Wars last night...wow its just so amazing to watch their hands at work...viking kong is particularly spectacular.
Kind of at the same time I was reading a book on Paul Gilbert...well its a book of his interviews and one of the questions was if you could tour with anyone who would it be and he said that he would love to do the G3 again with you JOE and John Petrucci....hehe he also said that it was scary playing after you two coz it was like "how do you follow that!!"
hugs to all
Satriella xx

Hi Joe....Still waiting for your reply.....Please do.
Im gonna try and order some stuff for my guitar from the US-
Wanted some advice on which pick-ups should I go for,and also what stompboxes should I start out with. Im still at the initial stages of learning...but yet i want to try and include practice of using the effects pedals like the whammys and the wah-wahs. Would you recommend that i try and get the hang of it right now only or should i wait till im a little more skilled?
I must say that your stage sound is fantastic- all the equipment that you use, especially from your sleek Ibanez guitars to your amazing effects gizmos--all of it amplified through those Peavey stacks...its pretty cool!
The best live concert in my opinion was the one you had in 2006-live in Anahelm. I was simply bowled over by the way you played Summer song,Always with me,Cool No.9- I completely agree with one of the guys at the site that Satriani ahould be made an adjective;guitar playing will be good, cool, amazing, perfect and Satriani!-the ultimate level!
I was inspired to take up the guitar by you...and i do hope that someday, probably someday i'll be to play at least 5% of how well you play! Please do keep in touch Joe,try and reply to me whenever you can and have the time.....this coming from your biggest fan in India.
By the way,do try and arrange for a concert in India!!!
Regards...
