I just called the Satriani Skyroo store because I noticed that my DVD and CD were just leaving the warehouse this morning. They told me that there was a hold up from Sony who was help up getting the booklets autographed by "Mr. Satriani". So much for expedited shipping! Oh well, I suppose the autographed copy is just to look at anyway.
I suppose now I will go ahead and pick up a copy of the DVD at Best Buy today; unfortunately, no best buy in Idaho has the CD in stock.-- But I just found one at the record exchange for $17.99. Two copies left and he's gonna hold one for me while I make the hour long journey to pick it up. Gotta love small business even if it costs a little extra. Probably go ahead and buy the DVD there too even though it's $14.99.
I too was kind of put off by the FX in the Andalusia vid and the flashing of "I Just Wanna Rock" on the screen in that vid, but I will withhold judgment until after I've seen it. I can say that Joe was on fire that night. My jaw was on the floor just listening to those songs. I am just as excited about the CD to be honest, and the fact that it covers the entire concert.... well I could just give Joe a great big heterosexual kiss for that!

On song 4 - Ice 9. Amazing sound. Amazing show. Amazing band. If only I could see them. It's the Lady GaGa of videos. That's all I'm sayin'.
I love my Joe - very much - and I wanna SEE this show very badly, but it's kind of hard to do when effects are on super overdrive. At this point, I'm just.... shaking my head. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
It's really a fantastic show though. Joe kills it, as does the rest of the band, but when I can't even see Jeff's dimples, it's not on. I guess if I think of it as a cartoon video, it'll be alright :-/
Flying In A Blue Dream is decent. That's more like it! Just show the band. Still has that golden effect that wipes out detail, but best visually so far IMO.
And Ghosts goes right back to the overkill graphics. I love that Joe talks between songs. It always make me smile.
Super Colossal is pretty good :-)
still watching...

afternoon all! been a few days, noticed a few posts on the latest show while skimming through.
GG2: thats so cool you got to meet Joe and chat for a bit. the guy is just too cool, taking time to just chat with some fans.
hope everyone gets their dvds soon, sounds like some withdrawl symptoms going around. those not so special effects gotta go, hope the dvd isn't like that all the way through.
thats a lot of weed! pics like that kill me! just quit so i can get a job! again!
if anyone needs reminding. to qoute a little Nickelback, "live each moment like it's your last, leave old bitches in the past, donate everytime your asked, you can't rewind a moment in this life!" my niece's husband just passed away from a massive heart attack. no warning, no prior problems, he was sitting down talking to his daughter grabbed his chest and was dead before he hit the floor. he was 45! life's a roller coaster, this is my sister's (who just went through the cancer crap) daughter. they lived together and just got done celebrating my sister's second chance. now this, this is life.

Out Of The Sunrise, Joe does a little dance thang while clapping over his head. Worth my $7.99 right there :-) That and the smiles...
My hubs just came home and saw I bought aaaanother Joe dvd. He says "Joe's like one of my children I support!" LMAO!! Welcome to the family Joe! lol!

Speaking of LISF, I was on Itunes the other day to see if there was a digital pre order with any special goodies. Alas, there was no pre order for this cd. But I noticed that LISF is no longer offered in Joe's catalog. I wonder what the deal is with that? Was it done by a different label that no longer lists on itunes? I wonder if it's a mistake and no one knows. Well, Joe, if you're reading and you didn't know, you should look into it. The new release will surely prompt some new looks and new sales! =)

Sometimes we all get so wrapped up in day to day life that we forget to stop and take time to enjoy our lives. Such a shame......

P Lily, Andelusia is a bit better on the big screen - and they rock the hell out of it :-)
I think I see what Joe was going for. A fun, trippy, totally different vibe from his regular straight forward deal. He achieved it. lol!
Stu's bass solo - very nicely done in b & w. ...spoke to soon. it went overcolor. He's killin' it though in true STUUUUUUUU fashion. Gotta love that guy. lol! He's puttin' some stank on it too!
Ohh, what up?? Did we change the Stuuu chant to STEWIEEEEE! lol!
Cryin'...aaaaahhhhhh, so beautiful!
Mystical Potato Head...Head...Head. LOL!
JAYZUS!!! Joe finds the sweet spot in AWM,AWY and knocks it right out of the park! God I love that song!!!!
Holy Christ I love this guy!! Surfin' looks like some sort of Power Rangers hero thang. lol! Smokin'!!
I think once the initial WTF!!! of all the graphics wears on, the vid gets better - and Joe effin rocks it like nobody's bidness!

Don - sorry for your loss, good grief life is so random. 45 is way too young.
M - what a bargain, I had to pay US$18 for shipping on top of the cost of the CD/DVD. Sounds like I'm going to enjoy it! Frankly, if it's Joe I know I'm going to enjoy it no matter what sort of editing has been used. Can't get enough Joe. Ever.
I wonder if any French T2Jers are in the crowd???? Speak up if you are and point yourself out :0).

Michelle - How's the sound quality on the DVD. I noticed when I sampled tracks in Itunes this morning they sounded like a home theater system set on Hall. Which isn't a bad thing at all in my opinion. It's a wider and bigger sound than Joe's previous live recordings. Plus my computer sounds like garbage anyway so it's not a fair judgment. Just a quick observation.

BTW, about an hour and 4 minutes before I'm unwrapping the cd in my car gearing up for the hour commute home!! =)
Glad all the ice is finally melting. I don't have to concentrate on not flying off the highway, but rather listing to great music.
BTW, this past weekend I took a flier on Bonamassa's new live cd from Royal Albert Hall. it's my 3rd cd but my first sampling of him live. Pretty good stuff. His voice definitely sounds different live than in studio. Less raspy and soulful. Nice tribute to Jimmy Page during the cover of Just Got Paid.

Joseph/Joe Satriani/Satch: Nice to see som blue.
I have heard from a friend that you are going to play in Denmark in late 2010? That made me think that you probably have planned a 2010 Europe tour, since you are playing in Denmark. Is that right?
I really hope it is :D
I really enjoyed the concert in Amager Bio in 2008. AMAZING CONCERT. Since the concert, I have so seriously regret that I didn't buy a meet n' greet ticket.
