Joe - Hey, the Mermen sound pretty cool...where'd you come across them? I just checked tour dates on their website; too bad they're not playing any shows in the LA area.
For something kind of but not really related, have you heard any Explosions in the Sky? I've always wanted to ask you about them.
Don1963 - Sorry to hear about your niece's husband...let us know if there's anything we can do.
hybes - I checked elsewhere and LISF is still available. That show is kind of outdated in that it was filmed in standard 4:3 instead of widescreen 16:9...maybe that's why iTunes isn't offering it any longer?
michelle - "This will be the EOC of Joe's DVD collection so far."
I love EOC, so that's fine with me. :-)
Will this DVD be sitting on your shelf next to Dream Theater's Metropolis 2000: Scenes From New York? Talk about crazy effects...haha.
scubadaz - I'm confused...aren't all the cool contests supposed to be limited to the US? Hehehe. Best of luck to everyone across the pond!
Listening to: The Mermen - She Wandered Into A Blue Xoam
Oh, and I'm in the chat with Railton now if anyone else wants to join us...
...Austin...

Austin, remember all the hubub when EOC came out? It was the "strangest" thing Joe had ever done. lol! This DVD is trippy to say the least.
As for Metropolis 2000, I almost wore that sucker out the first few months I had it. lol! Home and Dance of Eternity are even more worn than the rest of the DVD. lol! I get chills just thinking about watching those two again :-) The way Mike crosses over his sticks in DOE - shaaaa! It's a jaw dropper. lol!

Hey,
I'm still alive after last year.Moving on to the subject of the new DVD. We all know Joe's hands can move up and down the fret board with great alacrity. However It's fun to see all the colors and stuff going on in his DVD. I think as someone mentioned he's trying to reach a broader audience which I think is great.
What I would like to see with Joe is what Steve Vai has done and incorporate some varied new musicians into his music. I have been following Joe since the 80's and it's funny how you can get a little older. It would be great to see Joe's music mature and broaden its horizons. I don't think that will be with Chicken Foot either.
Another thing is many of these songs have been on other DVD's. Besides this the DVD is very good and entertaining with some stand out moments(Andalusia) being one.
