Computer trouble!
I was having trouble with my computer.. So I called David, the 11 year old
next door whose bedroom looks like Mission Control, and asked him to come over.
David clicked a couple of buttons and solved the problem.
As he was walking away, I called after him, 'So, what was wrong?'
He replied, 'It was an ID ten T error.'
I didn't want to appear stupid, but nonetheless inquired, 'An, ID ten T error?
What's that? In case I need to fix it again.'
David grinned. 'Haven't you ever heard of an ID ten T error before?'
'No,' I replied.
'Write it down,' he said, 'and I think you'll figure it out.'
So I wrote down: I D 1 0 T
I used to like the little shit.

Mr Wolley, I think I watched the This Is It video about 5x now. lol! I wasn't a huge MJ fan, but I've always respected his work and liked his songs. If anyone wants to see what it takes to put together a production, especially a Michael Jackson production, which are bigger than any other, you definitely wanna see this. The sound is phenomenal. The dance moves are like no other. The production is amazing. Michael's musical mind is pure genius. After watching this vid, I can't imagine him being on the kind of drugs they said he was on. His mind is so sharp, and he pays attention to every minute detail. His dancing routines are spot on with the other dancers too. In the extras they show the costumes he was going to wear. Holy shit man, that show was really going to be something to see. I absolutely recommend renting it. My husband liked it enough to tell me to buy the video, which really surprised me. lol! As we were watching it for the first time, I asked him to pop & lock for me. He didn't even know what that meant. lmao! As for me, I can pop & lock & drop it like it's hot, I just can't pick it up again. lol!
Orianthi is in the trailer clip
Here is a great interview from one of the MJ dancers - Timor Steffens Watch his face after the clip around 2:08. That says it all.

My CD/DVD came today. Sorry for those that are still waiting.
Work is keeping me busy (the hotel/restaurant and guitar store).
I've haven't been in the chatroom. After reading the posts, maybe it will be better not to go in there.
Talk with you all later.

I received my Live in Paris DVD & CD today! Have only listened to about 1/4 of the CD & have enjoyed it immensely! Getting ready to watch the DVD now. The nicest part? I received an extra cover/sleeve for BOTH the DVD & CD, and BOTH SIGNED. NICE =) I had hoped the shipment would have come a day or two sooner, but good things come to those who wait. Yesterday I picked up a JSX mini Colossal 5w class A tube amp for my 6 yr old son (he likes that my JSX 212 has a son now too) good times THANKS JOE!!!

G'day Joe , how are you doing mate,?
I dont think ill be getting the new live in paris dvd, from what i saw of the Always with you, Always with me clip on amazon.com.
You really rock in that clip but i just cant watch it, its like all the effects make me dizzy,, which is unfortunate, as i have seen you live many times when you've been to Sydney in Australia..
I cant watch alot of those movies with special effects etc so I'll just be getting the cd version of this....sorry joe but can you get the editor back form live in sanfransico dvd, much much better to watch. I want to watch you and the band not special effects...

Just saw Sammy Hagar's new Les Paul. Looks nice! Cool the way they were able to add the chickenfoot logo on it. Wish it wasn't 4000. Little out of my league.

Distorted Soul: Rick, that's way cool. Via satriani.com, huh? I got mine through Amazon and saved about $10.00 for pre-ordering them early. I might do what you did, the next time Joe puts another album out. Who knows, maybe I'll get an autograph sleeve like what you've received. Kudos to you! BTW, looks like we'll be hit with snow in our areas soon; just caught the weather forecast.
Hope everyone here is doing well. Looks like we'll be getting hit with snow here soon.
Well, time for bed; I have work at the guitar store in the morning, and then it's work in the evening at Red River Steakhouse (at the Marriott). Not looking forward for this Winter Weather Advisory, or some sort.

I bought the Live in Paris DVD and almost watched all of it...
its the dvd I like the least. WAY too many video effects all around the place like they didn't know what to do. The songs were okay although I still find that he plays the classics TOO OFTEN. I have had enough of summer song and satch boogie. Songs from the new album were great but the tone wasn't always as best as it could have been.
LIVE IN SAN FRANCISCO is by far the BEST Satriani DVD
and LIVE IN PARIS is the WORST Satriani DVD.
its a shame, because Satch's music is so great!

Hey!
I need to be fast, so I cant read all the posts on T2J since last time. But I just wanted to pop by to show you a very unknown and rare recording by Joe Satriani, with a little history behind it:
On Friday 6th February 1998, Joe Satriani made a special visit to Guitarist's London studio to record a unique piece of music, especially for the readers of the magazine.
Jan Cyrka had created a backing track in a style which he knew Joe would feel comfortable with: "The most amazing thing about it was that he'd never heard it before. I just played a few bars so he could get the gist of what the track was all about ... then I ran the tape and he just did it. First take! It was completely amazing."
Listen to it here
Have a nice day!

Hi Joe !
I want to ask you if it is possible that you could release another version of Live in Paris on dvd ? It is painfull to watch. All those graphics takes kill's the actual performance.
I hope there's something you could do about it. Line in S.F and on Anaheim are just amazing. Are focusing on the band and"You". That is all we want to see. No special effects. Please ! I'm your fan since 1992. I started playing guitar with your songs and i keep on playing them. In 2000 when Steve Vai came to Romania from wich i am i asked him to tell you that we are we waiting you here in Romania. Youy have a lots of friends here. Please if you could schedule a live performance in here it woul be great.
You are just amazing ! The greatest guitar player Ever !
Thank you .
