It was fun watching Joe last night. I need to get my hands on the LP version of LIP.
Joe I don't know if you will ever read this post but I had a question. I was listening to the Super Colossal CD last night waiting for Kimell to come on and during It's So Good I thought I heard a triangle somewhere deeply imbedded in the music. Not sure if you would recall such a small detail, but it just caught me off guard. I can't remember hearing something like that in any of your songs before, and I'm not totally sure it was in this one. It suresounded like it though. Anyway, Super Colossal is actually one of my favorite cds. There is a lot happening in all the tracks. Nice work.

Hey!
Today I added all of my songs to a playlist on Windows Media Player, and made it play random songs. Then a really amazing song started after a couple of songs - a song that I totally have forgotten all about. The piano, saxophone, guitar, drums, strings and bass is amazing the whole song through. I personally think it has one of the best build-ups* ever. The drums and guitar is incredibble amazing at the build-up, that starts at: 3:58
Its a song from a really unknown supergroup formed in England by Frank Farian.
The supergroup's lineup included members of Barclay James Harvest, Toto, Boney M and Force Majeure.
Here's a link to the amazing song:
Far Corporation - Johnny Don't go the Distance
*Build up = The calm piece to the chorus
Im in the chat waiting for someone to join. Im bored :(
Blue_Moon: Amazing song you created there!
Have a nice day!

Blue Moon - It's on "It's So Good" between 1:20 and 1:40. Let me know if you think that's triangle. It doesn't sound like a ride cymbal being lightly played. If it's not triangle, I'm not sure what it is.

Good Morning Satchland..... How Is Everyone? Possible 6" to 12" snow by Wed. in Chi - Town. Oh well......
axeshredder..... Thanks for the vid link. I noticed Joe with a Marshall and his Vox "Time Machine" running through the effects loop. I'm wondering how this has effected his relationship with Peavey? Do you think Joe will return to his JSX amp? The JSX is great amp. I'm not stating this cuz' of Joe. The best amp I've ever owned and sighed by Joe at Guitar Center's PSATMOR meet in Chicago.
My JSX
Have A Great Day Everyone ........

Yep, 1:23 is exactly where I first noticed it. I've probably heard the song 100 or more times and never noticed it before. Let me know if you think of the instrument.
I wasn't sure about a triangle either, unless it was damped.

Hi Joe:
I've been trying to figure out what S.M.F stands for?? Its one of my favorite songs from my favorite Satch album!
Also, I've been listening to Roy Buchanan a lot. Has any of his work inspired your guitar playing and/or writing?

Oklahoma is only 4.5 inches from it's highest season snow fall amount ever. BTW, that would be a whopping 24 inches!! lol. Cheese can back me up on this one though....it just doesn't snow here. Now ice is becoming quite the norm. We get ice storms like regular rain fall now. It's crazy.
I grew up in Maine though, so I like the snow. Have been missing it for many years. The crazy side of me wishes I was in Philly for the 28 inches they just got!!

BTW, I have a question for anyone that has the Beatles remastered box set. Is all the audio still running out of separate channels in this remastered set or have they fixed that? I can't help getting freaked out all the time when I listen to the Beatles through headphones. The singing makes me dizzy because the audio tacks are all separated. It's a very strange sensation.

Received the Joe Satriani Live in Paris: I Just Wanna Rock DVD late last week. Sadly, out of all the Satriani DVD's I own (and I own them all) this one is the most disappointing. Immensely disappointing actually. I was expecting a concert DVD similar to Joe's other DVD's. This was more like a 90 minute music video. The extreme overuse of video effects from start to finish almost make the video unwatchable. I can't watch more than 15 minutes at a time before I have to turn it off due to my eyes getting tired from the bombardment of video effects. Every wacky effect you can think of is apparent in this DVD. This is the only Satriani DVD that I will be selling, and selling quickly as possible. It's that disappointing.

Good news! My mom is getting moved out of critical care and into a regular room! They even had her up walking today. YAY! She had an MRI today to see if the stroke did any damage. No idea when we'll get those results.
Thank you to everyone who sent good vibes and prayers to my little mama. I've printed out all of them and I'm going to give them to her in about an hour when I go to visit her :-)
TY TY TY!
