Blue Moon - thanks McK Al. Hows Ms 1200CA?
Slansh - sounds cool! Look forward to hearing it all. You just reminded me, I heard someone mention on the radio today that they didn't have a red album, or a white album... only the brown album lmao
So... is this Borat doing NAMM interviews?
Or how about one seriously Funky MF gettin his groove on? He should start a group with Joseph.....
I keep screwing up links... grrr

I like cake. Don't worry Peace Lily, I didn't give up cake for Lent. However, I did give up ice cream and any alcoholic and energy drink.

Does this interview contain some irony, or is it just the way I'm reading it?
Skippy - ripped out some riffs (?), opened some cool stuff, ate some nice food, hung out with fave peeps, looked at cars (yeah, I know!)... simple but smile inducing stuff ta

Did an easy 5-Miler out in this cold (that felt good).
Thanks Skippy. I was in the chatroom earlier today with Jamie. Wish you can join. May not be having cake, but at least I have you and the others here to chat with for my birthday.
Watching the Olympics now. Ice Dancing should be pretty good. Go Belbin & Agosto and Davis & White of the United States. Virtue & Moir of Canada lead going into the final dance. Hope we get two medals in this competition. It would be really neat if it was a "North American" sweep in Ice Dance.
McDave: Good for you. Catch any Survivor lately?

Sure Skippy; let me be the first and count me in. It might be a challenge to chat with you despite the time differences, work, etc. If I had a laptop or my own computer, then I would chat with you easily. I'm an early bird, night owl, or some watchamacallit.
BTW, thanks Dream3, The HawkGuy, and Railton for the chat earlier today.

so to set the record straight..as so many prefered to gang up on my comments....so heres the proof
http://drugwarfacts.org/cms/?q=node/30
alcohol kills over 80,000 a year....weed-0
"5. This is a remarkable statement. First, the record on marijuana encompasses 5,000 years of human experience. Second, marijuana is now used daily by enormous numbers of people throughout the world. Estimates suggest that from twenty million to fifty million Americans routinely, albeit illegally, smoke marijuana without the benefit of direct medical supervision. Yet, despite this long history of use and the extraordinarily high numbers of social smokers, there are simply no credible medical reports to suggest that consuming marijuana has caused a single death.

What an Ice Dance Competition. Virtue & Moir of Canada gets gold and Davis & White of the U.S. gets silver. Belbin & Agosto, who were 4th going into the free dance, finished 4th; not bad at all for the defending Olympic silver medalists. The Russians take the bronze. No offense, but in my opinion, it should have been a "North American" sweep.
What was awesome is that Virtue & Moir and Davis & White are not only best friends, they have the same coaches (they train together), and they go to the University of Michigan. WOLVERINES BABY!! How cool is that!?
Darn, I don't know the lyrics from the National Anthem of Canada (just some). Sorry Canadians, I better start learning.
Congrats to all. Now the ladies will skate.
Dream3: Yes Jamie, my birthday is on the 24th. Thanks mate and G-day to you. :)
Skippygirl: Count me in when you get started on the chat mass. :)
Later everyone, I have work at Red River tomorrow morning.

This may sound strange but I was thinkin' about Michelle when I read this article from the New York Times....date line Harrisburg, PA, 2/20/2010 "Falling Further Behind" by Bob Herbert......This article is about how Pennsylvania is suffering due to this stinking, sinking Great Recession or whatever ya wanna call it that has devastated this country. How the schools/infrastructure of PA is running into the ground! We are in such a sad state in this country.....it's hard to hold our heads up and keep goin'..........We need NEW infrastructure.......NEW energy sources.........NEW bridges......NEW roads.........NEW rail lines........and so much more to keep this country a developed one. How many times do we have to learn lessons about renewal and that we need to join the rest of the world in standing up for each other's well being and getting REAL healthcare reform with a public option. Americans on here and peoples around the world know what it's like to be cut loose from an employer and left hanging by a thread........every state in this country including California where I've lived all my life has enormous troubles with rising costs of something as basic as healthcare........I am feeling ill and sad and want peace on here just like Jon Luini said.....Let's all embrace each other in a collective hug....
Love,
GoldenGirl2

Anyways: video interview with the virtuoso David "Fingers" Haynes, the amazing fingerdrummer! Check it out, he's a lot on Youtube too. But first time he shows and explains some of his technique.
First track of the new Hendrix album on the web now. I like it a lot. But when you've been hungry for more for decades anything...........

Dream3 - thanks!
Glitzy - OK so you're in Indiana right? So you're 16 hours behind Melbourne and so is New York.
LA/San Fran, Oregon etc is 19 hours behind Melbourne.
Copenhagen, Amsterdam and Barcelona are 10 hours behind Melbourne.
London and Dublin are 11 hours behind Melbourne.
So........by my calculations
Melbourne 8:00am =
New York/Indiana/PA 4:00pm the day before
LA/San Fran/Oregon 1:00pm the day before
Europe 10:00pm the day before
London/Ireland 9:00pm the day before
I think. How does that sound?
Say "aye" if that is a possibility for you for the Great Mass Satch Chat and then we can pick a date.
Well nighty night world.
