Hey Pip, thats great ..though its made my put the 1200 on a rack and thinking of selling it...my white 1000 with the edge is so great...the new edges are wimpy and some things Joe does, you cant even do because of it. Now the Original Edges are back..i dont think you can make em better....i always like the lockable bridge posts but if i remember correctly..theyve removed them?...i cant wait to try the acoustic...ive heard it plays awesome (both models)...im thinking "An ElectricGuitarists' Acoustic"

Kayla- prayers for your mom.....Hang in there and never give up hope.
Thanks again for the congrats and good vibes for my son......He worked very hard to achieve his goal and he is just the greatest kid a parent could ever ask for .......<3

McDave - I gotcha. Ya, it's really difficult out there right now. And bennies are dropping off fast. We are a long ways from climbing out the hole this country is in. Hope things look up for you soon. If you work in manufacturing however, it's just going to get tougher. More manufacturing jobs are getting shipped overseas than we can shake a stick at.....and manufacturing is what makes this country money. Without it, we have very little to offer the rest of the world and very little income we can generate to get out of this mess we are in.
I know we do a lot of great things for countries that have been hit hard with tragedy, but I can't help but think everyday that we sometimes do too much for everyone else. I drive under 2 bridges on my way to work everyday where there is a rather large population of homeless people and it's disturbing.

Mikesb - was she sat too clost to the Olympic Torch (Alanis)? I missed it....
Cheese - ah, glad you two had some nice time. Couldn't bring guitar on the bus as too big for the 'hold' (just curious)?
Scuba - unless on the road I'm pretty sure Gary B is still Joe's luthier. As it's just a neck swap I'll plump it's Joe tinkering. Good idea on the pub lunch!
My red/white JS1000 is in the shop now (where Muse have their work done), having a re-fret. Slightly concerned that the luthier has phoned twice in around 5 days to confrim I want 6105 fret wire
Joe Satriani - I'm guessing you swapped a favourite feel neck from one baby onto another? Or how about a 22 fret neck onto a JS2400 to see how it sounded : ) Any shims required anywhere?
Michelle - good attitude to have on both counts. Only as young as you feel... actually, I've just thought - Pips tip of the day, always make sure your partner is a lot younger lol
Axe - why not get your 1200 routed for original edge & put one in with locking studs (about $30, & original edge bridge only without claw, new springs etc around $200 + however much for someone to cut the slightly deeper rear route)?
Good point re the acoustics - and I can't find one over here to go try : ( Black acoustic = uber cool
Cappy Steve - sorry to hear that, I skimmed posts and missed it. You've lost far too many already, just not fair. Sending good vibes your way
Blue Moon - who's crack? (cue joke from Cube)
lol - look how much gear talk from me. I know very little btw, it just happens you peeps are talking about stuff I've been dealing with over the last few weeks

castle, YAY!! Have a WUNNERFUL time! And I hope u spot Joe and maybe score a hug :)
Pip, he came over on a shuttle bus, smaller than a greyhound. They have some restrictions on how much you can bring...if there's not many riding that day he mighta been able to bring a git, but u never know till it's time to board, and by then it's too late. Ahhh well, he lives through it, LOL! I try to keep him extra busy whilst he's here :D And if that doesn't work, I threaten him with chores, LOL!!!
And now fer today's funneh....
Church Organist
There was this small church down in Texas that had a very big-busted Organist. Her breasts were so huge that they bounced and jiggled while she played the organ. Unfortunately, she distracted the congregation considerably. The very proper church ladies were appalled. They said something had to be done about this or they would have to get another Organist.
So, one of the ladies approached her very discreetly and told her to mash up some green Persimmons and rub them on the nipples of her breasts and maybe they would shrink in size, but warned her to not eat any of the green Persimmons, though, 'because they are so sour they will make your mouth pucker up and you won't be able to talk properly for a while'.
She agreed to try it.
The following Sunday morning the minister got up in the pulpit and said.....
" Dew to thircumsthanthis bewond my contwol, we will not hath a thermon tewday."

Hi Joe--Hope you're in a good place today and you are in the moment (why should I doubt it?) every step of the way! You are a shining light to us Satch Fans/T2Jers, whatever u wanna call us! LOL!
Whenever I'm away from here, I miss so much......I missed a couple of comedy "shows" on here about "brown sound" and a "Chapman Stick" (coulda been Chapstick for all I know...LOL!) Then there's the Canadian/American comedy "show" that is ongoing with all kinds of witty re"Mark"s from both sides of the border!!! oooooo! :-/
Al McMoon--Thanks for your view of the team Ireland and the winter games.....always enlightening! Thanks for sharing your boundless energy on this forum! Keep up writin' those songs......great pedal board btw.
Guitarvibes---Anything you would like to share about the Netherlands team in the winter olympics? Just askin' for your point of view on the games. Thank u.

Joe: Great to see those blue posts.
Kayla: Prayers to you. Keep your chin up.
Keniko: Thank you, I had a good birthday. On my birthday, I chatted in the Chat Room with some of the T2Jers, and met up with my running group afterwards for a run and to go out to eat. BTW, no birthday drink for me; gave up ice cream, any energy drink, and any alcoholic drink for Lent. I'm not a huge drinker since I run a lot.
What a busy day & night for me. I got called in to work (at the hotel/restaurant) this morning, then worked a couple of hours at my other job (until the next worker arrived), renew my liquor license, paid bills, got a haircut (trim/buzz), tried to get my kilt trimmed and resewn for that 5K Kilt Run on the 13th, and visit my folks. Whew, glad that's done. I'll have another busy day tomorrow.
Take care peeps!
Grant

Pee silly, Pipster and Skippychook - Thanks. The sad thing is that i'm starting to get a bit numbed by it all. I know when you get older folk start dieing around you (either that or you die yourself) but losing brothers and cousins who are in their mid fifties just don't seem right. At least we got the next generation coming along (boldly going where noone has gone before).
