The Academy Awards were really interesting tonight, I took notes so I know what movies I need to rent....and I loved Sandra Bullock's acceptance speech...she made me tear up :) But then, so did the shorts of a couple of the movies nominated for Best Picture...."Precious"...and even "Up"
I think I wrote about 10 movies down to check out.
Day off tomorrow Joe....whatchoo gonna do? :)
Oh and hey JR, how about a show review from tonight!!

has anyone ever put a prestige neck on a JS 100?? just curious. I know the pick-ups are easy enough to upgrade and with the exception of the Edge Pro trem, those are about the only differences between the JS100 and the JS1000.

mornin all! just caught up on a couple dozen pages. great links to check out! loving the Hendrix show links.
nice axes Axeshredder!
still looking for work here not much around though! i use a jobsite board called indeed.com, which is like google for job postings. use to get about 600 to 800 new postings a day but its down to around 300 lately and they say the economy is getting better...... i'd like to know where that is happening! found this funny little ad this a.m., check it out! click here
hope everyone is doing well, or the best that they can under the circumstances. think we are gonna go out and enjoy our beautiful day. gonna be around 60 degrees here today in RI. so we're gonna go to the park for a nice walk. went there yesterday and wound up calling the state police because we found what looked like human bones. a couple troopers came out to bag them up and see what they are. apologized a couple times to them for having to hike through the woods with their spiffy uniforms on just to collect some bones that may or may not be human, but they said we did the right thing by calling it in. you never know!

Don1963...funny ad. Hey..what the hell..I would clean someone if the price was right..lol.
Our show on saturday night went well. Especially when they handed me $170 at the end of the night. If I could just get away with that 5 days a week...with benefits, sick days & vacation.

Does anyone know how to read GPS coordinates? I got a hold of a book that has coordinates for ghost towns in my area. I understand the latitude longitude part. But Google Earth uses minutes and seconds while my book only gives you minutes. For example: Latitude N48 06.108'...How do you break that down into seconds also? Googles format is 6' 00.00". Hope someone here is a brainiac 'cause I'm about to have a meltdown. And I bet it's easier than I'm thinking..ugh!

MaccyD - It's easy if you know! Degrees of latitude and longitude are broken down into degrees and minutes, there being 60 minutes in a degree. Likewise minutes are broken down into minutes and seconds, there being 60 seconds in a minute. It can become slightly confusing when the minutes are sometimes referred to as minutes and decimals and sometimes as minutes and seconds. However, as a minute of latitude is a mile unless you're working to tight margins it's not too important.
60 degrees 40.5 minutes = 60 degrees 40 minutes 30 seconds.
Hope this helps.
