Pippy, I think he gets booed because he just won't get off his arse. He says he feels uncomfortable playing standing up and says he doesn't give a toss if people think he's moody for sitting down. Personally I think his playing is unique, to me it's like it doesn't sound quite right but sounds really good despite that. Difficult to explain really, mebbe one of the guitar nerds can put it better.

Pip55--Cough... spits out usual midnight crap snack.... did somebody say 14 guitars? ARE YOU TRYIN' TO GROSS ME OUT, GUY????
CASTLE49--Thanks for the review from Santa Barbara!
Alan--That Memories (vid).divx was interesting......a handsome Irish guy with spikey haircut and posh sweater/jumper/whatever singing to the ocean or a woman(?) Not nearly as interesting as you because of the way yer parents/family raised ya! My thanks to Mr. and Mrs. McKenna Snrs for raising to adulthood a musical young man with a bright future!! They had a lot of help along the way hopefully.......parents can get tuckered out at times! Oh....also, it must be extremely tough keeping up with goings-on in Ireland. Including the growth of Yew Trees. For myself, I love the tallest tree in the world because it attracts dutch people like GUITARVIBES because the dutch are the tallest people in the world! So there ya have it! :-)
Michelle--I'm not sure why I like trains so much.....has to do with growing up with a man named Joe who enjoyed trains of all sizes since he was a youngin'! A dad named Joe from the earlier part of the 20th century until his passing in 1994. He was a dad for more than 40 years. I miss him.
JOE--what great songs you have written and performed and still make it look and sound so natural.....all those great thoughts are contagious and communicate joy, sadness and some complex emotions that amaze and surprise me....you and your guitars...what fun, great memories and good times to come!
Tracie--You are so right about face time with Joe.....so valuable and lasting......something to think about and to be grateful for....more joy to share!

Mikesb- Since I am a newbie ...is this the "Clarky" you make reference to ?
I am assuming so since names match up . Just curious.... have seen his name come up every so often on T2J.

Hi, Joe. I'm a MAJOR fan of yours, and am desperate for help.
I must admit that I can't help feeling a little silly asking YOU about this, but you see, I'm in a terrible fix. I've had enough of looking at tabs and working through banal technique building exercises, and want to move on. However, my knowledge of music theory is limited, and I can't seem to find a promising source for enhancing my knowledge of it, whether online or in an institute. Every time I look, my search seems to finish in a dead end. It's scary, I know, but my frustration is so great that I'm beginning to get kinda disillusioned with the idea of music as a whole.
I'm 18 years old (and have been playing guitar since the past five years), live in Geneva, Switzerland, and am willing to go to ANY lengths necessary to acquire a concrete, fulfilling understanding of theory, in the hope that I'll finally be able to understand what's really happening when I play whatever I play, and eventually be able to guiltlessly compose my own music.
Wherever I have searched, be it workshoplive.com or countless other places, it has appeared that courses in jazz seem to be the ultimate solution to my predicament. Am I correct? Whether I'm right or wrong notwithstanding, here's hoping that you can point me in the right direction.
Thanks.

Hi everyone,
Does anyone know if Joe is ending or has ended his association with Peavey? I know that when he sat in on Jimmy Kimmel he was playing Marshall, and the advertisements for his upcoming in-store appearances list Marshall as a sponsor with no mention of Peavey. Anyway, just curious.
